The UPS Store

Five Stars for Ermalyn at the Ka Uka Blvd UPS Store who helped me with finding my package. I know it was probably buried under some other packages. I know this took some time and effort to do. I just want to thank you for your help. :0)

The staff here has always been very helpful when I’ve needed to ship things, be it Amazon returns, USPS drop offs, or even having some items packed and shipped!
Located in the same shopping plaza as Fatboys and Starbucks the parking situation can be a little frustrating and you may have to take a few laps before finding a stall.
In the past I’ve even had to send my xbox in for service and the staff has been able to get my things packed and shipped in a few minutes. USPS drop offs are a nice option as well for eBay sales when I can’t make it to the post office. Besides food I think my money goes to Amazon and eBay so Th UPS store has become like a second home… Uh oh lol.

I come to this location often and always receive great customer service. I am happy to be able to send usps and they provide the usps packaging for it, so I can use priority mail. The prices for USPS I find to be cheaper than UPS services for some reason. It’s never busy enough to have to wait more than a few minutes. It’s also conveniently located next to restaurants and usually there is at least a few parking spots open so you don’t have to loop around to find one. They also do notary services as with most other UPS locations.

Highly annoyed that a UPS branded store does not carry UPS Ground packaging. Are they for real?

Had one of my packages rerouted to be picked up at this UPS location. My dog finds pleasure in ripping open boxes and ruining your newly ordered items, so I decided to play it safe and have my packaged delivered here instead.
I kept a close eye on the tracking of my package. Maybe 5 minutes after I got an email alerting me that it had been delivered, Karen, from UPS Waipio called to let me know my package had arrived and was ready to pick up.
Since I live 5 minutes away, I was able to stop by before my doctor’s appointment to pick up my package. Jo Elizabeth helped me with the process. She verified with my ID, had me sign off, and even brought out a dolly to help me bring the package to my car.
The whole process was done with ease and I felt that the workers enjoyed helping their customers. If you have a UPS package being delivered, make a UPS account online and have your package dropped off here (especially if your dog has a personal vendetta against packages being dropped off). This will save you the headache and make sure your purchases are kept in a safe place.
You can’t believe the number of times I worry my packages will be laid out for the temptation to steal or for my dog to shred. Take the chance and send it here, the workers are efficient and very helpful.

UPS delivered an important time-​sensitive package late, and refused to take ownership of their error. They were supposed to ship it overnight to Washington DC, but instead they could only do 2^nd day delivery. The UPS website clearly states that overnight delivery was indeed available, and when I contacted UPS customer service they stated that indeed it was available. However, the store maintains it is impossible. They blamed the UPS main headquarters. But when I contacted the main hub, they said it was the fault of the store. I informed the store about what the UPS main hub said, but they maintain that it was the main hub’s fault. Everyone in UPS acknowledged someone in UPS screwed up, but no one was willing to take ownership for it or fix the problem. The package was a job application, and it was received by the prospective employer late due to the error. I called and politely asked this store if they would be willing to write the prospective employer to explain the situation, but they refused, again stating that it was the fault of the UPS main hub. They then rudely hung up on me, even though I believe I’ve treated them pretty nicely throughout this ordeal. I sympathize with the store, since it does seem like it was the fault of the main hub. However, the service I received at this location was very poor. Instead of helping solve the problem, they flatly denied any responsibility and hung up on my phone call. I usually don’t write reviews, even when I received poor service, but this was a nightmare. Sad to say I will no longer use UPS for anything, nor can I recommend it to anyone.

Very poor customer service!!! I have brought UPS my business (over $ 5,000 worth of UPS shipping costs) over the past few years and it’s just gotten worst! The girl, (Karen) asks me for my phone # three times in a 60 second period. I say, «Didn’t you get it the other two times I said it? Why don’t you just look up my profile it should be there in your computers.» Karen says, «Why are you giving me a hard time. You can go somewhere else if you don’t want to repeat your phone # for me.» WHAT!!! I couldn’t believe my ears! She doesn’t want my business? There definitely other places I can go… and I will. Hawaii has many alternatives like USPS, FEDEX, Anderson News, etc.

