History
Established in 2010.
My husband and I started this business in May 2010. The name Pas De Deux means Dance for Two in French. Our studio is about collaboration, fostering positive student teacher relationships and a passion for the arts. We do our best absolute best to inform parents of upcoming performance opportunities and rehearsal schedules. We take pride in creating a sense of Ohana at PDD, where mutual trust and respect is vital in creating a safe and progressive learning environment for our future artists. I’m also proud of our established faculty who I have hand picked to lead our young students towards their fullest potential. More information on us can be found on our website.
Meet the Business Owner
Wendy G.
Business Owner
Wendy was born and raised in Oahu, and graduated from Mililani High School 1995.
She started dance training at the age of 4 by taking ballet at The Ballet School in Walnut Creek, California under the direction of Laureen Fender and continued under the direction of John Landowski at Hawaii State Ballet. A few years later she added to her repertoire by studying Contemporary Jazz under Pam Sandridge at Big City Productions. By the age of 16, Calio was an accomplished actress, vocalist and dance performer. After the release of her first song, Calio started teaching dance at a local community center in Mililani, HI and made headlines for leading over 150 dancers in annual productions at Leeward Community College Theatre and Mamiya Theatre. Using the name under which she released her single, she opened her own business, Sabrina Starr Studios, and within a short amount of time made a name for herself as one of Hawaii’s Première dance instructors.
