Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

The Andaz in Wailea was an exceptional hotel in a gorgeous location just ten minutes south of Kihei. It was our first time in Maui, and we stayed here with a couple of friends and their two kids (9 mos and a 3 yr old). Our friends had stayed at the Fairmont before but they fell in love with the Andaz because of their excellent service and numerous amenities included with the resort fee. Traveling with young children can be difficult but the Andaz were very accommodating throughout our entire stay!
Upon entering the resort you are greeted with incredibly fragrant leis and some lavender lemonade served in a chilled glass. They seat you on their balcony overlooking the infinity pools and the ocean while checking you in on an iPad. I requested for my friends and I to be in the same wing, and they were able to accommodate us without any problems. I also had requested for a higher floor (partial ocean view) but unfortunately they didn’t have anything available. We ended up on the 2^nd floor, in the Akau wing. It was relatively private even though we were basically on the ground floor near the adult infinity pool. I thought our view was still spectacular and our location was very quiet despite being close to the pool. Everyday we would shower with the shutters wide open and with the shades up so we could look out at our «partial» ocean view. We could actually see the ocean so that was good enough for us. It was so tranquil and peaceful in our room – a lovely retreat after a day’s worth of activities.
The resort’s complimentary amenities included with the $ 40/​day resort fee were quite substantial. We got sick on our trip and were unable to take advantage of everything, but we had a great experience among the things we did end up using. Sunrise Yoga was just amazing and so relaxing. We used the GoPro which turned out to be an amazing tool on our trip that we’re now considering getting one of our own. We refilled on water constantly with the bottles they gave us, and the unlimited sunblock they provided was a life/​skin saver. They have snacks and non alcoholic drinks in the mini fridge that were replenished on a daily basis which I certainly took full advantage of because they were all local Hawaiian treats! Score.
Regarding the pools — if you like to bum around the pools then there is no better place to relax and feel pampered than at the Andaz infinity pools. The view is spectacular from the higher pools while the lower one is catered toward children and families. The lower pool is more shallow and has a gradual descent from 0′ to 4′. It was designed to look like the beach! The kiddos had so much fun splashing around in the shallow parts. The lower pool is still wonderful to lounge around as you can still see the ocean while being surrounded by gorgeous tropical landscaping. Always plenty of chairs and towels too.
Bumbye Beach Bar — really pricey, but very tasty Lobster Cheese Sandwich, and the chicken lettuce wraps were bursting with flavor. It took some time for our food to come out, but we were in no rush so this was fine for us.
Ka’ana Kitchen — our package came with a daily breakfast buffet in which we took full advantage of. The food here was farm-​to-​table and had a ton of vegetarian options in addition to the sausage and bacon. I absolutely loved the custom pancake bar where I got a delicious choco chip strawberry pancake. They had a variety of fresh cut fruits and the creamiest vanilla yogurt I’ve ever had. Amazing! It’s still pricey at $ 47pp and without any seafood options other than smoked salmon. Good to try at least once for breakfast.
Valet — friendly and easy. Even when they were understandably busy we got our car within 2 – 5 mins every time. The valets were very professional, and I liked how they make you feel so welcome every time you come back to the hotel. I know they’re paid to be friendly but they pulled it off so naturally!
Service here is just top notch overall. Throughout our stay we were either always greeted by the staff or smiled at. I do think it’s worth paying a little more for such excellent hotel service that I honestly haven’t ever experienced elsewhere!
TLDR; perfect stay for honeymooners and young couples due to the new modern décor yet still tropical vibe. Families with young kids will also love it. Take full advantage of the resort amenities and you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful, tranquil, modern resort in the Wailea area. What can I say that others havent? We spent a week here and loved every moment. Nice staff and the location was perfect! The beach and pools never felt crowded. The staff was very helpful, from the pool/​beach staff to concierge and valet.
We came in already expecting the $ 30 added valet fee and the $ 40 resort fee. The resort fee did come with alot of perks, my favorite was the free Go Pro rental. We used that for all our excursions. I wish they had a self parking option but alas if you have a car (which you should have to explore the island with) then just chalk that up to as part of staying here.
Got an amazing Costco rate of $ 380 per night plus tax so it was worth it since regular rates are closer to $ 500 a night. They also stock the room mini fridge with sodas and juice plus supplied chips and granola bars. Water bottles were also provided and you can fillup on water at their watering/​ice stations. The pools also provided sunscreen. Alot of 4 seasons perks without the 4 season prices.
The food and drink prices are super expensive so be aware. $ 17 for mixed drinks and almost all foods are $ 20 and up. Delicious yes but a simple lunch next to the pool can easily run you $$$. We ended up eating off the resort most days. There’s plenty of delicious and cost efficient eats in Maui. Just follow Unilocal or ask the locals and they will point you in the right direction.
Overall, will be returning to the Andaz in the near future. Need to book a winter trip to do some whale watching! Miss you Maui!!!

