Epic is a tutoring and test prep facility that specializes in one on one subject tutoring aligned to Common Core standards to provide the most enriching educational experience possible. Epic also offers a variety of six-​week group workshops to enrich students’ educations. These workshops include: SAT Prep, SSAT Prep, typing, MS Office, creative writing, essay writing, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Spanish, and more… Epic Test Prep provides individualized tutoring for students in grades 6 through 12.

History

Established in 2012.

EPIC Test Prep is affiliated with Knee-​High Academy, a partnership that offers individualized tutoring to students from kindergarten through grade 12. It began as an SAT Prep course and has grown into a full, common-​core aligned tutoring facility that employs certified /​experienced tutors, many with past or current classroom experience in local school districts. Dan EpicMan, the director, teaches many Epic workshops and previously taught English in a public high school in Kurume, Japan. Now he is working to ensure Epic Test Prep becomes and remains Wallingford’s premier tutoring center.

Business Owner

Dan EpicMan is the head of Epic, teaching SAT Prep and leading many other workshops, as well as providing one-​on-​one tutoring. He is a graduate of SCSU (BS, History) and is a certified history teacher who specializes in literacy (reading and writing). EpicMan emphasizes goals and accountability, and holds students to high standards in all of their work.
