I get it. They are churning out drinks and food fast for the hundreds of families that are at their pools. The ahi flatbread we got looked like plastic. The drinks were weak and over priced. We were planning on having lunch here, but after we got the flatbread and cocktails, we left and went had lunch elsewhere. Also if you are an adult looking to escape all the families and kids, definitely avoid!

Honestly for the upscale atmosphere of this resort I was expecting the food to have plenty of flavor & over all be pretty tasty. Unfortunately that was not the case… The volcano nachos were mediocre at best, the watermelon and goat cheese salad I had high hopes for and it was so bland it was disappointing. However the bratwurst was probably the best item offered on this menu so I’d go with that.

Okay– so this review, like all are subjective. This, for a pool«bar» is pretty good. You’re at the Grand Wailea in Maui, you kind of have to expect that things are going to be pricey if not, you’re in for a rude awakening. We stopped here to grab some nachos, sushi roll, drinks and a kids sandwich lunch for our little one. We got my daughters lunch for free, thanks to our awesome waiter and everything was good. Hit the spot after a fun filled day at the pool. Service was speedy and highly attentive. All in all, can’t complain… unless you’re on a budget then you may just.

Volcano was literally my worst experience with dining at the Grand Wailea. The Volcano Bar and Grill is that small grill cart and the section directly next to it where you can order from the same menu as the Grotto. Everything is the same, from the drinks to the food(though the cart has a few different options). I made the mistake of deciding to get nachos one morning. It was fairly quiet, not more than a couple families seated and yet my to-go nachos, with cheese, sour cream, and salsa on the side — took more than twenty minutes. That’s right, chips, meat placed on top and guacamole… twenty minutes. And when they did show up… the chips were double dipped(cooked once, left to cool for awhile and cooked again). And all this for $ 19. Lovely. Never again.