A little late but definitely worth it! My husband and I enjoyed our one week honeymoon in May at the Andaz property at Wailea. The property is absolutely gorgeous — words do not do it justice. When we arrived at first no one gave us our welcome garlands, water bottles or helped with our luggage. However after that small hiccup everything was just perfect. The front desk and concierge staff were so nice and helped us with all of our questions.
The infinity pools and beach front were made for beach bums like us :) They also have a variety of water activities to choose from and go pros to capture all those exciting moments. The beach crew were just amazing, super attentive and friendly. They also provided some entertainment during those lazy afternoons (rap battle by the beach). Food at Morimoto is like a party in your mouth! Mochi pancakes at breakfast were the bomb! I will definitely be staying with them during my next trip as well :)
Cons aka reasons for losing a star:
After returning from my trip I noticed a really large charge on my card which seemed wrong since I had already settled my account. Turned out they had stored my info and charged me for someone else’s stay who had the same last name as me for a future trip :/​They did refund the money but I had to call twice to clear things out.

As you walk into the Andaz at Wailea you’ll say to yourself «Come on!!! You gotta be kidding me!!». The entrance leading up to the magnificent lobby and then the view out to the infinity pools in front of the pacific ocean… simply breathtaking. If you’re ever in Wailea, definitely consider staying here. It’s chic, luxurious, and sexy. The room may be a bit smaller than you’d expect but very modern and functional. The rain shower is pretty awesome but no tubs unless you get the suites. I recommend getting a room with swing outdoor patio chair and also spend sometime in the outdoor hammocks. Also be sure to pick up your GoPro camera (covered in the resort fees) from the concierge if you do anything adventurous. Don’t hesitate booking a night here… you won’t regret it!

Amazing hotel! New and contemporary on an amazing beach! Definitely worth the money. Last time stayed at the Ritz on the north side of the island, which was nice, but the Andaz is far above and beyond. Very friendly staff and the suite we stayed in was incredible! Restaurants there were all really good too. Just wish there was self parking, as the valet gets backed up at times.

We traveled across the country and over the sea to get to this paradise resort, and it was so worth it! This place is heaven on earth. You’re greeted with valet, a cool cloth to refresh your face, and very kind people helping with your luggage to your room, and it only gets better the longer you’re there. Top notch, and well worth it in celebration of our wedding. My parents enjoyed the short walk to the beach, and we all enjoyed the five pools and Morimoto on the scene! Not to mention very friendly house keeping, and staff in general. How can you go wrong? You can tell other businesses in the area rest on their laurels due to the beauty of the area, but not Andaz. They keep their service, and quality up to be just as amazing as Wailea itself, which is a feat when you see how gorgeous the area is. LOVED EVERY SECOND. We will be back someday.

