Live Well Pediatrics Mission Statement
As a parent, you know that nothing is more important than the health and well-being of your child. The staff at Live Well Pediatrics feels the same way. As no two children are alike, our pediatric practice offers a personalized approach that focuses on the unique health care needs of each patient. At Live Well Pediatrics our goal is to establish a trusting bond between a child’s family and the pediatric primary care team who oversees the child’s health and well-being within a community-based setting. Uninterrupted developmental, preventative, and acute and chronic sick care are provided from birth through transition to adulthood. A medical home is like an old-style family doctor’s office, but with a whole team of professionals. Dr Melissa Segal who has been working for Dr. Stacey Hechy recently purchased the practice from Dr. Hecht. Dr. Hecht is staying on and will be an integral part of the practice.

Business Owner
Dr. Segal has been caring for the children of Live Well Pediatrics (formerly known as Dr. Stacey M. Hecht, P.A.) since 2001. She is a graduate of Barnard College and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. After she completed a residency in General Pediatrics in California, she returned to the East Coast to practice primary care pediatrics. She worked for a small group in Teaneck, NJ for two years before joining Dr. Stacey M. Hecht in Waldwick, NJ. Dr. Segal also has served as the school physician for the Ramsey School District for the past 12 years. Her areas of special interest include early childhood development and the care of premature infants. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she now lives with her husband and two sons in Rockland County, NY. Dr. Segal’s interests include: Gardening, Theater, Skiing and Travel.
