The Döner Kebap, meaning «turning meat», is a traditional Turkish dish served with rice on a plate. The meat is stacked cone-formed and slow roasted on a vertical spit. In the 1970’s a Turkish entrepreneur in Europe altered this dish by stuffing the Döner meat into an artisan bread pocket with fresh greens, tomatoes, red cabbage and added a tangy yoghurt sauce to it.
