Prices have increased and I find it hard to find a good deal. Especially on books. And the super big and sticky price tags should not be used on paper and painted items. These bothered me but what really ticked me off today is that they were going to charge me more on a dvd set because it had more in it. There was a sticker with the price they should charge me. Not my fault if they priced it wrong!

On Monday, October 12, 2015 I was shopping for Halloween items when I was shocked to find a live tick bug on a backpack that I picked off the racks. I’m saddened that getting a bargain comes at the cost of sanitation. Make sure you double check the items you’re purchasing so you’re not buying a bug infested item.

Anytime I’m looking for for something specific (clothes for work, cook ware, decorations, purse or shoes) I always find it. Everything is priced fairly and in great condition. I love that there is a variety of tons of things. The customer service is good as well. Sometimes there is only one cashier but the line moves quickly. Clean store and parking is never a problem. Will shop again!

I only come by here to donate slightly used or if not new items. It’s pretty easy to drop off. I never had any problems with the staff. I would highly recommend this place as a location to drop off your donations.
They do provide receipts if needed.

I’m writing this review as a concerned customer. I enjoy bargain shopping and have come here several times before. I have found some great treasures here with deals that can’t be beat. But aside from what this location carries, I’m more concerned with the customer service (or lack thereof) they provide.
Look, I get that working at a place like Goodwill may not be the most glamorous job in the world, but from what I’ve learned in my years in retail is that everyone that walks through your door is a paying customer. I have never seen an employee yell at a customer (it’s usually the other way around lol). I was trying on a few clothing items in the dressing room one day and obviously locked the door once I was inside. I was just about done putting my regular clothes back on when I heard the door knob start to shake violently, and since they didn’t knock I was startled and kinda scared and was about to say something when the door opened half-​way and it was a Goodwill employee and a male customer standing right behind her. I pulled the door shut and that’s when the employee started yelling at me. How was I supposed to know that the way this person had been violently pulling at my dressing room door was an employee?! It could’ve been a rapist for all I know. I mean, wouldn’t a good employee knock on the door of the dressing room first? Say something like «Hello, anyone in there?» I mean c’mon! This female employee made a whole scene in front of the rest of the customers in the store by yelling. Totally unprofessional. Usually the employees I come across here don’t say anything to customers and just keep to themselves.
I’m a very understanding person and I know we all have bad days at work. But that doesn’t give you the right to verbally abuse your customers. After writing this I’m contacting the manager and filing a complaint. I don’t feel like this employee should be working around people if she wants to continue acting unprofessionally. I can’t give this store 0 stars so I’ll throw in 1 for the good variety of items they sometimes carry.

My husband and I recently discovered this Goodwill store and we are ABSOLUTELY in love with thrift shopping!
My Son loves this store. He likes to roam around and look at the toys and stuffed animals. The toys and stuffed animal section isn’t very organized, but hey it’s a thrift store and I imagine a lot of kids look through them. My Son loves getting the little plastic bags full of assorted figurines and toys, at $ 0.99 that is a steal for any mommy on a budget! I love getting stuffed animals to spread across our bed at home and those are $ 0.99 as well.
This is a very good place to find clothing. My husband found black Dickies pants and Billabong jeans. The price? $ 6.99 each! That beats spending $ 20+ on one pair any day.
My family and I frequently shop at this Goodwill and always find little treasures and great deals. The staff are always helpful and are very friendly.

Great deals offered at ALL Goodwill locations. Gotta spend da time to find the one glowing sunlight of a deal. Support those who use this to get their lives back on path, and in the process discover your own happiness within.

This was my first time going into goodwill so I didn’t know what to really expect, the toys didnt seem very good and the CDs seemed sketchy like they have a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of playing all the way through. I did like the book section though. The clothes were decent also.
I probably won’t be going back to buy anything but I guess I’ll go there to look and see what they have if I have time to burn one day.

Been going there since they’ve opened. Always enjoyed the great prices, great service, and if you’re lucky the great deals they got there. I’ve bought a brand new with tags and everything three piece suit for $ 8. Where else can you find great deals like that?! I know people complain a lot and feel awkward shopping in a thrift store, but why would you spend $ 25 — $ 30 on a shirt when you could buy one for $ 5? It might not be new but the first question people ask you isn’t «hey did you get that at goodwill?» or «how much did you pay for that shirt?»
The employees are always smiling and willing to help the customers. Sometimes they might even knock the price lower for you. It seems like a pretty cool /​chill job. I mean unless you’re a swaggot and don’t feel comfortable working there.
The customers are always unique and one of a kind. Funny, loud, old souls who tend to be different from this day and age. I like them.
I don’t have too much to complain about.

This place is ok. I’m glad I experienced it once so i know exactly how it is and what to expect if I go back. This place is pretty small and kind of cramped, and had nothing too great when I went there. They don’t carry much furniture at all (not a whole lot of room for it anyway). As an estimate I’d say this location is a third of the size of the pearl city location. From what I could tell the service was decent.

