Probably the nicest hard rock I’ve been to. The guitar wave is a great way to show off the guitars. You’ll see it when you walk upstairs. The view isn’t the ocean, but is still nice. Service was good. Food is was good. We had a couple of burgers, club sandwich and a tuna plate. We didn’t take much home, so either we were hungry or it was good, or maybe both. Drinks were ok, wish mine was stronger, probably wouldn’t go there to have drinks.

Visited this restaurant for dinner to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and Aunty’s birthday — the service by our waiter was nothing less then exceptional we were very impressed. Food was great, cocktails amazing and music entertaining. Good all rounder. The manager came to check on our party to see if everything was okay and they kindly brought over two ice cream sundaes & sung happy birthday to celebrate — we were all surprised as they did this on their behalf — it was very appreciated.

This was such a great place to take my family to. Yes, it is a chain restaurant that is all over the world, but it just never disappoints! The atmosphere is rockin’…literally! We had a great time listening to music & eating the delicious food! Currently, they have a «burger world tour part 22016». Yep, you guessed it! We ordered a burger. Specifically, we ordered the Atomic Burger(Las Vegas, NV). It is a Beef patty topped with Atomic beer-battered peppers, pepper jack cheese, Atomic fried onions, Sriracha mayo and atomic ketchup. If you like spicy, this burger is for you! As always, we like our burgers cooked Medium, and it was pink to perfection! Each bite had such a sweet, yet spicy flavor. The burger wasn’t quite as juicy as I had hoped, but it was still very tasty! The funny thing is the atomic ketchup was more spicy than the burger! Order this one… it is good! Our server’s name was Alana & she was extremely pleasant & attentive to our needs. Even her manager was extremely kind and personable. We enjoyed our service and the food! Try it out… rock on!!!

Great service. Yummy food!!! Had dinner in Fabi’s section last night, and she was so sweet! She had great recommendations and made us feel welcome. My husband and I have been coming to Oahu for the past five years and have started some traditions of our own. We tried going to three different places that we’ve been to in the past, and none of them were there. Seeing Waikiki transform into Las Vegas and becoming more commercialized is very sad for me to see. After learning of our let downs, we decided to have dinner at The Hard Rock Café. I’m very glad we did. The manager Navina came over and spent some time talking with us, and was super sweet!!! We felt so welcomed there and will definatelt be going back! Thank you Fabi and Navina :)

The Legend Burger was awesome and we substituted the fries for salad. Also ordered the Chicken salad with candied pecan, bacon, eggs, was great. A far cry from a healthy salad, but what the heck. The only negative was the fried chicken on the top was sad. Chicken was shaped like little calamari and the batter was tasteless. Will stick with the wonderful burgers next time. Our server, Linn Danger, was wonderful. She also dresses the part.

I’m a vegetarian, and the options are a little limited, but the veggie patty is amazing! You can get the veggie patty on any burger they have, so you aren’t just limited to the Veggie Leggie. I got it on the fiesta burger and it was amazing! The patty had a lot of flavor and even had a little kick. I upgraded to the parmesan fries with garlic aioli sauce. I would definitely upgrade the fries! I got the oreo cheesecake for desert and it was sooo good. The service was amazing as usual at Hard Rocks, our server was so friendly and really helpful. I loved the area too. The hanging guitars is so cool and I love that the space is half indoor half out. The music is always great and theres live music after 9!

The Hard Rock Café in Waikiki is in a great location. The bar/restaurant is on the second floor and provides a good view. The bartenders were very attentive and made a great Blue Hawaiian. The guitar art on the ceiling is by far the best I have seen at any Hard Rock. I would definitely come back the next time I am in town.

Well I tried to eat at this restaurant today but alas I couldn’t. My family and I arrived around 8 o’clock to a packed restaurant. The wait wasn’t long but it must have been 98 degrees with no breeze in this open air hard rock. After sitting for about five minutes i had to leave the table to get some air for fear of having a heart stroke. My family ate a good meal according to them but I was not able to eat with all the heat in this place. I wish they had at least one ceiling fan to circulate some air but none was to be found anywhere. I’m sorry I didn’t consume a meal here but I was dying of heat.

