Waipahu Civic Center is located right next to the Waipahu Public Library and within walking distance to the Waipahu Transit Center. In this building there are many offices as well as couple conference rooms located on the third floor. Individuals may use the elevators or take the steps near the front entrance or back entrance to get to the designated office or conference room. I know this building has the Unemployment Office as well. The public restrooms are located on the first floor. There is a vending machine on the ground level for individuals who are thirsty. The few times that I do show up at the Waipahu Civic Center is when my company, operators of convenience stores and gas stations, holds classes on Tobacco and Alcohol Management as well as Safety Training. During this paid 4 hour class employees of the company learn the proper ways of 1) asking an individual’s age: to determine if the customer is part of a tobacco or alcohol sting, 2) asking for a proper legal form of identification: making sure that the photo ID’s match the person and that the ID is not expired or altered, 3) proper procedures in case of theft: getting all the details of suspect and the items suspect took plus reporting the theft to the police, 4) proper way of lifting heavy objects, and 5) in case of a gas spillage or fire on the premises what steps need to take in order to prevent any hazard around the community. For individuals who have vehicles… there are metered parking stalls on the side of the building as well as free parking stalls in the back of the building. Good luck in finding available parking space at Waipahu Civic Center.

I came here a few times to do some business at the unemployment office there. The building is right next to the Waipahu Public Library so you can get many things done around that area. To me I feel like the building needs some renovation because it is hecka ghetto looking. The color and structure of the building looks just super old. There is parking surrounding and behind the building. There is also parking towards the front but it’s metered so you’ll have to pay during the day time. The building has about 3 or 4 floors containing different offices. The only office that I am aware of is the unemployment one because that’s pretty much the only business that I did in that building so far. The unemployment office is Oahu Work links room 300. Usually, there is a long wait to file your claims process started. There are computers for you to use just in case you didn’t start online. You have to pull a number and everything. It’s better if you get there early in the morning or just before closing or maybe lunch time but anytime you go there is going to most likely be a wait. Unilocal 365 Challenge #262/365

I come here mainly to take my TB testing which is required for my job. The testing is done in room 101, and is given on Mondays between the hours of 2pm-4pm. You will need to return to have your skin test read on Wednesday between the hours of 2pm-4pm. On Monday when you go to take the test, go straight to the table, grab a form and a number. I recommend you go early because it gets very crowded! I usually try and be there by 115 – 120. Same on Wednesday, except you only grab a number. The ladies say to just grab one number per family. The process is very fast! Especially if they have 3 workers giving the shots.