My wife and I had a remarkable ten night honeymoon stay at the Andaz Maui. I made our reservation over six months in advance and utilized one of my four annual suite upgrades as I am a Diamond member of the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty program.
We received the standard Hawaiian lei greeting and the bellman/​valet crew quickly offered to stow our luggage as we arrived well ahead of check in time. We were promptly offered lavender lemonade and wine as we checked in.
When we came back a bit later when our room was ready, we were told our suite was upgraded. We were in room 740. It is on the highest floor and is the most oceanfront suite on the floor. Our room wowed us and we were delighted. Shortly thereafter, the bellman delivered our luggage and answered some questions for us quickly and with a smile.
The room has a lovely window facing the ocean as well as two stunning balconies that face the ocean. One has two chairs, a table, and a swing. The other has a lounge chair. The views were spectacular.
The room was huge and very modern. The shades could be lowered and raised via controls in each room. The lights were also easy to turn on and off. There was a TV in the bedroom as well as the living area. We also had a large table.
The minibar that was replenished daily as part of the resort fee. We received two each of assorted Aloha beverages, Maui Brewing Company root beer, Virgil’s cola, Hawaiian granola bars, and Maui potato chips.
The bathroom had a rain shower and a nice tub. Several toiletries were included and replenished including makeup removal wipes, mouthwash, toothbrushes, and more. The main bathroom toilet had a bidet as well.
Housekeeping was hands down the best we have ever received and we have stayed at a number of resorts across the country. Our room was spotless at all times and everything was replenished and stocked at all times.
At most resorts the resort fee is a joke. Here it is $ 40 and includes a number of things including the minibar. It also includes a complimentary 45 photo session with Pacific Dream Photography and they do an amazing job. You only purchase what you want. It also includes two plastic water bottles you can easily refill on every even numbered floor. Free sunscreen is also provided throughout the resort. Free use of the snorkel gear through the Andaz beach crew is included. You may also book a number of freebies such as a canoe trip, paddle board lesson, fitness classes, ukulele lesson, coconut husking and weaving, and many more. The laundry room on the second floor has complimentary detergent as well as complimentary washing machines and dryers. Great bang for your buck. You also have free use of a GoPro if you like!
Service was exceptional our entire stay. We were greeted by name a number of times throughout the resort. The valet is $ 30 a night and service was top notch and prompt day in and out.
We received complimentary breakfast at the Ka’Ana kitchen and it was excellent. We also had cocktails at both bars and they were excellent. Morimoto’s had great lunch and dinner options.
The resort is oceanfront and service at the beach and pools is exceptional. We were quickly offered chair slips and towels as well as umbrellas. We were also offered cabanas.
The resort is a short drive from several dining options at the Shops at Wailea and a short drive from Lahaina.
We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back. We’ll settle for reality for now!

Wow.
We were greated with lays as we got out of the cab and they took our bags, walking to the lobby its very luxury and peaceful, you know what experience your in for when your walking to the lobby and its a good one.
As soon as you enter the lobby we were greated by Vanessa with a big smile which was so polite and well mannered, helping us through our reservation on her ipad and was very helpful, the staff here so far are absolutely ⁵⁄₅ very very polite and helpful, the layout and open design of the lobby is awesome, definitely is modern and luxury.
The hotel is amazing, the way we were greated and taken care of is 110% the best of any hotel or resort i have been too.
They also remembered i was here for my birthday which was already a week ago and got upgraded to full ocean view with a fruit and dessert platter.
The room is very modern and classy with a Scandinavian design. remote shutters and blinds are a cool touch. The bathroom is huge with a dual head shower which is more than big enough. The wardrobe is also a very decent size, they offer a dry cleaning service also which is very convenient and makes your travels easier.
There are 3 restaurants to chose from at the resort and also a lot of pools with an adults only pool which is a lot more chilled out and quiet, usually less crowded too, also they offer a very nice day spa with fitness centre.
Highly recommended this, if i come back to maui i refuse to stay anywhere else! If i could rate it higher i would.
It has made Maui for us.

This resort is AMAZING. Although my stay here was short, it was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had from check-​in to check-​out.
The staff is super helpful and friendly, the amenities are outstanding, and my dinner at Morimoto’s was excellent. Not only would I stay here again, but I’m recommending it to everyone.

Great resort and the hospitality is top notch. The shower is the highlight of the day due to the great water pressure and rain shower coming from the top and remote shower head. FYI be mindful that there is a 30 $ valet fee (mandatory valet parking) and 40 $ resort fee.

Gets a 4 because of the beautiful property, excellent breakfast in the Kaana Kitchen and the poolside service. This place is on the verge of being a 5 star property if they tightened up the service. There are places you go where you can tell they are «faking it» and this seems to be one. Yes, they give you a lay when you walk in and say nice things to welcome you, but in my case, 4 hours later I was getting yelled at by the valet guy because I forgot my ticket. Same guy that did all of the «welcome sir aloha…» hours earlier when we pulled up. Also, do not bother calling for your car to be pulled up. They only say they will let the valet know to humor you. Each time we walked out and the valet had NO CLUE that we had called. If you are going to have such an inefficient valet, then you should offer self parking.
The place is excellent and the location and amenities is what truly matters. After walking down the beach and checking out the Grand Wailea and Fairmont (the other two 4.5 star hotels), we realized we had made the right decision. The Wailea was dated, the pools looked gross and it seemed like a loud place for kids. Not nearly as modern or clean as the Andaz. Same for the Fairmont. Basically, unless you can afford the Four Seasons then you cannot do any better than the Andaz in Maui.

