Awesome shop. Amazing people. The instructors are great: patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgable. Plus, Aloha’s got the lowest prices by far compared to anyone else on the island, that I could find anyways, and dont let that deter you by assuming the quality of training or gear is any worst because its not. A++ You should definitely get your dive gear and/​or training here.

My go to dive shop. Love the staff and instructors. Definitely get that small island town feeling here.

Do not think that the lower costs means lower quality certification courses! Aloha Scuba Divers was great learning and fun. All of the gear was included in the open water dive course, even mask/​fins/​snorkel. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for gear to rent or buy, this is the place you want to go! I have been into other shops around the island «won’t say names» and the experience was not as good. I have been to this shop about 10 times now and they are very helpful and give very good prices on everything.

We ended up at this gem after driving around since Hanauma Bay was closed on Tuesdays. I figured we could pick up some snorkel gear and do our own snorkeling around North Shore and the other reefs in Waikiki. We met Sarah and another gentleman at Aloha Scuba Divers. The staff was SO friendly and informative. They knew we only needed the gear for a few days and instead of letting us purchase 7 snorkels and sets of fins, Sarah suggested just renting them for cheap! We were extremely happy with the customer service and gear. There was one snorkel that kept getting clogged, but we managed to work it out. The places she recommended were amazing and she even let us keep them an extra day since we were staying on the opposite end of the island. We kept in touch VIA text and she even offered different drop off locations around the island to make it more convenience for us.
I would definitely give them my business again along with referring them to all of my friends and family who travel to this O’ahu. I really appreciate accommodating our needs. 5 stars earned!!!

I’ve been associated with this since 2012. I started my advanced and completed my instructors certification here. I’ve been in and shopped almost every dive shop on the island and still have not found anything better. The lowest prices for gear, classes, and tours. Its a small family shop that focuses on local customers, repeat customer, and those visiting the island that want to learn and dive the right way and the safe way. Its all about you and your comfort not your wallet and how much you can pay. So if your looking for gear, classes, or tours check around and call this shop last. I doubt you will find anything better or cheaper.

This is one of the best hidden treasures on the island. Located right beside Schofield Barracks, you wouldn’t expect to find a shop there. However once you go in, you get the total Mom&Pop feel to the place. They are not about glitz and glamour here which is why they can offer such great deals on classes here. I had looked at classes on the main land and a few places on the island, almost all were over $ 400. You get the same PADI certs here for $ 199 open water. I have no idea how they do it, but thank you for being so cost friendly to this old retired Army guy who just wanted to get into the water. The rental gear was up to dates and very serviceable. The customer service was very friendly and knowledgable. They answered all my questions and gave me a renewed confidence to get my certs. So if you want a great little dive shop with unbelievable prices for classes, this is well worth the drive. Great job guys and no matter what that one guy said, maintain your standards, thats the other thing that sets you apart, and he knows that if he is really a diver. See ya with the fishes soon.

Update: went back and there were two guys there. They were super helpful and took their time in assisting me in finding the appropriate dive gear. When my dive watch broke, they even gave us the tool to fix the battery. I would come back again.
I went to Aloha Scuba to rent gear. I understand the importance of safety but i was really unimpressed by their customer service. I forgot my dive card and they said they could only look up padi certified divers.
I called the place I got my certification and they said that any dive shop should be able to look you up in the data base. All they had to do was go to the Naui website to certification or they could have called the dive shop to confirm my certification. The other dive shop said it shouldn’t have been a problem and it may have been due to a lazy staff.
I called back the dive shop to asked to speak to the store manager. It turns out he was the one who helped me. Its hard to believe the store manager wouldn’t know how to confirm through the NAUI website, regardless if they are a padi certification shop. I called back to inform him and he didn’t really have much to say. I would not come back here again.

