Our community, Congregation Ohev Shalom in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, is an egalitarian Conservative synagogue. We are a community that is large enough to allow everyone to find people with similar interests, but small enough to allow everyone to feel like they are part of a family.

Our traditional but innovative shul offers regular religious services, a daily minyan, a vibrant Hebrew School and active youth group, varied educational activities, and a strong social action program.

A warm, caring, open community, Ohev Shalom strikes a balance between offering the ritual that observant Jews are looking for without judging those who don’t observe or understand all the «rules» — interfaith families are welcomed, young, old, single, married, with or without children — it doesn’t matter, all are welcome. A young, energetic, engaging rabbi with a cantor who has a beautiful voice get that their responsibility is to «bring Judaism to life in Delaware County.» That means offering a variety of educational, social, and ritual activities — as well as an active social action program. I can’t say enough good things — and I know I’m not the only person that feels that way. Try it out — the first year’s free!
