RM Express Shuttle

We booked our trip in from HNL to Waikiki on Living Social. Rey gave us a call when he was inbound and after a little confusion on our part we found him and got our ride into Hilton Hawiian Village without any drama. We called him a couple of days before our departure and booked our return and he was early to pick us up and called when he got there, eliminating any angst over wondering if he would be on time.
This is a great, cheap way to get a ride into Honolulu or Waikiki… more like getting a ride from a friend than a Speedishuttle and without the drama and upcharges you get from Über in this area.

Rey is such a nice guy but a little busy. He’s a one-​man shop, trying to juggle a lot of travelers on his own so sometimes he was hard to get a hold of. Many times I had to leave multiple messages on his cell. If you give him enough notice, and confirm your reservations the day before and the day of, you should be okay. As I said, Rey is really nice, just really short-​staffed.
ON a sidenote, I used another shuttle (VIP Trans) to take me to the swap meet and they LEFT ME STRANDED!!! Never picked me up. Had to find my own way home. So if you ask me, all the shuttle companies in Hawaii are sketchy.

This company steals (cockroaches) from other shuttle companies claiming to be the company the customers originally booked with. When in fact they have no relationship with other companies. They stole GO808Express customers who had a round trip reservations and the customer cancelled the reservation going back to the airport because of «very poor service.» You can steal other shuttle companies customers all u need to but please don“t use our name: GO808Express! You have a lot to learn about genuine customer service and honesty. Good luck to your company. You will need it.

We caught RM Express Shuttle this morning from HNL airport to Kahala. He honored the $ 10 per person voucher price and it was a very pleasant experience. He had a large, comfortable Shuttle Van and it was great to ride in air-​conditioned comfort. I was apprehensive about using them after reading the negative reviews but we were very happy with Rey’s service! We will definitely use them again for our next trip! Thank you Rey for taking us home from the airport!

This was a complete waste of my time and money. I had quite a bit of trouble getting in touch to arrange my transport (despite following the directions on the webpage) I attempted to contact via phone listed on the webpage, it was a disconnected #. I was finally able to find an alternate contact # the day before my trip. I was told to text my arrival information to him, which I did. When I arrived, I called the number given and he seemed shocked to hear he had a pick up. He told me he’d be there in 30min. 2 hours later, he finally showed up. Then he wanted to go into the other terminal to drum up business. Not to pick up another reservation. 2.5 hours after arrival at the airport, I finally got to head into town. I had purchased a round trip voucher. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt for the rtn transfer. I texted the night before, like he asked. He said he’d be there at 6am. At 6:10 I called him. He said he was stuck on the freeway and had no idea when he would arrive. I told him I would take the bus. He then texted me to tell me he had a flat tire. Even if this was the case, proper business methods would be for him to call me to let me know, so I could arrange alternate methods to get to the airport to catch a flight.

Bottom Line Up Front: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
THEY WOULD HAVE LEFT THEIR CUSTOMER STRANDED WITH NO ADVANCE WARNING.
I found a deal on LivingSocial for this service and purchased it as a gift for a friend who was leaving Honolulu. She receives the gift, follows the instructions, and texts them with the pick up information and time. As she didn’t receive a confirmation text she calls and they say they received the other information and to text her name so they have it all. She does as they request and all is well in the world… until she’s packed and waiting for them outside at her confirmed appointment time of noon.
12:05 she texts them saying she’s outside waiting. No response.
12:15 she calls and gets voicemail. She hangs up and calls again and gets an RM Shuttle representative.
Friend: I’m waiting for my pick up.
RM Shuttle: What was that again?
Friend: (Repeats the information she texted yesterday) and I’m waiting for my pick up.
RM Shuttle: Ohhhhh. I’m at the airport.
Friend: You’re supposed to pick me up at 12.
RM Shuttle: I only have one van and I’m waiting at the airport.
Friend: Send the van to pick me up as I have a flight to make and the people at the airport can wait.
RM Shuttle: Can’t you take a taxi?
Friend: I ORDERED YOUR SERVICES FOR TODAY. YOU CONFIRMED. Are you telling me to take a taxi because you’re going to pay for one?
RM Shuttle: Noooo.
Friend: I have a LivingSocial coupon and you confirmed pick up, that’s why I’m using you today.
RM Shuttle: You can get a refund from LivingSocial.
Friend: I DON’T WANT A REFUND I WANT YOU TO COME AND GET ME.
RM Shuttle: You’re only 10 minutes away.
Friend: Yes. I’m only 10 minutes away so send the van now. Your arriving passengers can wait because I’m only 10 minutes away.
RM Shuttle: What time is your flight?
Friend: 3pm.
RM Shuttle: Oh I can come at 1:30pm. You have plenty of time.
Friend: I don’t have plenty of time! I will miss my flight and I don’t want to be running for the plane, That’s why I ordered you three hours early!
RM Shuttle: I’ll call you back.
Friend: Right away, you’re going to call me back right away right?
RM Shuttle: Yes.
By now it’s 12:20.
My friend waits until 12:30. Calls Charley’s Taxi ($ 29 from Waikiki or Honolulu to the Airport and no crap like this). Sends RM Shuttle an email which states: «I’m sending you my taxi bill for not showing up. And I’m filing a complaint with the business bureaus.»
Lo and behold, she receives a call from RM Shuttle saying they’re coming right away.
10 minutes later she calls and asks them where they are. They say they’re on their way but are stuck in traffic.
They finally show up.
RM Shuttle: Sorry yeah.
Friend: How can you just leave me stranded? If you had called to say you couldn’t have taken me I would have accepted a ride from friends who offered.
RM Shuttle: *silence*
What was even better yet was that my friend was looking out the window of the van on the way to the airport and there was no traffic coming or going.
And at the airport, the driver still expected a tip.
So after all this my friend hikes it through check in, TSA, and gets to the gate with 15 minutes to spare. If she listened to him and let him pick her up at 1:30 like he suggested she would have completely missed her flight.
Don’t do it. just… don’t.