My bestie and I love thrifting. We try to go a few times a month to Goodwill or Saver stores. I’ve never been to this location, to be honest I never knew it existed, but she’s been telling me I have to try this place because it’s small and it has A. C! A Goodwill with A. C?! I’m in! We went in at about 430 PM today. There weren’t too many people here and there was a whole wall dedicated to tops and one to dresses. I was in heaven! Scored 2 cute dresses and 4 cute tops with brand names like Banana Republic, Forever 21, Papaya, and even American Rag! Who could go wrong?! I spent a mere $ 30 for these finds and needless to say I was a happy camper :) will be back soon!

Always find cool hip clothes here. Standard price range of tops or dresses between $ 4.99 ro $ 6.99. Last time I came here I purchased a gray Aeropostale brand vest and Fuschia Anne Taylor loft shift for $ 4.99 each! Time before that bought a vintage retro looking kimchi and blue? brand dress for $ 6.99. The store is neatly organized and you will find the usual household items, kitchen appliances, books, videos, board games, and clothing/​accessories. This store is easy to miss because its small however quality of second hand goods are always good!

Located in hot hot Waipahu, you can find it to be a little easier to park your vehicle around here because its away from the main store (Don Quijote).
I am a thrift store baby! Having 11 sisters and 4 brothers and being the 14^th of 16 children, I grew up mainly with secondhand clothing. I LOVE browsing around, looking for clothes that have that worn in, but not worn out kind of feel. I seriously see it as a treasure hunt.
However, this particular shop is not one of those places with that kind of feel to it. It really seems like this is where all the secondhand clothing that didn’t sell at the other stores gets sent to. It’s full of crap that no one really uses.
In many thrift stores comes dust but this place is mega dusty. Immediately, I started having sinus problems.
The staff gives you short answers and won’t even walk you to the area of what you’re looking for. They make it seem like we’re making it hard on them.
I know prices for everything is going to go up, but a thin shirt with frayed edges and no design costing $ 5.99 is ridiculous.
This store used to be good a few years ago. Now its really blah :(
You’re better off skipping this place and would have better times shopping at Salvation Army or the other Goodwills in Aiea and Town.

Five Jerry Maguire VHS tapes for $ 5. Sent them to some friends in Chicago (Everything is Terrible!). Biggest haul yet from a thrift store.

If you’re expecting a huge store like the Pearl City and Downtown location then you’ll be sadly disappointed. This location is rather small but never lets me down. Parking is never a problem, unless you’re of those people who want to park right in front of the store other than that not a problem. Getting here by bus is extremely easy as well! Just hop on the 42, A or E walk a little and you’re there! I usually go to this location when I stop over Don Quixote.
Even if this store is small they never disappoint, their racks and shelves are always filled with awesome finds. I’ve found a few awesome pieces here, including my stylish 100% silk red blazer that I scored for $ 6.99 and am in love with! The sizes are pretty organized and go where they belong.
They do have great specials. They have something new that I haven’t seen at the other Goodwill’s, $ 0.99 for a certain color tag on Monday’s and Thursday’s. Sometimes they also put out a rack of clothes that is all $ 0.99, I picked up a cardigan and a simple black dress. Then there’s always the usual 50% off a certain color.
My only complaint is the staff, they could be a little more friendly and smile once in awhile. Does it hurt to crack a smile?

I love this place. I don’t really care where I get my clothes and I can’t believe I didnt know about this place and the deals sooner. I’m a little afraid to share their weekly deals because I’m afraid that more people will go to this goodwill and take the good clothes :(But it’s all for a good cause so I guess *sigh*
I shop here twice a week because they have a special sale $ 0.99 for a certain color tag anything under $ 8.99. I love walking in here, walking out with 2 – 3 full bags of clothes for only $ 30 or less. Really, that’s 30 items of clothes, shoes, bags, hats etc. I love it. I started thrift shopping a month ago and now I am hooked.
The place is no near as huge as Aiea’s GW but their are few good things about this place.
Pros:
–They have AC
–The workers are super nice, they seem intimidating at times but really, they are the greatest!
–All fitting room has their own full length mirror.
–Nice enough that they put all the items on sale in the front, so less work for you.
–Place is pretty neat and organize.
–Great selection of women clothing.
A full wall of books.
–Big space of parking.
Cons:
–Not much of selection when it comes to shoes.
–Little men selection (I love guy’s big shirts, sadly, they only have 2 – 3 aisles for it)
–No bathroom.
BONUS: They are always having deals almost everyday!

What’s the smallest Goodwill you’ve ever been in? Me? This is it. It’s about the size of a small 3^rd grade classroom. Actually, my third grade classroom was a third the size, but we’re talking about your «average» third grade classroom. Then again I only had a class size of seven. Anyway, one thing about used stores is that you’ll never know what you’ll find. This one had some specific dowl-​type dvd racks that I had been looking for (and already purchased a few months ago). They were hard to find, but they were sitting right there by the entrance. Another thing I noticed is that they had quite a bit of military uniforms. Not old stuff, but the new digitized camouflage ones. $ 10 bucks. Never seen that in town, well at least for that price.
It’s tucked in a remote corner of the Waipahu Don Quijote’s (
) parking lot.
