Wow! What a turn around. I revisited Penny Lake yesterday. Everyone was helpful, friendly, smiling, and nice. Years ago I felt badly treated and it wasn’t worth going back. I’m really glad I decided to retry yesterday. The meat is definitely A1. Thanks Penny Lake for making me feel welcomed and comfortable on this trip. I’ll definitely be back if everyone definitely keeps up the kindness.

We started shopping at Penny Lake Market just a few weeks ago, and we have been missing out as new residents of Walled Lake. They have a great selection in the meats/​deli counter as well as a nice variety of homemade delicious treats — Which I believe are made daily. The friendly staff really sets it apart from the big box grocers.

My aunt and uncle have lived around the corner here for a couple of decades and it’s been their «corner store» forever. I always remember seeing the «spartan» carpet when you walk in the door :)
We always make sure to stop in when visiting from Chicago because it’s a convenient place to pick up a Sanders cake to take home!
