You ever go into the big stores and cannot find a single person to help ya? Or they have no idea what you are looking for? This place is packed to the rim with at least one item of everything. I love the small town feel. Takes you back to a bygone era when customer satisfaction meant something. Yes, they are going to be more $$ than the big stores. But you get what you pay for.

Ok I am not in anyway affiliated with this store, or friends or family. I just love this store and go there all the time. If you like small hardware old timey mom and pop places this is one of my favorites. Maybe not just for the hardware, but because in many ways its hub for our little town. If you want to meet people who know the whole history of anything that’s happened in Walkersville and it’s buildings then this is your place, if want to find the worlds most obscure little bolt, Louis(owner) is your go to. If you are repairing something from 50’s I’ve found the parts there. This little shop has been here in Walkersville through three generations of the same family. You get individual attention and get to meet a few locals. Whenever I go into Saylor’s it’s like a warm hug, as it’s honest and a genuine piece of American history with new stuff too, does life get any better? Community and tools and paints, this is what is all about.

Try to shop locally. But if a merchant doesn’t stand behind a product, and, instead the policy is, ‘You have an issue with the mfg and must contact them,’ then it’s back to Walmart and Lowe’s for all garden supplies this year.