Incredible! Absolutely incredible! I was so shocked when Skrillex came on the jukebox. I did not like that so they lose two stars for that one. The rest was great. I ate a pulled pork sandwich. The food steams as they bring it out for you which blew my mind! Also, there are a ton of smokin hot Asians! Just my type.

After walking Kalakaua and a long day, I needed a drink. Not a stiff one but something with some balls. Looking at the options available in the immediate vicinity I chose for us to come here. I don’t come here often so I always forget they greet you right there in the front to check your party in. This is the retail section of the store. You then proceed to the rear taking the stairs up to the 2nd floor. It was pretty crowded and packed. We went for the bar stools. No waiting and and sat down immediately. Bartender was pretty quick said he can take our order if we knew what we want else it could 10 min before he checks on us again since it was busy. After a quick view of the menu I put in my order. Purple Haze $ 10.25 This hit the spot for me. I would order it again. Maybe with a twist just for a little more sour kick. There were lots of people there. It was a Saturday night and Spam Jam was in full swing. That made it muggy. I was working up a sweat and we weren’t even dancing. Still, I was with a good friend and we had many good conversations. I’ve been meaning to come here during the day to get a better look at the fantastic memorabilia displayed here from Beetles to Elvis to Rolling Stones. Well, that gives me incentive to come another time for another round of libations.

Went last night for an early Mother’s Day Dinner… arrived @ 7:15pm for our 7:30pm reservations for a party of 13, did not get seated until about an hour later. Upon being seated, we were greeted by the Manager(did not get his name) and he apologized for the delay and was surprised that we were given complimentary appetizers. The kids devoured it ! Our waiter Steven was awesome! Food and service was no disappointment. The wait was definitely worth it! Thank you Hard Rock Café for«ROCKINGOURWORLD» ! We will definitely be back!

This place is pretty good. Very limited menu. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive. The nachos were absolutely delicious and very filling. The drinks are pretty good as well. The atmosphere is really cool and being the second floor gives it another plus. Only reason I knocked off one star is we were sitting right next to the railing and when it started raining and the wind was blowing in our direction our napkins started flying everywhere and we were getting wet. I kinda wished they would’ve noticed that and closed the doors or pull the shades down or something. Other than that I would definitely recommend this for lunch, we were stuffed and satisfied. It’s worth coming early at opening time and is also walking distance for many of the hotels in the area.

Fun place to eat, have drinks, and be merry. The restaurant is on the second level. Very loud but manageable. We had reservations but still had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. Try and get a table near the balcony. It’s typical hard rock café with a Hawaiian influence, especially the drinks. The food was good. Went with a burger. They are kid friendly and have a kids menu. The staff was attentive and checked on us regularly. It was a busy evening on the fourth of July. I would give them another try.

We came in around 3 – 4 ish so it was slow and plenty of seating(which was awesome !) Our sever fabi was absolutely great, will defiantly come back to have her as our server ! My friend had the twisted Mac and cheese and she loved it And I had the chickens salad which was really good the lemon balsamic vinaigrette was amazing. Overall great experience. I’m in and out of Honolulu/Waikiki for business purposes on a regular basis and I happened to stop by this Hard Rock Café location for lunch last week. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Service from the bar was great and the gentlemen helping me were very friendly. However the sandwich was horrible. I was spitting out what I assumed was bones chunks. The sandwich also tasted a little odd. After the visit and later in the day, I came down with all the symptoms of food poison from this visit. I spent the next couple days not eating anything and the usually symptoms of food poison were in full force. I have made a visit to this location off and on numerous times and a lot of visits seem like the soft drinks taste like they are super flat and watered down. I’m alright with those issues and have continued to return, but after this visit, I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location. It’s the second time I’ve seen my meal not prepped right and this visit was too much of a cost to my health and business visit. I can’t recommend this location for food.

