Sweet and Simple Cake Company

I wanted a cool looking Tinkerbell birthday cake for my daughter, so I thought I’d give this new business a chance. Let me just say that this started off very well. Tanya was very friendly and gave me very reasonable rates for the cake that I wanted. I was almost excited to see the finished product. When I thought about just making my own cake instead of using her, she was very supportive and even encouraged me to do it myself!
It was set months ago. I emailed her the picture of my cake design, confirmed flavors and details. I received an email from Tanya two days before the day of the birthday party asking if I still needed this cake and for the pictures since she could not find them. I emailed them to her again and asked for info as to where to meet her to pick up the cake.
No joke! At 8:04 PM, the night before my daughter’s birthday party, she emails me and says she doesn’t feel well and can’t make my cake. She also apologized for the late notice. WHERE THE HELL WAS I GONNA FIND A TINKERBELL CAKE AT 8 PM??? If the tables were turned, and I was sick… I would have called any of my pastry chef buddies and asked them to make this cake as a favor. Let’s just say Tanya had no pastry friends, then in my opinion, she should’ve tried to at least order me one in time. Call Safeways, or Baskin Robbins… anybody…and say. hey do you think make a Tinkerbell cake by 11:30AM the next day. Instead, Tanya left me hanging out to dry!
I’m in the car… headed for the airport to pick up my parents so they could join the party. Instead of being excited, I’m furious because I’m the one who has to now find an alternative because Tanya put me in this predicament. As a new business owner, you really ought to put your best foot forward no matter what. Now I didn’t expect her to make my cake in between her coughing, or throwing up or whatever her deal was… but I did expect her to make things right. As mentioned before, she should’ve tried her hardest to book another cake or given me a discount on another cake in the future.something. I got nothing but a poorly written email with misspelled words!

Brand new business with awesome cakes! I tried the red velvet cake which was delicious and moist. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend you use for your next party.