Meh.
Lets address all the issues with this «5 star» hotel.
1. The room…
a. The rooms are tiny. SO TINY! I stayed at the four seasons before and the suite here is almost the same size as their lead in room.
b. Only one sink in the bathroom… Who designed this? A lot of couples here.
c. Closet in the bathroom… Who designed this? Seriously. the stupidest design idea ever.
The staff
Not a 5 star staff. There was a myriad of issues but one stands out. We were in a room attached to our neighbors by a door. The neighbors were getting drunk and kept knocking on our door. Not only that but their small little party spilled into the hallway. The front desk said they couldn’t do much as the «guests weren’t in the hallway». LOL wut.
They ended up giving us a new room in a quiet area. This room was much better but the procedure of moving to the new room was a pain. The front desk staff knew we got home from a snorkeling trip at 230pm. They guaranteed that our belongings would have been transferred by the time we got back. Needless to say, that didn’t happen and we couldn’t get access to our new room. This was the last thing we needed to hear since being on a boat since 6am. We ended up getting into our room at 4pm, and there was No apology from staff.
Also, the front desks staff attempted to charge us for an additional night even though 1 night was free.
Also, you pay 40 dollar for a resort fee and an additional parking fee of 30 a day… Meaning the room rate spikes 70 a day.
Also, if you aren’t a diamond member or didn’t book through a travel agent, breakfast cost 115 for 2!!! Luckily I’m a diamond member and booked through my travel agent but this price is totally not worth it! It’s a huge buffet so if that’s your thing, more power to you. However we don’t eat that much food so for us it was a wash.
Why 2 star?
AWESOME concierge staff.
This hotel fits a need I guess, but it just isn’t for me.

POOR customer service. Overpriced for what it is. Stay at the Four Seasons, pay the same, and get true 5 star service. Layout of hotel wasn’t thought out. Worst service at the main restaurant. Our server took 25 mins to bring me a menu at breakfast. Husband got buffet and finished before I even ordered. Then she brought us the bill. I said «I haven’t even eaten yet»…Then another 30 mins goes by and my food is no where to be found. She says «oh no! Let me go look for that». Then I see her clearing people’s plates and filling waters all around the floor before going back to kitchen for me. This made me furious. Called to speak to manager. They «passed the message along» and I never heard back from anyone.
Save yourself a headache and stay somewhere else!

Over the course of months I researched Maui hotels and finally decided on Andaz. While the website didn’t impress me, the reviews for the hotel were great.
In my opinion the hotel is much more beautiful than shown on the site. The lobby is open to the pools and ocean below. The feeling of walking through the lobby with the Maui breeze coming off the ocean is to die for.
Our room was an oceanfront room and we could actually see the spouts of whales from our balcony! Gorgeous views of the ocean and Molokini. The beach is pristine as well.
Everything at Andaz was top notch.
Reviews will say the toilet area is small and the door is difficult to close; the water temperature is difficult to operate; and extra fees are over $ 70/​day
These things are true, but I would gladly do it all over again. We loved every second of our stay at Andaz and I hope we are able to return someday!