I don’t know what those people were talking about when they said that it was way too loud. When we were there it was not even close to loud. They could have turned up the music a bit more and I would have been happy. I will have to say that this was the best experience we have had at a Hard Rock and we have been to them all over the world. Our waiter Jack was awesome and I don’t say that often. I took the advice of people on here and ordered the local fish tacos. They were great. The fish was a nice big filet with fresh pice de gallo. And the fried plantains were to die for. I could have eaten that for dessert. Even after we were done, Jack was able to talk us into dessert. We shared the chocolate lava cake with ice cream. Again what can I say, it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. We will be back, if not just for the food but to be waited on by Jack!

On our first night in Waikiki, we had a late dinner so exploring and finding a new place to eat was not something on our to-do list. The Hard Rock was real close to our hotel, the Sheraton Waikiki, so we gave it a shot around 9:00PM at night, and it’s like any Hard Rock you’ll find in Los Angeles(i.e. Universal Citywalk or Hollywood). Live band, traditional Hard Rock décor, etc. The first floor is where they take your party’s name and all that jazz(no pun intended– actually there can’t be any pun because it’s a café with rock music, not jazz– so, failed attempt). ANYWAYS, the first floor is literally a shop with clothing, knick knacks, etc., and you go up the long stairs with a plethora of electric guitars going up from the wall all the way to the ceiling(cool sight). As you make your way upstairs, you hit the extremely loud, Hard Rock-vibe room with the live band playing, and you overlook the beachwalk. Food was decent. Ribs were great, but I had the burger and the burger was just– came with fries and it was just– you know what? I just don’t like restaurant burgers. They make them so big and gourmet that it doesn’t even taste like a burger. It usually tastes sweet for some reason and falls apart and I just– Shouldn’t have had a burger that night. Wasn’t pleased. I was thinking against it at first. You should’ve gone with your first intention Ryan, always do that. Sorry everyone, this is probably one of the weirdest and unsophisticated reviews I’ve ever written just– Go to Hard Rock for the dessert. Even though I didn’t have any that night, damn it! Mahalo.

They should call this place saltys! High salt content! Ordered the sampler appetizer and couldn’t even finish one wing. It was so salty. I feel like I needed to wash the food before we ate it. Def don’t like to complain about stuff like food but man I had to get on Unilocal and let everyone know!

Ambiance was cool. Pretty busy for a Monday night. Our server Angerra was nice enough. Could have been a bit more affable and smile more, but the manager, Davina?* made up for it. I have not been to any Hard Rock Cafes since fifth grade. I decided to give this one a shot after nearly a decade and a half absence. I was quite surprised with the improvements since I last ate. The reason why I never went back was that the food was terrible back then. If Unilocal existed back then, I would have given that place one star(Hard Rock Vegas). The food was 4 stars, ambience was 2 ½ stars(because it was too loud), and service was 5 stars. Decided that I should give this a 4 star because it was an overhaul improvement since I last went to one Hard Rock Café! Ordered the shrimp platter and my dad ordered the fish taco. The food exceeded our expectations, but not entirely. Our waiter was awesome(forgot his name). He was quick and very attentive as well as energetic. The only problem I had with Hard Rock Café was that it was too loud, even when it’s a «family friendly» establishment. But nevertheless I will be back! Thanks again for bringing back my love for Hard Rock Café!

Came here three times while we were in Hawaii this week! Excellent service each time. The first time we came I got the Lil’ Rock burger with their special Parmesan fries and garlic sauce(way good!!!) we came during happy hour so there was a variety of drink specials. I got the seabreeze, the hubs got the blue Hawaiian, both were great drinks and cheap(only $ 5 each)! We came back again that night for their live music and late night happy hour– such a great atmosphere! The second time we came back I got the twisted Mac and cheese, it was really flavorful and has some type of buffalo sauce on it which tasted really nice– not your typical Mac and cheese. Both times the hubs got the Dakine burger which was a really big burger but worth every bite! Can’t wait to come back next time we come to Hawaii!

