I also treat adults. My developmental approach and expertise in the area of child psychiatry, has been helpful in understanding patients in all stages of life. I am a diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, board certified both in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Smirnoff is not only a very talented psychiatrist, but also a great person without the ego that plagues most physicians. He is willing to see you on short notice, provides exactly the type of therapy you, as the patient, is most comfortable with and recommends medications only if he feels they are warranted. Dr. Smirnoff is very down-​to-​earth, approachable, and appears truly concerned about your overall well-​being. He does not hurry you through the apt and answers all your questions in an unintimidating fashion.
