My refrigerator broke the day after I had gone food shopping for the month. I called Pete and although he was completely booked, he said he would stop by when he could. He was at my house within a few hours. He diagnosed the problem and came back the very next morning, again despite being booked, to repair my refrigerator. Pete and his son were very polite, professional and efficient! Pete has been in the repair business for over 30 years. I would recommend them for sure!

Looking to find someone to repair my refrigerator but after reading these reviews no thank you think I’ll keep looking. Mahalo for the reviews

I can’t even give this company 1 star !!! We got stuck with this company because of our home warranty… after two phone calls and one «no-show»…they finally showed up and «fixed» our refrigerator/​freezer, only to have it stop working two months later. Back out they come, «parts ordered» a month later… parts finally in. In the meantime we had to purchase a new refrigerator. They finally call us two weeks later to come out and fix it… so we plug it into the GFI in the garage and now it won’t run. They show up and start checking things out and tell us that the reason it won’t run is because we plugged it into the wrong circuit and we should have known that. They called the home warranty company and tried to blame the whole thing on us. New part is ordered. two months, 5 phone calls later and 5 no shows… we were finally able to «fire» them from our home warranty contract… bottom line… worst service company I have EVER had to deal with!
Not to mention «Pete» is incredibly rude on the phone!

I hate having to bash a small business, but if you are fortunate enough to read this review I really wish I could give Pete negative stars…
Spoke with Pete from AC appliance on ¹¹⁄₈ he said he would come out and take a look at our washer «tomorrow afternoon» I said «great what time» and he said «there is no time just will come in the afternoon» and I asked «okay so we just wait here for you? He responded with «afternoon is between 1 and 5pm!» in a rude snappy manner. I was hesitant to continue at this point but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt (Maybe he was busy or having a bad day)
On ¹¹⁄₉ Pete showed up and diagnosed our washer. He was pleasant and not rude in person. He said he needed to order parts and it could take up to 5 days and he would contact us if he could get them sooner, collected his service charge fee and left.
7 days later still no word, so I called him and asked him if he had an update. He said «Ah yes I will be back tomorrow to fix it» GREAT! I thought. Didn’t even bother to ask him for a time frame as he was snappy last time I did, figured we would wait the day for him.
3pm the same day, he calls me and says he is on his way to our location… WHAT? You said tomorrow? We aren’t even home, he gets quiet and says okay see you tomorrow.
Next day 4pm, still no Pete, give him a call. «I am stuck in Hawaii Kai and it’s pouring rain I can’t make it» (ARGHHHH) «I am sitting in front of a customer and I am getting ready to tell them I can’t make it because if I go outside I’m gonna get soaked» (REALLY???) «Can I come tomorrow instead?» I reluctantly agree
Next day no Pete, surprise surprise, this time I have my husband call him. HE YELLS at my husband, said I was annoying him and called me a liar. WOW really PETE? I was so patient for you.
We then complain to the warranty company and he tells them I never had an appointment and he didn’t have the parts yet, tells them my appointment is Monday. We waited all day on Monday NO PETE. WHAT??? NO PETE? REALLY? Not surprised.
Call the warranty company for the no-​show, they call him, he says he never told them I had an appointment on Monday and called the other agent who was smart enough to document everything a liar. Then he tells the warranty company he hasn’t even ordered the parts yet… that was on the 15^th DAY.
We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was overwhelmed, maybe he had some bad things happening personally because his old reviews showed he must have been a great service company and had a zest for his business. Things change. I hope he can get his act together but my advice is stop calling your customers annoying liars… not a good look PETE. Good luck.

Their website says, «24-​Hour Emergency Service.» «Fast, same day response». I just called and the guy responded and said they’re booked until next week. So much for 24-​hour emergency service and same day response. I get that he’s probably busy, but you shouldn’t advertise your business with those statements unless you can follow through. =/

Called this guy to make an appointment and asked if he fixes stack washer/​dryer units and he just says yes sorry we’re all booked today and tomorrow bye and hangs up Okay… Goodbye.

me: hi, good morning, do you guys fix dryers?
him: yeah we do, but i’m not taking any more service calls for two months!
me: hangs up, lol.

