AMF Wallington Lanes

This bowling alley is enormous! We were concerned, arriving at midnight, that it would be packed. To our surprise there were several lanes available. The employees were friendly and courteous. I didn’t try the food but the blue Long Island iced teas were good. Too bad I live so far away, I would definitely go regularly!

Taking a star away. When I came back (one week later) they had updated their bar area and lanes with tablets to order food/​drinks. This is terrible. You cannot keep a tab open at the bar, and the bartender can’t take your order. Normally, we keep a tab at the bar and go back and forth between our lane at out leisure. It took forever to get our drinks. Not to mention one of them (when it finally came) had lipstick on the glass! I don’t see why you would want to discourage people from hanging out and having a few drinks. Very disappointing.

I hadn’t been here in about 5 years, and I was pleasantly surprised with how updated it was! My boyfriend and I went at about 6pm on a Tuesday evening and there was no crowd yet. We didn’t end up eating (just had a beer each) but I think the idea of ordering lane-​side is great!
The only con was that it seemed to be a bit understaffed, which may have been because we came in before the evening crowd. It ended up taking quite a long time for our beers — my boyfriend actually ended up going down to get them. Overall, this is definitely one of the nicer bowling alleys in the area and we would definitely give it another shot!

Pretty good place, not amazing but pretty good. They’ve changed the lay out and some options which is why I give the 3 stars.
Originally they had a Saturday/​Sunday deal but that seems to have disappeared. For me and my 11 year old «little brother» for 2 games and shoe rental it was $ 36. Two games with an 11 year old go pretty fast. They’ve also eliminated the kids menu from their food options which is a bit of a disappointment for a place that is pretty kid focused. So now you’re paying more for a meal a kid won’t eat in its entirety.
The lanes are nice, the place is pretty clean and the service good. The bathrooms could use quite a bit of work but it is a bowling alley after all. I like the music videos and lights when you bowl it makes it more fun.
Overall, A-​OK for sure.

The place and ambience is pretty nice. It’s not too expensive, I paid around $ 13 for shoes and the amount of games total. There’s a bar right in the middle, also some arcade games and like two pool tables. It can get busy so sometimes there is a wait, so if you’re a big party try calling ahead of time. The food is pretty good but portions are very small unfortunately. Drinks are reasonably priced and some of them like the Long Island Iced Teas are pretty big so worth the price. As for bowling, it’s kind of dark when bowling so it was kind of hard to see. Also, there are giant screens above the pins so when you’re standing you can’t really see the top part of the pins. All-​in-​all, the place is cool but not sure if I would come back.

Nice, large facility with all the bells and whistles for a fun night out. The lanes are in good condition, the ball return works consistently and the automated scoring is reliable. They have specials during the week as low as $ 2/​game (check their website). But they money you save on the bowling will be offset by the relatively high prices for disappointing food. If you’re a recreational bowler, going out with friends or looking for a place to take the kids, the party-​like atmosphere with projection screens over the lanes will be a hit. If you take bowling more seriously, you’ll want one of the more brightly lit lanes (without the projection screens) so you can see the arrows and boards better. I’m already planning on going back.

I came here on a Tuesday with 3 other friends early in the evening to beat the teenagers that eventually take over. Upon paying, the manager would not take my groupon credit, not a Groupon good for more than I paid, an actual credit for what I originally paid. The promotional value had expired so you’re left with what you paid. There are no restrictions and nothing in the fine print preventing you from using what you paid to the bowling lanes. She refused to accept it and said the computer doesn’t allow her to do it. There was absolutely nothing she could do she said.
So we paid over $ 25 for the 4 of us and I couldn’t use my credit for the bill. Again, not a promotion, exactly what I paid to groupon $ 17.
It was bothering me so I went back after my friends started to bowl and showed her that nothing was in the fine print. Again, I have a credit, not a promotional discount. Now I already said this to her and someone else. Magically, without telling me she’s sorry or anything, she must have re-​wrote the computer software to allow it to take my credit. Talk about talent.
We get the money back and get charged the difference, great, but why did I have to press her that I knew nothing was in the fine print against this and waste my time and energy? Still no apologies, nothing from her. So my night is off to a good start.
So I go back, we order food. The waitress (selma?) must have been instructed to treat us differently. She had an attitude, didn’t want to help us and rushed us to get the bill closed out, but we were only on the first game.
So I order another beer since we were rushed to pay, I ask for the pint not a mug. What does she charge me for, a mug? But the credit card was already through so now it all has to be fixed which took forever. I waited for my beer for a good 20 minutes.
The next day my friend tells us her and her boyfriend got very sick from the food. Lucky for me I didn’t eat there. I’m left wondering what they did to their food or why would they get sick from their chicken wings?
2 stars because they remodeled. Everything else a 1. Plenty of other places to go and receive better service and treatment.
Why remodel without investing in your staffs training for customer service?

Came here to celebrate my friends bf’s birthday & it was an awesome time! Upon arrival there was about an hour wait. However they have a bar and you can order some food as well. I tried their pizza and it was actually not bad! I was expecting some mediocre microwaveable pizza but that was not the case. They have some arcade games & a pool table to keep you entertained as you wait. Overall my experience was great. The place was clean and our waitress kept coming over with our drinks & shots. I will definitely be coming back!

We went to Wallington Lanes on a Saturday night and it was crowded. We reserved two lanes in advance so we had no problem bowling, but ordering food was a nightmare. At one point the kitchen was closed and they weren’t accepting any orders. I would go back to bowl here but eat somewhere before going.