I don’t know who the posters that gave this shop 5 stars dealt with but they must be lucky. I have rented gear from this shop 4 times now and every time except for one it has been a bad experience. The prices are good but that is only because the gear is absolute garbage. Bottom line. The first time I went in there, I wanted to rent my mother a BC because she was visiting from the mainland. The employee looked like he had just finished smoking a blunt and acted as though I was a pain for walking into his shop. We rented the gear anyway and went diving. As soon as my mother got into the water, one of the seams on the old, piece of garbage BC started leaking heavily. She sank like a stone in the surf and struggled to get out of the water. When I returned the BC to get her a new one, the guy said that it was full of sand and that is why it leaked. He offered no apology and refused to give me my money back. He told me that I was lucky he wasn’t charging me a cleaning fee. I told him that the only reason it was full of sand was because my mother was being rolled by waves after the BC deflated on her and the sand had nothing to do with it. He didn’t care. I then avoided this shop at all costs but one time, I needed tanks and it was the closest place. I had a different sales person who was nice enough and everything was fine. A few weeks later, I decided to give them a try and assumed that the first guy was just a random piece of trash that surely had been discarded by now. I was wrong. I rented a regulator while mine was being serviced. Again, he was an absolute tool and looks like a complete junky. If you do decide to shop at this piece of garbage shop, he’s the guy with the bone hook things through his ears. Youll know it’s him because his pupils will be the size of golf balls. Anyways, I get to the dive site and sure enough, the regulator is free flowing, bad o-​ring. I brought it back right away. He refused a refund and told me that I should have tested it before leaving. He said something deuchey along the lines of, any decent diver knows to test their gear before they leave. He then explained that because I took it diving (even though I never got into the water) he has no way of knowing if I damaged it. Here’s the best part. He hands me the regulator back and points at the dunk tank. He says, «dip swirl, dip swirl.» while making the hand motions of how to rinse the gear. As if IM the junky moron. I told him there was no way I would wash the gear I never used and paid for, despite it being a broken (and ridiculously outdated) piece of garbage. He told me if I didn’t rinse it, he would charge me a cleaning fee. I have never seen any store associate be so disrespectful and rude. I left, vowing not to ever return. Yesterday, I went diving with a buddy. He rented his tank from aloha divers (they really need to change the name). As soon as he went to turn his air on, air was blowing everywhere. I checked, and sure enough, the o-​ring on the tank was bad. I don’t mean just nicked, this thing looked decades old. It was pitted and cut in 10 different places. I told my buddy I wanted to return the tank with him to get a new one and explained all of the problems I have had with them. I get there, and sure enough, it’s the same piece of garbage employee. I bring him the tank and said, the o-​ring is bad. He says «you should have brought a save the dive kit.» I told him we didn’t have one and he shrugs his shoulders and walks away with the tank. He never comes back out. A second pot head looking kid walks out and asks if he can help us. I get relieved to finally talk to somebody else and explain that we rented a tank and it had a bad o-​ring and we want another. He responds with, «you should have used a save the dive kit». At this point, it took everything in me not to flip out. I asked for another tank, he refused, claiming that we used 1,000 psi out of the tank we rented. First of all, there’s no way 1,000 PSI came out in the 20 seconds it took us to turn off the air so the tank was probably under filled to begin with. Second, these guys are giant pieces of garbage, NEVER go there. EVER.

I took advantage of their recent Labor Day weekend sale to pick up some new snorkeling gear. Their prices were great and the sale helped me get high quality equipment for a fraction of the cost it might normally be.
All of the staff seemed very nice and knowledgeable. We worked primarily with Mark and he was so nice. He could tell that I am no expert by any means and didn’t attempt to push me in to buying gear that was too pricey or would never be used extensively. Mark showed me ALL of the options available and encouraged me to try everything so we’d get it right the first time. («Here’s the option that’s on sale. Here’s the option that might fit you best that also is discounted today. Here’s the option that is blue that matches the blue on the fins you got if color coordinating is your thing…» (Didn’t care about color coordinating but thank you for providing the option!)
My husband is an experienced scuba diver and was impressed with the value and the advice he gave us.
In hindsight I think I asked some silly questions, and Mark didn’t bat an eye. I appreciate that.

This place is a pretty decent store. I was reading the reviews and was a little disappointed at the arrogance of some but I also understood some of the complaints.
Me and my husband have been renting gear from these guys for a few years now. The gear is definitely a little older, but is usually is very good shape. I have not had any broken or ‘dodgy’ gear. I had a problem with my friends second stage on our last dive as it was starting to show signs of wear and tear — they didn’t even question us. Thanked us for letting them know and checked us out.
David, who I’m assuming is the new owner (my apologies if I am wrong), is stunning. However, there are some issues with the other employees. I almost didn’t go back one day, but David may it worth while.
If you can handle some attitude and want a good deal with decent gear. These guys are ok. Just don’t let them bully you.

Should be called NO Aloha… My 10 year old son needed to use the restroom badly on our way to see a friend in Haleiwa, and the guy wouldn’t let him. He yelled at him, asked him how he got in (through the wide open door from the parking lot) and told him to «Get out». No reason to be like that to a nice, polite kid. #fail.