Yes, it is a Hard Rock. I’ve been going to this chain since the 90s. I’ve been to Hard Rocks from the West To the East coast and in between, as well as London, Dublin, Glasgow, Germany and Amsterdam. I do have to say, this is an extraordinary HR. We were seated for lunch close to the railing so it gave that open air feel. I ordered the freshly caught fish tacos and they were incredible! The other place I had great fish tacos was on Kauai, so apparently the Islands have got it down. What I liked best was the amount of fish and it was a strip, rather than flakes or a fish stick. Yes, dear friends there are restaurants out there that have stock in vandekamps fish products. It was also served with plantains. Now how did they know I love plantains, psychic maybe? The plantains with the fish tacos, gave it a Mex-Cuban feel. Whatever, it was amazing. Thanks Hard Rock for raising the bar for fish tacos for me… Again.

Note to Nicole H.: If you are starting to read this, just UFC the bottom and move on cause you don’t want to ruin one of your Christmas presents. I don’t usually eat at Hard Rock Cafes except for that one time in Sherwood Forest(Nottingham), but I buy Christmas presents in their various locations throughout the world. This particular Hard Rock store had a fabulous display of real guitars running from one wall up and onto the ceiling, basically«floating.» It is definitely worth going in just to see the guitar display. No, Nicole H., if you are still reading, it isn’t your present. Actually, I don’t believe they are for sale. The store has a lot of clothing choices, though. Ones that I haven’t seen anywhere else. For the hubby, I purchased his usual grey Hard Rock polo to match one of the newer ones in his collection from Phoenix, except this one has Honolulu on it, of course. For the daughter, I purchased a trendy shirt that I haven’t seen in other Hard Rocks recently. There was a Unilocal check in offer, which I used to purchase one shirt. I made the hubby use his Unilocal check in offer to purchase the other shirt. So technically, I think he bought his own present. Oops.

Probably the best Hard Rock Café experience I’ve had — ever… and I’ve been to quite a few. You’re greeted by friendly staff in the downstairs retail store before making your way up the stairs. As you go up the stairs, the first thing you notice is the ceiling: completely lined with guitars! The ambiance is great. The bar feels a bit more like a downtown club than a Hard Rock, but as you quickly look around, you know exactly where you are. Rock memorabilia is everywhere and with a Hawaiian theme. The music the night we were there was heavy on the late 90’s, which for a Millennial, is quite nostalgic: D. Live music later is great. The service was surprisingly superb. I probably prejudged our waiter by the way he looked(like he hadn’t taken a shower in a week), but he was awesome. He made the experience relaxed for this family with 4 young kids. The food was above average to great, depending on what you get. Drinks are exceptional. If you don’t like loud music, skip this spot, but otherwise this is a Waikiki must visit.

Best burgers in Waikiki so far! Beats cheeseburger and Dukes. Food: Fairly wide variety of stuff, much like a Red Robin or other medium class chain. They cook to order their burgers which is great. The fries are tasty and crisp. Sandwiches are big and good. The drinks are decent and with a seven day a week happy hour at 10pm, you cant beat that for a late night pit stop between shopping and dancing! Atmosphere: Its a bit dark and moody, with lots of neon and colored lights to make the place more fun and almost a nightclub feel. there are plenty of seats as the place is big. and they are accommodating if you want a window seat or near the AC if your not used to the climate. Probably the best part is the live bands! I mean, you get to listen to rock music while eating being played live by some really fun guys. We had one band covering Led zeppelin and they did a mash up where it lead into the theme to Gilligan’s isle. I mean, how epic is that? I was happy :) Price: The price is about that as other medium class burger chains. But because the service is good and the food is really well prepared, I feel its value way more than the other burger joints nearby. Service: The three times I’ve been there the staff have been fun, upbeat, and attentive. If your splitting something, they will bring it out pre-separated for the two of you, which to me shows class. They really try and I tip them nicely every time.

Atmosphere is fun with guitar décor and music videos playing. Food was good. Better than average. My steak and shrimp fajitas were tasty. My only complaint was my tortillas were kinda hard and stale. The shrimp were really big and plump. The steak was cooked well but a small portion. I also got a side of Mac n cheese which I really enjoyed. My husband’s pulled chicken sandwich was good. Came with fluffy bun and tasty fries. Apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream was great. I’m more of a chocolate girl but wanted to try something different. Probably the best cobbler I’ve had. Which really isen’t saying much. Heh. Waitress was very friendly and gave us great service. All in all it was a very good experience. We got 15% off for kamaaina. We weren’t aloud to use the $ 5 off Unilocal discount on top of the kamaaina but that’s understandable. Wish Happy Hour included food. The drinks looked good though.