If you are not a serious bowler this place is fine, aside from being a bit dingy. However, if you plan on BOWLING, and you are a hook bowler, I would avoid this place unless you are in one of their leagues. Those are the only patrons that get some respect.
So I came back another time as a bunch of friends wanted to take the kids bowling. Same dry lanes as last time. But this time, there was a maintenance person oiling the lanes. I asked if he could oil my lane as we were willing to wait the 10 minutes it would have taken since he was doing all of them anyway, and he refused. I get that he would have had to do it again for the leagues that were coming in but shouldn’t they be oiling the lanes a bit more frequently? Also, if a customer asks for it, shouldn’t they oblige? It’s not like he’s doing it on his hands and knees. All he has to do is push a button on a machine and in 10 minutes it’s done. I give up on this place. I’d rather drive the extra 15 minutes to Bowler City so that I can actually bowl on properly maintained lanes with better customer service.

Today was the first time I ever set foot in this place, and boy was I suprised. Ir reminded me of Bowl-​Mor in NYC but so much closer to home. I went there to bowl a quick three games to kill time while the kids were at the mall with their cousin. I happened to come when it was cosmic bowling time. I definitely will come back with a lot of friends looks like a fun place to definitely hang out. Food wasn’t bad either it’s nice to be served while you’re bowling and eat and play.

This is not your run down middle aged man bowling alley.
It’s actually a cool place for a friend’s or family bowling night. It’s also a teenage hangout complete with arcade and food. Full bar for adults.
Only con is the price but you get what you pay for. Actually the bowling and shoe rental fees where reasonable. It was the food cost that was a killer.

So I think this place has an up to date look, nice couches, and is always fun to bowl at. But I have to mention this. The bar has a serious fruit fly problem. I went to get a pitcher I was literally swarmed by an army of them! It wasn’t a little it was a lot! It would be unethical in my opinion not to mention this. One landed in my pitcher and everything. Not eager to try the food after that. This swarm of nasty bugs soured an otherwise perfect night out bowling. As like I said this place is a lot nicer than a lot of other bowling alleys in my area. But damn that fruit fly situation at the bar needs to get taken care of! It was nasty and I thought I was going to get sick. I’ve never seen this happen at any other bowling alleys. Cmon guys I been coming here for years and seen this place make a lot of improvements. This means the bar needs a serious cleaning! Anybody who has seen the show bar rescue could tell you this a recurring problem that could be fixed with an extensive cleaning. This place could be a four or five star place to me but I wouldn’t feel right leaving this out of my review.

I clearly rated this place one star because I had no other choice.
To make a potential, painful, long review short, I will tell you do not come to this place if you are looking for good customer service. Bartenders, servers, managers are extremely rude and forget that they are working and you are the paying customer.
They make the weakest drinks, wait on a weekend could be 2 hours, food sucks, service sucks. Only thing going for them is the size of the location and the fact that they have other games to play to stay busy. Never going back

Came here on a Saturday early afternoon to peek at my sister in laws engagement shoot. (The couple met in a bowing alley so it was fitting) This bowling alley was VERY nice. As the wife of a bowler I travel often to different bowling alleys and they are not all cookie cutter at all. This one was 3 floors, bright red leather furniture and the obviously took care of the place. I was steadily getting busy with parties and families. It honestly reminded me of Fridays meets bowling. I would have loved to tried the food but we weren’t there long enough. The place has great lighting, a private parking lot and seemed like a lot of fun. I would sbsolutley go back seems it would be very comfortable to eat and hang out even if bowling wasn’t the center of the gathering.

I bought a Groupon deal for this bowling alley because i wanted to take my kids bowling and as we all know, bowling can get pricy. I did not have any problem redeeming my Groupon, they were very nice and accommodating. I haven’t been there in a long time so i was pleasantly surprise to see how they renovated the bowling alley. the food is not that great and bit expensive.

This is actually the coolest bowling alley I’ve ever been to.
Full service bar? Check.
Snack bar AND full service menu? Check.
Funky lit AND regular lit lanes? Check.
Arcade games AND a pool table? Check.
Modern and cool, comfy couches? Check.
Good music, with videos displayed on large projectors? Check.
Great weekly specials? Check.
They’ve outdone themselves. Although it’s a little out of the way for me, best believe I’ll be back!

I bought a groupon deal and finally came to redeem it. Note: you can’t add people to your lane even if they’re paying regular price when using the groupon.
Seems like they renovated the bowling alley and must say it looks great! They have an updated bar and menu. Prices aren’t too bad. They no longer have pitcher of beers which kinda sucks but they have a decent selection to choose from.
Order the wings and Parmesan garlic fries and they were both pretty good for a bowling alley. The groupon deal we had was awesome because we ended up playing for 2 hours and we got a lot of games in.
Would definitely come back and would recommend people to take advantage of any deals they can get as it can get pricey. They do not offer timed games but more like # of games and your shoe rental.

This bowling alley is huge inside and outside. It has a large parking lot, tons of lanes to play on, a few arcade games, a full bar located in the middle and a food court as well. Depending on your choosing, you have the option to pick from the glow in the dark or regular lit lanes. This place is newly renovated, so the couches and appearance of the place is really nice and kept very clean.
On Groupon for $ 17 for two hours of bowling and shoe rental for two people, its a bargains, regular price is $ 43. So if you like saving money like myself, I highly suggest to buy this deal in advance.
Whether I go with a few people or a large group this place is fun for all ages. Their prices are very fair, they have different deal specials depending on the day and time you go, its sure to give you a workout and a bang for your buck!