IF the hours were a little more flexible and prices a little lower, this place is GUARANTEED five stars.
I’m a regular here as I have had a mailbox for over a year now and I LOVE it. The privacy is amazing and when you lose your key, the staff is so helpful. It’s so IN and OUT: perfect for those on the go. I always find parking but it can get packed depending when you go and I know thats a huge negative for a lot of people.
There is a bathroom, just ask the front for the code and it’s next to the stairs.
The prices are reasonable for a mailbox AND you get what looks like a real address! Score! I think I pay about $ 100 every 6 months or so. I’ll update on that later. The service is impeccable. Really professional, friendly and fast! I actually like looking forward to checking my mail! Sending mail is easy too. Something small and simple is about .64 cents. And if you sign up for a mailbox, big packages that arrive … you are notified by email. How awesome is that

Call it great timing or one of the island’s best-​kept secrets, but I usually have zero waiting time when taking parcels in for shipment at UPS in Waipio. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the manager is super helpful and always willing to go out of his way to making sure his customers leave with a pleasant experience. And they offer a 10% military discount! As a point of reference, UPS is located near Fat Boy’s.

They got good service, always kind of busy, and the parking is sometimes a little difficult, but it is a place.

Waste of time, the girl in the front is pleasant, but not useful. Told me notary is there til 2, I show up the next day, she is there again, tells me only MWF. Couldn’t have told me that the first time.

So there is this wine inspired shadow box I made for my best friend sitting in the corner of my room… basically yelling at me for 3 weeks to send it. Well I was way too lazy to pack it and I was going in the general direction of the UPS store so that shadow box was finally going to be shipped off to my best friend in California!
I walked in said I need to ship this.
He weighed it, measured it.
Asked my address, used my drivers license.
Copied her address off my Iphone.
Told me the price.
I said Ok.
Paid.
Out.
Easy Peesy.

I took my package from amazon to the ups store. I was told to call a number. The number I called was much more helpful than the attendant. Plain and simple, bad customer service.

only place to deposit into your USAA account if away from home!

I sold my car exhaust online and was in over my head. I had no idea what how I would do it. When I took it to the post office, they could not help me at all and had no boxes remotely the size. They told me to try take it to fedex or ups. So i went to the closest one. Luckily these guys knew what they were doing. They custom made a box to fit everything in, bubble wrapped it and even came with insurnace. It was a bit more than I had anticipated for shipping, but the fact that it was going out saved me from the jam.

The good:
Clean, can mail letters, rent a mail box, get packaging materials, send a package, use their Notary Public services. Conveniently located adjacent to the Waipio Costco, over by Panda Express.
The bad:
Customer service, pitiful. From the articles hanging on the wall at the register, it looks like the place is owned by a husband and wife team, and the husband looks like he serves/​served in the military and fought in Iraq. An American hero, and I like American heroes. I also like great customer service, so I’m rooting for this team… if we can just get the wife to smile, greet the customer, make a little small talk, thank the customer, and genuinely appreciate the fact that we spent money at their establishment. All would be right in the world.

Update on my missing Fed Ex package:
My husband explained to the manager for the 4^th time that my package was missing and she kept insisting that she already gave it to us (story changes after awhile, doesn’t it?). Well, my husband decided to CHECK THE BACK himself, and lo-​and-​behold, my package was there with the wrong box number written on it.
This package was for my home business and I lost a lot of money by not getting it on time. Of course, there was no offer to even pay for my shipping or even an admission that it was their fault.
These are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with.

I need to send my nanas precious china as she was moving to the mainland and wanted them to arrive in one piece. The movers didn’t want to guarantee anything with the china so I called up UPS store to see if they would help. Yvonne was so helpful on the phone, she gave me an estimate and ensured she would pack it personally and that it would be well taken care of. I brought down my 8 boxes of china, about 120 pieces total. I finally met Yvonne and she was so friendly and helpful. She hand wrapped each piece individually and made custom boxes for everything! My nana was so happy when she found not a single crack on her china!

Boy, am I stupid. Yes, I’m the same TerryO that wrote the previous review. My wife was in Costco, and I needed to send some documents overnight, so I decided to save some time and go back to the UPS Store across the Costco parking lot. WRONG MOVE!
The clerk that was «helping» me was named Jo-​Elizabeth. I think she is so clueless, she can’t figure out what her real name is. She talked on the phone, talking to «aunty» at Costco, ordering hotdogs for herself and her staff. «I like da dakine soda… half fruit punch, half raspberry tea. Yeah, you know, da kine raspberry tea! No forget aunty And I like dakine brown mustard on top, not dakine yellow-​kine mustard!»
In the meantime, I’m standing there waiting for her to help me, while the idiot young kid next to her did nothing to assist. FIVE MINUTES passed while she tried to get her hotdog order straight.
If I ever go there again, someone please shoot me, as I deserve it.