Hate Hard Rock Cafes as they typically serve overpriced blah food. I was shocked to have a great burger, great happy hour drink prices, and a wonderful server who was happy to split the bill for the 12 of us(why other places think check splitting is a pain in the butt is beyond me). The burger and drinks were all great. This is the only HRC I’ve been to that I’d return to. Oh yeah, they offer both kama aina and military discounts. Kudos to them!

Good Times on Father’s Day at Hard Rock Café. Place is located in the heart of Waikiki. The ground floor is the Rock Shop and the elevator to the second floor restaurant is towards the back rear right corner for you that have a stroller. Once on the second floor you’ll find a truly unique restaurant in Hawaii with music memorabilia’s from Elvis to Bob Marley, also a wave of guitars going up the ceiling. On the menu I ordered the Cowboy Rib Eye. A 16 oz rib eye aged for nearly a month was«Winnahs“meaning awesome. Our server, Renee was excellent. Her service was outstanding. Overall, definitely check it out if your in town and if you live here«Kamaaina’s» get 15% discount on food and souvenirs. Hard Rock Café’s bucket list Kuwait, Makati, and Honolulu

I feel like most well-known chain restaurants people go to I try so late.(Denny’s and iHop I didn’t try until I was 16!) This is the first ever Hard Rock establishment I have ever been to. It was a great experience! Waikiki is my backyard so parking is not a problem as we walked from my apartment. Once we got there, the hostess led us up the stairs and we were seated on the balcony. It was nice and shaded so heat wasn’t an issue. There was a nice view of Waikiki and a lesser nice view of the wall of construction right next to us. Décor is amazing and the ceiling of guitars, impressive. I wish I could see what it’s like at night since we went for lunch in the bright afternoon. Looking at their menu I could not decide what to get so I settled for Mac and cheese because Mac and cheese as an entrée have never steered me wrong! My friend had the dakine burger. The Mac and cheese was really good — bias Mac and cheese is always good. It came with grilled chicken and garlic bread. About half way through I think the cook went a little bell pepper crazy. My friend’s dakine burger was huge and came with a side of fries which they couldn’t all finish. Our waitress was nice. Nothing too memorable which is always a good thing. I had a feeling she just started working there. After our lunch, we checked out the store downstairs. They have a lot of cool knick knacks and sell exclusive shirts. As I was purchasing a shirt the cashier mentioned that they offer kama’aina discounts! If they did local discounts for dining than I wouldn’t have known because our waitress never asked or mentioned it.

Of big, corporate, touristy restaurants, I thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Hard Rock Café Honolulu. Located just off bustling Kalakaua in the heart of Waikiki, this restaurant is always busy and noisy, which is a lively and happy atmosphere for tourists and locals looking to pretend. The location is large; the gift shop and host stand on the first floor, with the main table area located on the 2nd floor and very large lanai. The bar is big with additional sitting areas for those waiting for tables with a drink The stage is off to one side and often offers live music. I’m a big fan of them offering opportunities to young local bands if for no other reason than to give them a forum for practicing in front of live, happy crowds. The music memorabilia on the walls is plentiful, with most of the pieces offering local Hawaiiana stories. I love the giant wave of guitars leading entering guests up the stairs. Staff is super friendly and always happy to help. The hosts do a good job managing the crowds. Of all my trips here, I’ve never had a bad waiter. The most memorable was Todd; he seemed like he loved his job and helping serve people. The managers are always present and consistently ask for quality of service, which I always appreciate. You must sign up for Hard Rock Rewards: points accrue toward helpful things like gift cards, events, and coupons. I just used the priority seating coupon on a busy Saturday night and only waited 5 minutes for a table without reservation. The happy hour here is also great– discounted pupus and beers are all you need. There is a Unilocal check-in offer of $ 5 off $ 25 purchase. If you’re a local, the kama’aina discount is actually a better deal, so use that. Restrooms are large and clean. The restaurant itself is spacious and fun. The food is always great. I love all the fajita options with all the fixings. The local menu is also fun: all the burgers are worth trying. This is a great place for families, date nights, tourists, locals, or a time out with friends.