I just called regarding my central air was acting funky. I was told they no longer service AC because they’re getting old. I asked if he had any referrals, but was told no everyone they know are all old & not doing it anymore.

Pete: what a repair man. Prompt courteous clean. Diagnosed problem with ease. Knew what he was doing. Came out early sum am to fix refrig. He is a. 5 star plus. You can’t go wrong and $$ very reasonable and no sun up charge. THANKS PETE!!!

Freezer stopped working overnight. Stressful situation… packing all the food in coolers then figuring out what to do. Found Pete on Unilocal and thanks to the previous reviews… decided to call. Left a message at 6:45am…and got a call back at 7am. Terrific! He came over by 8am… took a look at the box… went out to the truck to get a part and BAM all fixed in about 30 minutes. Cost me about $ 200 and saved me the cost of buying a new refrigerator… for now. My major appliances are all about 14 years old… so they will start failing soon. Luckily he gave me a magnet for my fridge so I can call him anytime. AND his magnet says 24 hours too! Thanks Pete! I appreciate the quick and reliable service!

Pete is awesome. I had a problem with the element in my fridge and he was able to immediately schedule same day service. He took time to help me understand what the problem was and even tried to diagnose over the phone. I appreciated his many years of experience and also how he kept his word. Highly recommend!

My refrigerator and freezer were not working properly. The freezer alone was no longer kicking out cold air. I think the compressor maybe out or broken. I was not sure. So with the help of Unilocal, I was able to locate a person or company that could and would do a good job at refrigeration repair service. I ran across A/​C & Appliance on Unilocal. Pete is the owner and is the main repair technician. Pete is fully licensed, bonded and have over 40 years of repairing/​servicing refrigeration units. Pete arrived at my house promptly as promised (within 1 hour). He looked at the Kenmore Refrigerator and Freezer and start his analysis/​trouble shooting right away. He discovered the problem which lies with the Start Switch being burned-​out. He replaced with a new Start Switch, reprogram the computer unit within the Kenmore and bam … now, it is humming like a new refrigerator! My overall experience was great. Pete was friendly, talkative, knowledgeable and very professional. Price was around $ 200 bucks (Include parts, trip, labor and tax), which is competitive with all others out there. His phone numbers will be in my speed dial for all future appliances issues. I highly recommend Pete at A/​C & APPLIANCES. Much mahalo Mr. Pete!

we got lucky Pete was in the area headed back to town but he turned around to come help us with our washer which had stopped working and needed a new motor and motor spring board. he went to town to pick up the parts and came right back within an hour, fixed the washer and it’s working very well again. very reasonable charges for labor too. Pete was friendly, kind, and professional. We will definitely call him again if any of our appliances have any problems. Thank you Pete! :)

I have used them twice and been pleased with the service. They fix the problem quickly because the owner/​tech is well qualified. He gives it to you straight if something is worth fixing or replace. I appreciate that honesty.

I had problems with my Kitchen Aid Dishwasher not starting, got a phone call from Pete who came when he said he would, and did the repair very professionally. When the latch started to malfunction on the same dishwasher, he came back and fixed that too. It’s really nice to have a handy man that is efficient, reliable, and very professional. I appreciate that he didn’t make wait days and weeks like some other people do, he promptly returns phone calls and was very pleasant. Highly recommended! If I could give 10 stars I would.

Our freezer stopped working during the night. The lights were on but it was not cold.
I called the office number listed at 6:36am and explained the problem. At 7:46am, I received a call from Pete, he told me he was on his way to our house!
After he got to the house, he immediately went to work and quickly figured out the problem! The computer board had to be replaced. Pete made a phone call, found the last computer board on Oahu for the freezer and went to go pick it up! Of course, after verifying the price of the board was OK with me.
Pete came back from picking up the computer board. Installed it, followed the extra steps, and our freezer started working again!!! SO HAPPY!!! Same day service for our freezer!!! It looks like we will not lose any of the food!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pete! He is very professional and knows his stuff!!! And SUPER REASONABLE PRICES!!! We will only call him if we ever need anything else fixed again! MAHALO Pete!
