If you are someone who is overweight and medical supervision is important this is WELLWORTH the money. BUTCONSUMERBEWARE! Be mindful and ask questions from the second you walk in the door! Like: Can you get your money back if you stop at week 4? or anytime before your pre-paid 12 week program? – the answer is no. What EXACTLY is included in the cost of the program? $ 300 for initial which covers MEDICAL(EKG/CHOLESTEROL SCREENETC) — $ 600FORTHE12WEEKS – WHATYOUGETFORTHE12WEEKS?? — I received 1 month of vitamins for free — -when they run out YOUPAY – PRESCRIBED appetite suppressant which YOUPAY FOR-at a discount at your pharmacy(approx $ 5 – 6 per week) YOUGET – 12 weeks of B12 injections – THATYOUCANGET2XPERWEEK – because YOU paid for them in the $ 600 cost. — -SHAKES ANDSNACKSAREANADDITIONALCOST — the METABOLISMTEST when you get to wellness phase – YOUPAY $ 125 — — then they are always asking do you need products?(every time you go in) — -or if you want extra injections B1/B6 — -for an extra cost!!! about $ 150 for 10 injections!!! INYOUR approx. $ 50 – 70 per week plan you also get Nutritional guidance — which at best is them pulling pre printed sheets off the wall and sending you on your way! you also get a urine test when you weight in and blood pressure check. IFYOUDON’T ASK ?? ABOUTTHENUTRITIONALBREAKDOWN –they will not tell you. Im sorry but if something costs this much and YOUARELOOKINGFOR A LIFESTYLECHANGEFOREVER — they need to do a better job, than handing out preprinted sheets — -then if you don’t loose as much weight as you may have the week before(while paying $ 50 – 60 per week) I WANTTOKNOWWHYANDWHAT I CANTRYTOMAKEITBETTER — you will not know unless you ask and even when you ask your answer – «it happens” — really???I knew that already I was hoping for a better answer. — – AS A CONSUMER I SHOULDHAVEBEENMOREAWARE – ESPECIALLYBECAUSETHEREISNOGUARANTEE — -So in a nut shell your on prescription appetite pill, B12 injections – possible B6/B1 injections(if you choose) on a 500‑1000 calorie diet, your hardly eating veggies, very little to no dairy, all meat/fish, and no grains, your taking vitamins, fat burners, and fiber to flush you, you need to drink a minimum of 100 oz of water because of all the supplements and shakes(flush you out). In the first week you are only eating meat to get your body into ketosis-MY URINENEVERSHOWED ketosis because I have been on a low carb diet for over a year(because I have celiac disease and other GI issues). I am four weeks into the program and I have lost 9 pounds(4 of the pounds of fat(which their scale reveals to you) — and I work out for 30 minutes 5 days per week and I am only doing B12 injections. There is no scientific evidence that B6/B1 injections will burn fat – this is progress but not WHATTHEYADVERTISE. I UNFORTUNATELY didn’t get the big weightloss(10 lbs the first week) that most see because I have not been eating things like sugar, carbs(pizza, fries, bread etc) – Start weight 190 for my 5’2 frame-I am considered 60 pounds over weight(so there is weight to be lost!!) for myself I regret spending the money because I know I could have lost the weight on my own like I did a few years ago. I was really hoping this was different and that the injections and supplements would help. I am holding myself accountable because of the money I already spent on medi weightloss(and there is no refund for the weeks if I stop) and the weigh ins help. I should have just read my book again(MIRACLEMETABOLISM) – REDUCEDMYFATINTAKE – JOINED weight watchers and I would have lost the same amount — -and I could have used the money towards something else(like lipo!!!)— wellness phase happens when you reach you goal weight –my goal weight – which will not happen in 12 weeks – so they will probably try to get me to join for more weeks. Currently I have to stay 75%protein, 5% carb, 20% fat. – I would guess at wellness phase it would turn to 60%protein 20% carb 20% fat to maintain. We all know that any quick weight loss may turn out to more weight gain later on. Slow and steady is the way to do it. For me though I don’t want to pay $ 1,000 and slow and steady are my results when I can do slow and steady on my own. If you are the type of person that can’t do it on your own then this is probably worth the money. —also if you bruise you may want to skip the injections. B6/B1 go into the buttocks and B12 in your arms. I am writing this review because CONSUMERS should have this information given to them before they start the program and I feel that a lot of the reviews are positive for medi-weightloss because it is a great program for someone who needs the medical supervision — even then I would only go by what your own doctor recommends — I have only met nurse practitioners and not a doctor. I believe in low carb for weight loss and better health & new research shows its importance.

A pricey program, yet it works if you stick to it. Hi Protein, low carb with supplements. The staff in Wakefield are professional and friendly. Again however, get ready to open your wallet, yet it is what it is.