Built in the shell of the former Renaissance Wailea, the Andaz Maui is Hyatt’s posh, luxurious resort in the exclusive Wailea Resort. Andaz is Hyatt’s boutique brand, so no two properties are alike and are designed to be reflective of its surroundings. So it’s not surprising that the Andaz Wailea has a very airy feel with tons of natural light, lots of warm wood tones, a sand pit in the lobby, lush landscaping, and lots of water features.
Upon arrival, you’re greeted with leis. Bell takes your bags from you (at your option of course), and you take that lovely walk into the lobby. There, an associate will greet you with an iPad to check you in. You don’t go to the front desk, rather you’re asked to sit wherever you please and are presented cold towels and your choice of water or lavender lemonade. Once we checked-​in, they informed us our room wasn’t ready (it was only 10am), so we decided to explore he property a little. A few hours later, we received a call informing us that our room was ready and that we had been upgraded. Note: the property’s policy is to NOT upgrade Platinum Elites to a different room type; upgrades are strictly based on view.
To our surprise, we were upgraded to a fantastic ocean view SUITE in the Makai Wing. Room 240 to be exact. The room was massive! The living room had a dining table, a large bench, a sofa, large HDTV, a water closet, a wet bar, Keurig, mini bar, a Bose BT speaker, a large desk, and it’s own balcony with seating for three. Through a set of doors was the equally grand bedroom with a super comfy love seat, a king bed, large HDTV, and it’s own balcony. The master bath was the peek-​a-​boo type with a massive rain shower, a huge soaking tub, dual vanity, separate water closet with Japanese style bidet toilet, and a closet with a safe, ironing board, iron, shoe brush, shoe horn, slippers, and robes.
This being an Andaz meant the room was well stocked. The property’s unique bath products, Malie, has a great fragrance and includes face soap, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There was also a sewing kit, makeup remover, 4 toothbrushes, two tubes of toothpaste, mouthwash, and a shower cap. The mini bar area was stocked with sparkling water, artisan sodas, Maui chips, granola bars, K-​Cups & Starbucks Via coffee. All non-​alcoholic beverages and food items are complimentary and re-​stocked daily at Andaz properties. Reusable water bottles are provided with filling stations dispersed throughout the property. Wifi is free, and while decent, was a little slow by my standards; about 9mb/​s up and down.
Our room was very quiet, the a/​c worked very well, and the bed & bedding was really comfortable. My one complaint about the room is the fact that the temperature control for the shower is pretty difficult to use, the maximum water temperature could be higher, and the water pressure could be better. The privacy indicator at the property is the electronic variety, which is great because the hallways are slightly open. The lights, the shades, and the blackout shades are controlled via panels located on one of the night stands and on the desk. Especially appreciated is the presence of both a USB and standard outlet on the headboard.
Ok, so enough about the room. The property itself is quite large and has many pools spread all around the property. Some are adults only, while the large «cove» pool on the beach level is for all. There is a pool bar (Bumbye Bar), the Lehua Lounge overlooking the upper pool, a Morimoto’s, the property’s signature restaurant (Ka’ana Kitchen), an apothecary Spa, and a ²⁴⁄₇ sundries with a gelato bar and hot & cold foods (Mokapu Market). The food and drinks are really great here too, but that’s another review. The property does also provide private car service for transportation around the Wailea Resort area.
Service throughout our stay was outstanding. ALL employees were very warm and genuinely friendly. Whenever we passed by someone, they’d stop what they were doing and would greet us. Ok, so the valet wait times could be a little long, but I attribute this to them being understaffed. The valets themselves were very friendly, very quick, and they had great memories! Every day they’d ask what we were up to, and the following day would ask how a specific activity we did the previous day went! I was really impressed.
It goes without saying that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The wife and I didn’t want to leave, and it’s safe to say she’s even more spoiled now! The location was beautiful, the accommodations were fantastic, and the service excellent.

This is a high end hotel, that is brand new and very modern. I paid 600 a night and it was in the pricey end but the hotel is beautiful. With the resort fee you get a go pro can which is cool. Also they have a 24 HR market in the hotel.
Cons– the hotel drinks are 17 bucks. Way more expensive than Vegas.

The Andaz Maui is a beautiful, boutique type of upscale hotel. The views are stunning! You can’t take a bad picture here! The hotel itself is minimalist and open – modern «Old Hawaii» feel with a gorgeous lobby that was all decorated for Christmas, including a huge real Christmas tree! Customer service is awesome from valets, front desk, concierge, housekeeping, to the waiters! There are 5 pools, lawns, and beach to lounge with chairs and towel service. No drink service on the beach though. Snorkel and boogie boards at the beach. Plus, the Andaz Beach crew is awesome! Kayak, paddle board, outrigger, snorkeling, water bike excursions… some included, some for an extra fee, but ALL were awesome! Lots of good snorkeling with turtles, octopus, sharks, whales right off the beach! The restaurants are excellent!
They have lots of great small touches:
–fresh squeezed juice bar – every kind you can think of including a daily green blend!!! :)

Only complaints:
–A/​C doesn’t work properly – your options are either freezing cold or no air and hot. First night I couldn’t even figure out how to turn it off and froze all night. Finally figured out to turn the temp up to 76 and put on «auto»
–room walls are thin and you have to let the door slam shut to
–people swimming in infinity pool at 6:30 am that created an echoing splashing noise for an hour and woke us up 3 days in a row (but, hey, at least it helped me catch the sunrise)
–drinks are expensive $ 17, wine $ 19+/glass
–lunch menu doesn’t have grilled fish… you can only get it after 5pm

Parking is $ 30 for valet. Try to self park it far and walk if you want to save money. 3 infinity pools with a great view. They have the best service. Upon arriving at the hotel, every employee offers to take your luggage. Another employee put a free lei on us girls and guys. As we walked further into the lobby, workers greeting you and offering you a wet towel which you will need after sweating from the humidity. They have plenty of soft couches for you to sit while they check you in with their portable devices. It’s just great service. They even offered me a drink.
Waiting for shuttles to get from our hotel to down the street or luau was easily accessible. They have lockers and clean towels for after pool use.
For diamond members, we have our snacks and drinks refilled every time we leave and the design of the bathroom is intriging. They even refill bathroom supplies. We were able to get late check out as a diamond member til 2pm, but upon availability in the morning. I would return and continue to book with the Hyatt. Also free breakfast buffet for diamond members.

