I chose this company because of Cliff’s professionalism over the phone, and the fact that everyone showed up when promised. Everyone was pleasure to deal with; that combined with the professionalism that was carried on throughout the entire project made me happy.
The crew was great, efficient, neat, and professional as well! The new floor matches the existing floors and the 100 year old floors that the team refinished throughout the rest of the house make it look like a new house!

We’ve had hardwood floors in various rooms of our house either installed or refinished three times since we’ve moved in. This latest time we got our three bedrooms refinished by Artistic Hardwood. We had a great experience with them. They were prompt, courteous and took great care in keeping the sanding dust from getting into other areas of our house. They even re-​did some pretty pathetic plastic sheet covering that I had tried to put up before they arrived. Each day they thoroughly vacuumed everything. We were amazed at the absence of dust buildup on our furniture that we had moved out into the living room, they really were very careful.
The floors were restored really nicely, and they took care to blend the rooms in to our existing hardwood hallway that connects all three rooms.
The other reviews sound more like a personal grudge against the company rather than a review of their actual work.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to our friends.

I used Artistic Hardwood Floors & Designs and was horrified with the result. They RUINED my floors! My gorgeous new hardwood floors now have ripples, dark splotches and uneven polyurethane throughout. I live in a 6 million dollar home in Westchester and had the worst experience with this company. All of my floors had to be replaced because their sander (uncalibrated) gouged holes and ripples in my floors. Artistic Hardwood Floors & Designs should NOT be in business. Be forewarned and do not utilize their services!