Back in the glory days or rock n roll, the Hard Rock Café reminds me of such days of a bygone era. That’s always a fun time period for me. But then again, I was still a baby /kid in that decade. It’s always a treat to rekindle the past and see what’s going on around Waikiki. This was actually the second time I have been to the Hard Rock Café. The first time was for a Unilocal Elite event and that I have enjoyed very much of. This time around, I with a friend of mine and her husband, whom were visiting from Maryland and she had run the 2015 version of the Big Island international marathon a week earlier and was on Oahu for sightseeing and vacation. It was nice to meet her and talk about various marathons across the country and strategizing about where to go and which race to do. Her husband just smiled and nodded, since he doesn’t do marathons. Possibly half marathons, but I didn’t ask. The Hard Rock Café was jamming when we arrived here around 7pm on a brisk recent Monday morning in March 2015. The Hard Rock Café has a mini small store, where you can purchase licensed Hard Rock Café merchandise and memorabilia for those rock heads in your life. The restaurant itself was upstairs, so we just went upstairs and got a table. I was surprised that it wasn’t crowded at all, and we got a seat almost immediately. That’s always a plus when you don’t have to wait. Not sure about parking situation, since I took the ye ol reliable public transit. My friend and her husband drove their rental car from the hotel and parked in an underground parking garage nearby, which was $ 3 per half hour, I think. If you are like me, the bus has a few metro lines that stream to and from Waikiki at your leisure. #2, and #13 are the main staples, as well as #4 and #42, and the #22 for y’all who want to go to Haunama Bay. Waikiki is walkable for sure, so best bet would be to get here, no matter how you do get here for a nice evening out on the town. The ambiance of the Hard Rock Café is somewhat loud, but quiet at the same time. There is obviously mood lighting here, but you can bank on a great atmosphere. Casual as always, but it’s a great way to unwind from a challenging day at work with a couple of drinks and dinner with good friends. Like a lot of restaurants that service the Waikiki area, they accept major credit cards, which is always a plus. It’s always nice to just whip out the credit card and not having to worry about finding the ATM machine. The Hard Rock Café has televisions playing rock concerts at any given time. I was privileged to see the Beetles live in concern way back in the 1960’s. Not my generation, but still nice to see them playing way back when. The service here was average and positive. The server was bubbly and paid attention to us, which was nice. I ultimately ordered the mushroom and swiss burger with fries, which on the menu was $ 16.95. The menu was a sticker shock for sure, but I was okay with it, since a friend of mine from Maryland was coming to visit Hawaii. This doesn’t happen every day, so it was cool. My friend had a salad, whereas her husband had a burger as well, but I forgot which one. We both had beer, she had corona, whereas I got the Kona longboard. I thought the longboard was priced pretty good, thinking that it may have been $ 6 or $ 7, but it was surprisingly low at around $ 4. The restaurant is well run and we got out of there by 8:15pm and walked around Waikiki thereafter. They have a restroom on the property, which was great. Not sure about the wifi, but all in all, can’t complain too much. Yes, the sticker shock can be an interesting value, but the meal was good. Burger was cooked pretty well, although the serving of fries could have been more, instead of inside of a small metal container. Oh well. We graciously declined desert and headed out on our way, even though the brownie sounded pretty tempting. Support local! B

Food! I love the famous fajitas I recommend the hickory ribs, wings and potato skins. I am rediscovering the other menu and entrees Sweet love memories from the long gone youth It’s good to change some things.

Hard Rock Café has expanded their menu to include more Vegetarian/Vegan friendly options… I am impressed by the creative ways they brought more healthy options to the menu, Brittany is tending bar today shaking and stirring and pouring your wildest fantasies behind the bar ;) Slow time of day but I like it like that because then the bartenders get to entertain and chit chat with us and it makes the already awesome environment even better!!! This is a place for a wide range of hard rock/heavy metal genres and time frames… the guitars on the ceiling are amazing and each of them tell a story! Rock and Roll history, great service and an upgrade in menu items!!! WINNING!!!
