I had the best local moke-​e (Loco moco) I ever had here. I also order the fish and chips… it was really fresh and the fries were my favorite, big fat crinkly. Definitely intend to go back when I’m working.

Yum yum yum! I loved the adobo fried rice, but the next day, when I came back and got the fish tacos, I was even happier. Try each of those, but also make sure you get a couple bites of their tasty saimin. The corned beef hash was not my favorite, but the other delicious offerings more than make up for it.

Countryside Café always hits the spot. Customer service is great and the food is amazing! The prices are around the price you’d get for a plate lunch. The food presentation was nice to look at and tasted even better. Portions are good, I was done before I finished my meal, but it was so good that I kept eating after I got full.

Very yummy! Went there for Breakfast, seated probably after a 15 – 20 minute wait. We had the loco moke-​o (I believe that’s how it is spelled on their menu) and it was delicious with the fried rice! Plus Kimchi on top made it different than many other restaurants. I had the pancakes, banana foster French toast, and waffles. The banana foster French toast was great but it needs more bananas! I had like 2 slices on each French toast slice. The pancakes were good. The waffles I did not eat because they tasted fried and I personally did not like the taste but others may like! And there was like 3 strawberries pieces on the waffles.
I will just order the banana foster French toast itself next time and ask for more bananas. My husband went back since our visit and ordered the banana nut pancakes and said they were great as well.
Portion size of the food is good, just small amount of fruit was on my plate and more fruit would be better.
Otherwise, You really can’t go wrong with their breakfast for the most part! We will definitely be back again.

Order the trio of waffles, pancakes and French toast. You will not be disappointed. Seriously the best thing I’ve ever had. We also got the country fried steak. Also very good!

Great local spot a little small but nice décor and cute coffee cups right across from the beach and the breakfast was super yummy

This place was decent, but unfortunately did not live up to the high reviews we’d read on Unilocal.
I ordered French toast with a side of potatoes. My husband ordered bananas foster French toast. He was still hungry afterwards & ordered the beachside breakfast.
My French toast was good. My husband enjoyed his bananas foster French toast, but it honestly seemed only marginally different from my plain French toast. There were only a few slices of banana & a dollop of whipped cream to distinguish the two. Still, both dishes tasted good.
My potatoes on the other hand were slightly disappointing. They were cut quite large for breakfast potatoes & as such, some were slightly undercooked. Not horrible, but it’s difficult to mess up a breakfast potato & I was somewhat disappointed.
I probably would have still left this place 4 stars for the French toast & the fast, friendly service, had it not been for the beachside breakfast. We ordered the breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, and an English muffin. The eggs were good. The waitress accidentally brought us white rice instead of an English muffin, but she quickly corrected the error. The bacon, however, was incredibly disappointing. It was seriously, not exaggerating, 90% fat. Not like «oh that piece of bacon is a little fatty.» No. Like «this piece of fat has a bit of bacon on the edge.» I don’t like my bacon fatty at all, but even my husband, who likes slightly higher fat content, found the bacon nearly inedible.
Overall, this place is decent if you’re looking for a reasonably priced stack of pancakes or French toast. Stay away from sides.

Food never disappoints. Limited seating and always hopping in the mornings. The Terichicken fried rice is delicious and for a sweet breakfast, can’t go wrong with the Walk in the Country assortment.

Countryside Café is probably one of the best place I’ve eaten for breakfast. Located in Maili (Waianae).
Everything we ordered was so good and the prices are reasonable! We had the Country Fried Steak, Kalua Pig Eggs Benedict, and a trio of Banana Foster French Toast, Lilikoi Pancakes, and Strawberry Waffles.
It’s so worth the drive to Waianae from East Oahu!!! Definitely will be back again!

A must eatery in Wai’anae close to comprehensive. Look at pics posted and know that meals are as delicious as they look. Went near closing time so it was kinda empty, that was good for us as meals for 4 came fast. Eggs Benedict crab or ham just delish along with starch of choice. Hamburger steak fresh and juicy made according to your preference with a tasty heavy cream/​onion base. This place is a gold mine!

I tried the Bananas foster French toast! So delicious. A few slices of banana and a delicious sauce make it perfect. Also got a bite of their fried rice and I wish I would’ve ordered fried rice to go! Definitely worth it to stop by and try a plate or two!

