Bob is wonderful. He helped me focus my job search and motivated me to get serious about changing careers. I learned about what kinds of environments and subjects work best for me, which I think about often in my daily life. Bob’s resume writing help was probably the most valuable part of the experience for me. He’s very supportive and continues to check-​in long after our sessions ended. When I started working with Bob I was pretty lost. Struggling through the transition of not having an occupation and not really having any direction in where or how to look for something that was going to keep me moving forward. I met with Bob recently to learn more about my professional self. He is detailed, organized, experienced, and insightful. For full disclosure, I did not use all of his services. He offers resume analysis /​writing and job recommendations which I did not use. He helped me understand which types of roles would be best for me. The book we used was slightly out of date but its concepts and applications are still directly on point today.

I came to Bob when I was at a job that I did enjoy but was not providing me with an avenue to reaching my full potential. Bob helped me to understand why I was not happy, plan a new course, and even help me put together my resume. I have now taken all the steps that I needed to in order to start my career.

I found working with Bob to be a great experience overall. From the introductory phone call to our last session, I found him to be a good listener and someone who got to really know what I was seeking for in a new career. I enjoyed the structure of the program and was able to complete it at my own pace. He was also helpful in getting me connected with some of his own contacts in order to help me transition into a new career. For anyone interested in learning more about themselves and what drives them, or if you are interested in having a plan to help get you into the right career, I would recommend Bob and his program.
Update (7÷27÷15): I was hopeful that after working with Bob I would get into my next job through networking instead of just applying for jobs online. I happy to say that within exactly one week of the completion of my work with Bob, I was offered a job. The job offer came from one of Bob’s contacts that he introduced me to. Thanks Bob!

Coming out of college I quickly realized that finding A career and finding the RIGHT career are two very different things. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Bob by a friend and he was great in helping me understand the things I would find rewarding in a job. He had a great program and a ton of good material to look through. Would definitely recommend that anyone considering a career change or trying to discover a more fulfilling job role reach out for an introduction with Bob.

I have never in a million years thought I would be using a career coach. But having Bob as a coach is the best investment I have ever spent on. He helped me find my strengths and motivators. He gave me assessments, tests and homeworks that I needed to answer. We both sat down, reviewed it and worked as a team. I wish I met him before I went to college. I definitely would recommend him to business owners, people who are transitioning to another career and students who want and need help on finding a major to match who they are. I had the good fortune of meeting Bob Britz, and after a free introductory session enlisted his help in my efforts to discover a new career path. I was skeptical at first — the idea that there may be an easy solution to finding out what the perfect career might be for me, sounded too good to be true. And, coming from a family of academics (mostly psychologists), I was also wary of a theoretical approach.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that Bob Britz’ methodology is real-​world and practical. Through a number of sessions involving in-​depth discussions and testing, Bob helped me find a variety of different career paths that match my skill-​sets, work experience and natural aptitudes.
Anyone who is interested in broadening their career options or optimizing their current working life, will benefit from Bob’s course. It’s worth every penny of the cost, and after going through with the course I’ve realized this isn’t an expense but an investment.

Bob is absolutely great, I would recommend him to anyone looking to make a change in their career as well as anyone coming out of school who isn’t sure where they should start with a career. The process that he took me through really helped me to understand what I didn’t like about the job I was in and where I should be focusing my efforts. Through several self assessments and online assessments we were able to identify not only the type of person that I am both personally and professionally but how to apply that to a career that fit my lifestyle.
Like I have read in other reviews here the best thing you will get from Bob is an understanding that everyone has different motivators and skills, and he will help to show you how to turn those into a satisfying career. I am about to start my new job tomorrow and I wouldn’t have been able to get into this place without Bob. I turned down a couple of offers along the way of my job search because of the insight I gained working with Bob.

I have been working with Bob for about 6 weeks now, and I am incredibly glad I picked up the phone and called him. Initially, I wanted someone who could help perfect my resume and provide tips on interviewing, but what I got was so much more.
Together, we began to look through the events of both life and career, to look for those activities that truly made me happy. Through his online assessments, we gathered data regarding my personal characteristics, strengths, wants, motivators, ideal work environment, etc. The results of these assessments were mind blowing. Turns out, I had been unhappy in my previous job because it just wasn’t a match for who I am. Someone else could be perfectly happy doing what I was doing. Bob explained that this was the main reason I was unhappy and started to lack motivation and morale.
After looking through all of the information about who I am, what makes me happy, what really challenges and motivates me, we focused on jobs and industries that would be an ideal fit. Armed with this information, we began the process of reinventing me. My resume, LinkedIn profile, etc. I positioned myself for the career I WANTED, not the one I had. Bob even helped look at particular industries and pinpointed companies that would be a good fit for my technical background and personality style.
Next, we focused on peer networking. Bob provided an easy to use methodology for reaching out to those close to me for advice regarding the next steps of my career. He showed how these casual meetings, having nothing to do with the industry, job or company you are targeting, could propel you closer to meeting a key contact who can help get you in front of the right people. Bob showed me how you could pick almost anyone you would like to meet, and trace a line back to someone you know. If you follow this method (for some people, this is hard to do), you can eventually get in front of the right audience.
After working with Bob, the calls started coming in, and the interviews started rolling. Through it all, Bob continues to be a presence helping to provide insight into industry, salary expectations, negotiations, etc. He stays in touch and wants to help in any way he can. I have passed every opportunity I have received passed him, and his advice has always been stellar. He has helped me stay focused on who I am and what will make me happy, motivated and successful. Without his guidance, I probably would have taken another job just like the one I was unhappy in before simply because it was easy.
Bob helps show you your strengths in ways most people never see and gives you confidence to believe in yourself and your capabilities. This is crucial, whether you are working and looking to switch jobs or careers or out of work and don’t know where to turn.
I would recommend Bob to anyone who even has the slightest idea that they are not in their ideal job. He has been a tremendous asset in my career grow and a trusted friend and advisor.

