Guys, you don’t understand how much I love andagi. One time when I bought a Ziploc baggie full worth at SF’s Cherry Blossom Festival, and the bag ripped, and precious andagi were rolling down the street, I almost cried. Another time, my MIL threw my baggie full(yes, also from the festival) away, and I nearly had a mental breakdown. Andagi are not easy to come by in SF, and while I’ve had Oahu’s Da Andagi Guy bookmarked in Unilocal for ages, I was not lucky enough to track him down until this most recent trip. And track him down I did — twice within three days(and I would have come more often, but he just isn’t open)! I’m setting the record straight for all you andagi lovers — Da Andagi Guy is located at the Waipahu Don Quijote Sundays 9am — 5pm and Mondays and Wednesdays 9am — 6pm, and these hot, fresh, bite-sized andagi are by far the best I’ve ever had. Available plain or cinnamon sugar, I honestly go back and forth on my favorite, depending on which one I may be currently chowing down on. Prices are a STEAL — 4 for $ 1 or 2 dozen for $ 5; makes me wonder how Da Andagi Guy possibly makes a profit, but, hey, as long as he stays in business, I am one happy camper. Now if only I could get him to move to SF… Note: Unfortunately not the same the next day :(I sacrificed one poor andagi, saving it until the next morning as a test to see whether I could bring back a couple dozen(or seven) to SF. What a bummer that the test failed; bottom line — make sure to eat your andagi fresh!

Okinawan donuts are what I am told andagi are. We’ve eaten them many times and they’re always delicious. Best eaten fresh bc if they’ve say a couple hours they get to be as hard as golf balls. I wish someone had an updated list of days and times Da Andagi Guy is around. We were lucky enough to catch them outside of DonQ Waipahu, only I don’t remember what day it was. Only bought a dozen and regretted not getting 2. Half was plain and half was cinnamon sugar. Middle child and I finished the 6 of cinnamon sugar not even past the bakery section of the store. Great deal. Great snack. Eat ‘em hot and fresh.

Yum! I had the good fortune to find Da Andagi Guy when I went to Don Quixote. I liked that the andagi were the size of a golf ball, so you get more of the crispy crust with each bite. Not too sweet but just right. Really really like these. 2 dozen for $ 5.

His stand was in Waipahu outside Don Quixote. 4 for $ 1… I would recommend you get more than 4 as they are pretty small(see the pic). That being said, they are a perfect snack and you got to eat them hot. Our family was split between cinnamon sugar and plain as their favorite.

I normally dont care for andagi because when i eat them its to hard and dry… but not this one. Not too sweet and has a little crunch on the outside… taste so good!!! Changed my andagi mind set forever. I love em now… check em out at Don Quijote in Waipahu

Good tasting andagi and a good price. 4/$ 1. He makes them(two) bite sized and can even toss them in cinnamon/sugar. Yum!

Normally very happy with service. This morning at 830am told they had a big order and I would need to wait for andagi 15 minutes. Originally wanted 4 dozen then decreased order but still would require a wait. Food service worker in my younger years and was always told to service customers that are there. Of note, previous customers walked away with a dozen. ???

Got some on my way in to Don Quijote. I had to make a choice between 4 for $ 1 or 1 dozen for $ 3. I was truthful with myself that although the dozen was a good deal, we probably wouldn’t eat it all so I ended up getting 4 for $ 1. I was surprised at the smaller size of the andagi being that I’m accustomed to getting baseball sized ones rather than golf ball sized ones. Didn’t matter because the taste made up for the size. Crispy on first bite and soft on the inside. My son and I finished off the bag while we were shopping for groceries.

I’ve not been to the Mililani location, but have definitely bought my share of andagi from him at this location outside of Don Quijote in Pearl City. Can’t beat the price and the quality… so ono! And eat them while there hot… crispy outside and pilowy inside. Great treat after shopping for groceries!

Great on the spot andagi! He travels around and is in different places on different days, but the andagi is always good and always made fresh. It’s super cheap, too, 4 for $ 1.
