Casa Cortez

This is NOT your typical Mexican restaurant! Located off the beaten path, in what used to be Cherry Street Restaurant. Cherry Street lasted there only a year or two, I suspect because of the obscure location. I hope that is not the case with Casa Cortez! The one time there so far, we had a great time. We were served by the owner, Louis, and I believe his wife were the only two people working there at the time. (It was a slow Wednesday night, and they opened just recently.)
The food was EXCELLENT! Closer to fine dining than the typical Mexican restaurant experience. Interesting menu. Will be going back soon, and I expect regularly. I hope they stay in business despite their location, which is convenient, but lacks visibility. This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area.