Bob is incredible at what he does! He really helped me dig deep and find out what I’m passionate about and what sort of careers I will naturally work well in. He’s extremely professional and uses 3 of the best personality tests that I’ve ever taken. He guides you through the whole process and is a great listener, note taker, and teacher.

Mr. Britz offers a unique service. He has utilized several disparate techniques ranging from the survey to statistics and blended them together to create a process that not only helped me to narrow down what careers might suit me but helped me know why they might be right for me, or not.
The process was custom tailored to my needs and even though the subject matter was hugely important, about the direction my young life might take (I am 22) it was a fun, often exhilarating process. I haven’t worked with a career coach before but I can’t imagine that Bob is anywhere but the very top tier. His experience in coaching and in life proved invaluable to me.

8 months later, I am still working for the same employer. Bob Britz helped me focus on my professional strengths and personality fits that go along with my job. His top-​notch work with diagnosing the solution as well as helping me prepare for my interview were invaluable. I echo what I recommended in February: Bob is a resource anyone looking for a career or direction should use.

I wanted to make a major career shift into a completely different field, and frankly didn’t know what to pursue or even where to begin. I felt overwhelmed and insecure about my decision, until I had the opportunity to work with Bob. He recognized why this shift was the right thing for me and walked me through what to expect in the near future.
He helped me discern my skills, passions, and needs. Working with Bob, I crafted a lot of language that was beneficial in knowing what to pursue as well as accurately represent myself in interviews.
Bob worked through my resume with me to ensure that it was clear, concise, and portrayed me well. He was accessible and attentive. Whenever we met, it felt like I was the only client that mattered; I always had his full attention.
I cannot speak highly enough of Bob, his work, or the value of my experience with him. If you’re looking for a job shift, career change, or simply to clarify what you love (and don’t love) about your current work, connecting with Bob will be invaluable.

I utilized Bob’s career coaching services and would fully recommend them to anyone. There were times in the process where I felt a little disillusioned, like I couldn’t see the end-​goal, but you just have to keep faith. His program was out of my comfort zone, but that same comfort zone had led me to a career in which I was miserable. You have to trust him and his system. I don’t mean to refer to his «system» as some mysterious as-​seen-​on-​tv pitch. I would break it down as follows:
1. He sits down with you and explores your past «work» experiences. Not just employment, but all past achievements, accomplishments, failures, etc. He has you read a really interesting book early in this process which made me do a lot of self-​reflection.
2. You take assessments to further hone in on your strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes.
3. You take the information from the first two steps and start exploring possible careers. It’s a pretty comprehensive exploration that looks at job duties (obviously), industry growth, salary, etc.
4. He then guides you through the actual process of looking for jobs in that new career. A lot of this revolves around talking to friends, family, and colleagues. I felt uncomfortable with this part of the process because I don’t like to ask anybody for help. However, the thinking behind his approach is very strong. I read somewhere that something like only 12% of jobs are actually posted online. And, in this economy, even if you do find one posted online, you will have an immense amount of competition for it. If you can, follow his advice in this part.
I may have missed some parts of the process, but I think that should give you a good general idea.
All of the above steps are done face to face. He gives you «homework,» but he guides you through the whole process. Bob himself is extremely likable, knowledgeable, and supportive. He was also very accessible and flexible. He’s the kind of genuinely good person that you’d want to keep in touch with after you’re done with the program. His fridge is completely covered with pictures and correspondence from people he’s coached and mentored in the past.
To sum up this looong review, I highly recommend Bob and this program in particular. Best of luck in your career search!

As a new business owner I was unsure of, well, a lot of things. After speaking with Bob I was able to implement some of his suggestions, and really find confidence as a business owner. I would recommend Bob to new business owners as well as veterans. He really helps you focus ON your business instead of always IN it.
