Established in 2007.
In 1805 this region of Wake County, NC was designated as the Forest District, largely for the widespread forest in the area north of the Neuse River, comprised largely of hardwoods along with softwoods including longleaf pine. This woodsy environment became aptly named Wake Forest. Nearly 200 years later, The Hasentree Club was built around the land. Opening in October of 2007, Fazio’s design at Hasentree was his 17th in his home state of North Carolina and first in Wake County.
The Tom Fazio designed Golf Course was developed around the rolling hills of northern Wake County. Bordered by a variety of native grasses and annual fescues, this meandering links-style design is generous off the tee, but requires a golfer’s utmost attention when hitting their approach shot.
