Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Rapids-North

We stayed for 7 nights. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good coffee. Room was nice. Beautiful patio off pool. Would recommend. WiFi worked great. Only complaint is the bed was very hard.

Clean, Friendly with big rooms and plenty of good breakfast foods. The pool was nice and clean too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Crap staff. Weird smells. Impatient maids. Why did we get rushed out on a Thursday morning? Pillows were small.

This place has become a home away from home for me. The company I work for has a plant close to here. The rooms are pretty nice, there are some good places to eat nearby, and the staff members are friendly and awesome. It is convenient to downtown and all the nightlife as well. On the weekends a shuttle runs from downtown to the hotel for a little scratch. They have recently started remodeling the rooms, and the newly remodeled rooms are really nice.

Very expensive, little or no amenities. They wanted to charge $ 10.00 for a fridge. It’s an «and Suites» so I would have expected a little understanding about travel comforts. Basic hotel room. I visit the area often and have done much, much better at other places. Fortunately just one night. Can’t wait to leave and never coming back.

I paid over $ 120 a night for my room and it felt very dated. The TV was about 20 years old and horribly fuzzy with no sleep timer. After a long drive I wanted to lay back and watch the football game but I could barely see what was happening on the TV.
The furniture in the room was old. The Office chair was badly stained and the desk was beat up. The binder with the channel line up and HBO info was badly faded and barely held together. For a place that costs over $ 100 for even the most basic of room clearly dose not put any of it back into maintaining the rooms.
House keeping was poor over all. The sheets where badly wrinkled on top of the bed and there was hair in the bathroom when we got there.
As a Army Family we travel often and this Holiday inn Express fell well short of what we expected.

Positive:

— Breakfast on the lower side of the Holiday Inn Express standard
— Old TV
— No Priority Club welcome, upgrade, etc.

We stayed here for beer fest. I was worried that things would get rowdy at night but it was pretty quiet. They even presented us with a low tolerance noise policy upon check in which was encouraging.
The service was very friendly and honest. The room was clean and nice.
The grand rapids hopper is a magical bus that will supposedly whisk you wherever your heart desires for $ 10. It picked us up from the hotel and took us to beer fest and that was the last we saw of it – hella confusing and not really available – wouldn’t recommend.
Hi express gets 4 stars because it was awesome but I just can’t give a holiday inn 5 stars, plus the hopper thing plus the sheets were kinda dryer sheet-​y. Plus its in the middle of nowhere. If we ever drag our asses out to winter beer fest again we will try to stay downtown because that’s more fun but if its booked this one is superb!

Basic, spacious clean room. Close to downtown. Was here for Michigan Beerfest 2011 and had a great time. Breakfast was ok nothing to rave about, had hot and cold selections. Would recommend if staying in grand rapids for a short time.

Basic Holiday Inn Express. Everything was clean and comfortable. Pool area was nice if a little on the over-​chemicalled side. The staff is very friendly and helpful which was worth an extra star in my book.

staying here only becuase i took a chance with hotwire. i was hoping for someplace downtown, but ended up here… in no mans land. there is nothing within a half mile or so from here.
decent i guess, but i really hate plastic cups.