The food here is good and affordable. The waitress here are friendly and they are fast at taking your order and serving you your food. We had chicken fried steak, bacon, egg and French toast they all taste yummy, we didn’t like the potatoes it’s not that crispy to our liking and the lilikoi butter on their muffin. This place is nothing fancy and it’s small but we got seated right away. I’m sure if they are busy be prepared to wait. Will go back here again and try there other food. A nice hole in wall resturant in Waianae.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast while exploring the west side of Oahu. It was very busy with what appeared to be locals. Definitely not a typical touristy spot, which we liked. We shared the crab cake Benedict. It didn’t come out right away, which was ok because we don’t like to feel rushed. The portions were quite large and we were happy we shared it. My only complaint about the food would be that the egg yolks were not runny, which they should be with eggs Benedict. The meal was still delicious. They left off the salt on the potatoes like we requested. Servers smiled a lot and made us feel welcome.

Much better service this go round! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the food came out extremely quickly. We ordered the walk in the country (our kids favorite), the country fried steak and the luau omelette. Everything tasted great apart from a hair found on a pancake (it happens) and an inedible chewy piece of fat on the chicken/​steak. Still enjoyed our visit though!

In the heart oh maili! Soo happy happy happy we finally stopped to try. Menu is magical! If you live in Waianae and haven’t tried this place… you crazy!
If you visiting the west side… stop by and try em out… I doubt you’d be disappointed

I don’t see this restaurant ever getting anything less than a 5 star review from me.
When you issue a five Star review you always wonder if the restaurant you vouch for will keep that standard alive as they move on. This location isn’t the easiest to find, it’s not the largest, but the food here is A-​Grade material.
They break standards and are not afraid to experiment. Have you ever had a loco moco with white gravy, kim chee and a hash patty?
No?
Me neither until today and it was amazing, nearly everything on their menu is homemade and the flavors are explosive and fresh, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel guilty for not being able to finish your meal but not leaving enough for leftovers.
This quite, unassuming café will be overlooked by many people speeding by on Farrington, but if you read this I urge you to go here at least once.
A hidden gem of the West Side.

My dining pal ordered the garlic shrimp omelette, I ordered the Kalua Benedict and we shared a stack of red velvet pancakes. The coffee wasn’t excellent but it was very hot and freshly brewed. The Kalua Benedict was very tasty, hollandaise was pretty good too. The pancakes were a little thick for us, we like thinner cakes but the cream cheese topping was tasty. My pals omelette was ok, she thought it could’ve been jazzier with some
Cheese or something, as it left something to be desired. Our server was friendly and attentive, didn’t mind when we had a couple requests for more coffee, cream and sugar, and another side of hollandaise. Overall it’s pretty decent.

Happened upon this little gem while heading out camping; amazing food! My wife and I shared the «corned beef hash moke-​o» & «a walk along the countryside». The corned beef hash was excellent, and the gravy was perfect! The «walk along» came with strawberry waffles, buttermilk pancakes, & banana fosters french toast! I couldn’t stop eating. Friendly staff, food came out real fast, inexpensive, and the beach view was beautiful.
I had to come back and try the rest of the menu, so 3 days later, out on our way back from camping, we stopped by. Pork Adobo Fried Rice Omelet was amazing! By far, the best pork adobo ever. Crab cake Benedict was pretty darn good too. Breakfast here on par with Cinnamons, Sweet E, or Yogurstory. They also serve burgers and plate lunch’s; can’t wait to come back.

Our first time here for my daughter’s birthday breakfast. We got there at around 8am and the place was empty. It was perfect that they had one table that seated 6 so we sat down and was given water and menus right away. The menu items all sounded so good that it was hard to choose. So I decided to try the Kalua Benedict with fried rice. The rest of the family’s choices included the Walk Through the Country, Garlic Shrimp Omelet, Local Moke-​O, and a couple of Beachside Breakfasts. We didn’t have to wait long and the dishes came out one by one as they were done cooking so each dishes was delivered hot and ready.
First off, my Kalua Benedict was crazy good! The kalua pig was juicy and the spinach was perfectly sautéed and mixed into the pork. The hollandaise sauce was spot on and went so well with the pork.
Now on to the birthday girl’s choice, the Walk Through the Country. OMG! Triple decadence on a single plate. Strawberry and Whip Cream Belgium Waffles, Lilikoi Pancakes and Bananas Foster French Toast! The french toast was amazingly good. I’d order a full serving of this next time. The waffles were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. So yums.
The Local Moke-​O was super good too. The magic was truly both in the hamburger itself AND the gravy. Perfect combo.
Savory Garlic Shrimp Omeletized?! Yes please! All the rich flavor encapsulated in fluffy eggs! No need to say more.
So after a wonderful breakfast, the check ended up at $ 96 ($ 110 with tax) for the six of us to include all our drinks. A bit pricey bit well, it was my baby’s birthday and everyone was happy. We’ll definitely be back to explore the lunch menu next time.
