History

Established in 2015.

There isn’t a place in the world where pizza is more ingrained in the culture than Naples. It is, after all, where pizza was born. That includes firing your pizza in a wood-​burning oven to a blistering 800 degrees. Pizzeria Formaggio utilizes the same centuries-​old techniques that Neapolitan masters use to create a truly authentic pizza. The world’s finest San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and top-​secret dough form the foundation of the pizza, but the true craft is in mastering the wood fired oven.

Best pizza in Wakefield! The chicken cutlet pizza and meatball pizza are outstanding! The Mon-​Thurs dinner for two is such a great value. The food is extremely fresh and nothing frozen is used. Ron (owner) listens to his customers and really looks to please. His specials are a good deal so make sure to check those out.

This has quickly become our favorite pizza place in Wakefield! We are really picky, and we bounce around take out places a lot throughout the town and we LOVE Pizzeria Formaggio. My favorite is the pizza (any kind), my sister is obsessed with their chicken cutlets, and my brother in law loves their steak and cheese. They use really fresh sub rolls which I think is more rare in your typical pizza/​sub shop. All of their ingredients are really fresh, they always have specials going on and the owners are really sweet. Next I want to try one of their pasta dishes :)

I ordered delivery from here, my Italian sub was awesome, pizza was definitely good. Only problem was the pizza must have fallen or something because half of it was scrunched up. Whatever it’s good pizza I’ll order again. Definitely want to try their Italian entrees.

OMG! have been staying at the Four Points in Wakefield for the last 4 days and have orderd from Pizzeria Formaggio twice. I ordered pizza both times and wings the second order and all I can say is WOW! I am from Seattle and have tasted some really great pizza up and down the west coast but this is by far the BEST pizza I have ever had. QUALITY INGREDIENTS! Also, I ordered delivery and they were at my door within 20 minutes. I am so not looking forward to going home. I dont think I can eat any pizza out there again. I am soooo spoiled!

Finally!
We have found our favorite pizza place in the Wakefield area! Great pizza, homemade sauce, open Sundays, salad with fresh greens instead of iceberg lettuce, high quality ingredients. We’ve never quite loved another pizza place in the area, and this was such a pleasant discovery. Prompt delivery, overall great experience!

We work a few stores down, and we love their pizza. So we decided to order lunch and try something different on the menu I got the Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken on it, well done and my coworker got the eggplant parmesan sub. where we enjoyed our lunch we just have a little complaint. The portions are very small. The food is tasty but we would be even more satisfied if we were a little fuller. The sandwich was supposed to be on ciabatta instead it was a regular sub roll that tasted a little stale. I would have liked a little pita bread or ciabatta bread with my salad and maybe my salad box a little more. Although it was very appealing to look at it was tasty. I’d recommend getting better fresher quality breads.

Yum — great spinach walnut strawberry salad! This location has changed hands a number of times over the years, and I must say that this is the best incarnation yet. Fresh menu, clean, bright space with 3 tables, and courteous service. Plus the prices are reasonable.

Really great pizza and subs. The soft bread they use for the subs is unbelievable. So far have had the chicken parm, steak, porchetta and meatball subs. Only one I didn’t think was phenomenal was the meatball and that was only because they were a tad over-​seasoned for my liking. Everything appears fresh made and high quality.
Even the coconut shrimp is really good.
Really can’t go wrong with this new, neighborhood gem.
Would be nice if they expanded their salad options but that is about it.
