May 23, 2015 Saturday on my day off from work I decided to play tourist and check out the stores located in the Makaha Marketplace right down the road from where I live. In order to access the Treasure Seekers Thrift Store & Collectibles a person must pass through the double doors that’s facing the ocean. As soon as you enter the double doors Treasure Seekers Thrift Store & Collectibles is located straight ahead. There’s going to be a big sign with it’s name on the wall. Stepping into the thrift store I noticed at how majorly big the store is. There’s clothing for babies, children, men and women. I noticed shoes, kitchen ware, furnitures, dressers, books, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, paintings, purses, office equipment, as well as motorized wheelchairs. There are a lot of items in this thrift store that an individual who loves to shop for used items can spend up to an hour or more just browsing through all the different items that this store has to offer. I took notice that there is a dressing room stall and a person is allowed 3 garments to try on. I took notice of a sign that was posted in multiple places. The sign had letters and certain letters are 35% off, 25% off, and 10% off. Which ever item that a person chooses there’s a letter above that priced item and the person will get a discount at the register. I took notice that this thrift store does accept Visa and MasterCard as payments. There are so many items to choose from at the Treasure Seekers Thrift Store & Collectibles… I may head back to the store and find something that sparks my interest. I also found out that people can donate unwanted household items to the thrift store during the hours of operation. That’s good to know.