For those who know the Andaz brand you should know the type of facility, view, room designs, and amenities to expect. The design of the hotel is extremely modern and is designed for those seeking a more contemporary setting/​experience compared to traditional hotels.
Considering that this is arguably one of the 3 best hotels in Maui, I was a bit disappointed as I first approached the hotel entrance since it was nothing like what I envisioned from the pictures. That soon changed as I entered the hotel and check in. The staff provided us with fresh flower leis (sorry that you didn’t get this Tara!) and fresh squeezed lemonade during our check in.
The view is jaw dropping spectacular in the lobby. I visited the Grand Wailea and the Marriott hotel properties in Maui and the views and décor don’t compare anywhere close to the Andaz. In my opinion, Andaz has the best hotel pool in Maui (look at my pics and see if you disagree).
The bar attendant will serve you drinks and food at the pool (quite expensive ~$ 16 for a cocktail but worth it if you want to relax and splurge).
The service was fantastic. You have a 24 hour concierge who will answer your call and get you whatever you need at a moment’s notice (e.g., toothbrush, blankets, towels). On the first day, the room was so cold that I requested a maintenance man to come in to take a look at 2am (came in 5 min). The maintenance man was not able to fix this problem b/​c there is no heater here… or a way to shut down the A/C…but nevertheless I was impressed they were able to send someone that quickly…(word of warning: request blankets. It’s 60 degrees in the room and you’ll need to shut off your A/​C and warm your room).
As for the rooms, they are a bit on the smaller side. I brought 4 luggage bags and it covered up a sizable portion of the room floor. All of the rooms are the same size with the exception of the suite (which will cost you ~$ 1000+ a night) so unless you fork that up or get upgraded as a Hyatt diamond elite, expect to have a small size room.
The hotel charges a $ 40 resort fee per day. Take advantage of this. I learned Hula dancing, participated in sunset yoga class, borrowed snorkeling gear and a gopro 4. There are additional activities such as standing paddleboat activities, kayak, ukelele lessons, etc. but they are available only on specific days of the week so I suggest you reserve your spot with the concierge in advance.
While my experience at the Andaz was not flawless, I am thankful to the wonderful staff who accommodated my requests. Between our stays, we were able to get a wonderful photoshoot from our designated photographers (4hr session). We are able to utilize Andaz’s facilities, storage rooms, etc. and we are extremely thankful to the staff.

Aesthetically, visually this hotel is a complete stunner. Just about every crevice of the property is clean, modern and picturesque.
But for the price paid, I gotta be honest… I expected a damn lei.
I saw so many people being warmly greeted when they arrived during my stay here. Not sure if I came at a bad moment, but I didn’t receive a warm greeting, no damn lei and my room wasn’t ready although it was past the check-​in time by over an hour and a half. After traveling that far and paying that much, I was hoping to ease on in a little more smoothly.
But, it didn’t kill my vibe. I mean, it’s Maui for goodness sake.
For the resort fee, there are quite a few activities that you can take advantage of. Beach yoga in the mornings was awesome and was inclusive in the fee. (I absolutely loved the instructor!) However, SUP was filled when I called the night before, so make sure to hop on it as soon as possible.
The hotel also stocks the rooms with lots of complimentary local goodies; granola bars, root beer, chips, water, coffee… all for you! The bathroom products were also fantastic in quality and size.
My partial beach view room actually had a much better view that I anticipated. It looked out onto the infinity pools, poolside bar and had a great view of the beach, barely obstructed. I also enjoyed playing with the remote control blinds as I pretended this was everyday life.
Overall, this is an absolutely gorgeous facility but is probably best for couples or a very laid back girls’ trip. Definitely not a social place, but completely beautiful, relaxing and indulgent. However, for the price paid I probably would have been just as happy in a less luxurious hotel and spent my money elsewhere throughout this beautiful island.

Absoluter Luxus. Sehr freundlich und sehr kompetent. Es lohnt sich in jeder Hinsicht. Fantastischer Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang beim Essen. Hervorragendes Essen!!!