update: although absolutely no response from them, they DID show up (called us around the time we got our luggage), we were informed by our shuttle driver (different company) that these guys are known to do that, that is, come if they are available.

I have been an avid Unilocal — user for years but have never written a review… until today. I understand that taxi drivers have 10’s of customers daily and work long hard hours driving taxi’s, and are bound to make a mistake once in a while. And though it may not be very important to them if they forget a customer or two a week, it is EXTREMELY important to the customers that their taxi drivers are prompt and reliable. REY DIDN’T EVEN SHOW UP!!! I called and text him multiple times, waited for half and hour, then rushed out to drive to the airport myself, hoping and praying to make my flight. When he finally answered my phone call, after my 6^th attempt at calling and 3^rd at texting, he told me that he didn’t remember having me on his schedule, and couldn’t recall talking to me yesterday or texting me a confirmation either! Needless to say, I’m livid, huffing and puffing, as I barely made my flight, and vow to let as many people know as possible, to NOT use REY’S RM EXPRESS SHUTTLE if you want reliable service to make your flight at the airport! He should get negative stars :(

They make a mistake posting 10 dollars from airport to Kaimuki. Now they did honor .they are lose. never try their offer .lose …please be aware minus… loser

I bought a livingsocial deal for this shuttle from the airport to Waikiki. I followed their instructions to email them with their email template to make a reservation. I didn’t get a response to the email. Sent another email. No response. They also gave specific instructions to call or text when you land and when you are at the curb. Did that. No response. No shuttle. I called and got voice mail. ZERO stars! I had to give one star just to post the review.

I tried to use this company twice. Neither time was successful. The first was unsuccessful because of the reservation process and the second because the company cancelled within an hour of my pick up time — I ended up with a regular taxi to make my flight. departure.

I hope this is just my experience and no one will share this.
I went to their website and made a round-​trip reservation online 2 days before. At that time, there was no way for me to enter my address; the online form only asked for date and time. However, I immediately received a confirmation email and a phone call. He asked me for my address over the phone. Then I received another email confirming my reservation WITH the address. I thought — what a great and speedy service.
The day of my trip to the airport. I had an early departure time so my scheduled pick up was 6:30 in the morning on a Sunday! When he did not show up at 6:35am, I called. He asked me where I am. I said I am in front of my apartment. He said he will be therein 10 minutes. In 10 minutes, he called and asked me where I am. He said he was at the airport!!! I needed to go to the airport, not to be picked up from the airport!!! Needless to say I was panic thinking I might not be able to make my flight.
On my way back, I received an email confirming my return shuttle service. I ignored it and nothing happened anyway — meaning, nobody was at the airport waiting to pick me up as I did not receive any call, text, or anything. I got a friend to pick me up this time.
I am amazed at this experience. I did receive «confirmations» but they did not seem to mean anything.
I am very sorry to have to report my experience here. If there is a way to give a zero star, I will.

Fast, friendly, and affordable airport shuttle service! I called when my flight arrived at the gate and Rey was there waiting for me outside of baggage claim right away. I was the only one in the shuttle from the airport to my hotel (The Modern Honolulu). I booked a living social deal for $ 20 round trip to and from the airport when I check out!

I paid only $ 10 for a one-​way trip to the airport. I was able to schedule the shuttle the day before and had absolutely no issues. I happened to be the only passenger, but they were nice enough not to cancel or postpone the shuttle! Very friendly, and quick.

Just witnessed a driver throw trash out of his window. When I asked him if he was going to pick it up, he asked if I was the janitor of the parking lot.
