Hello let us introduce ourselves, we are Virginia & Debbie. Partners in life as well as Beach House owners and managers of these amazing properties. about seven years ago we found our dream on the beach in Wading River. It was a little beach house that needed a lot of work although you would never no that now looking at it lol. When we both decided we should rent here and there some weekends etc. we both were worried about letting people in our home but now we absolutely love sharing our beautiful beach house and meeting such fabulous people. Our neighbors caught on to us and asked if we could help them and so on, and so on and so on… now we are up to about twenty five homes and loving every minute of it. We have the best locations and everything you would need to enjoy your stay!

If you want to be treated like a bunch of high school students this is the house for you! If not, steer clear this lady is very unprofessional. I left my two year old with my parents to rent a house with my husbands childhood friends to celebrate an engagement and 30th birthday only to be the one treated like a child. A few extra adults stopped by during the day to congratulate one of the newly engaged couples because they live far away and immediately she shows up at the house. Upon leaving she thanks us for leaving the house very neat than informs us she’s keeping our 500 dollar security deposit because we had a few extra people come by and she couldn’t enjoy her company. Completely unprofessional. Considering it snowed that day and the marsh across the street was flooding the road she should be happy someone even rented this property for the weekend in early April. So if you want someone staying next door watching you like a child rather than adults then go for it, if not there are plenty of other rentals on the island.

This is an update to my previous review. The manager of the property called me and offered me money back or free lodging if I removed the review. I declined her offer, & told her that Unilocal is a valuable unbiased tool for consumers. I then received an email from her that accused me of lying & threatened legal action if I didn’t withdraw the review.

My fiancé surprised me with a 4-​day stay at Debbie and Virginia’s beachfront cottage in early September 2013. It was simply perfect. The cottage was charming and very comfortable — perfect for a couple. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and everything seemed very new and modern. Plus tons of beach gear. We had great weather, and took advantage of the kayaks and bicycles that were at our disposal. The view on the ocean was incredible, and we loved relaxing in the hammock and grilling on the terrace. Debbie and Virginia were in town and came by to welcome us, with lots of great information about the restaurants and vineyards in the area. We ate at La Plage, a restaurant just down the street, and it was just as good as they said it would be! Debbie and Virginia were also very accommodating when we wanted to stay past checkout time, which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place for a great relaxing getaway.

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY
Despite the negative reviews, we had a very pleasant time during our stay. My brother was excited enough to drive there as early as possible. After beating the horrendous traffic, I made it there around 6 – 7 pm, which was perfect timing for catching one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. It truly was calm, peaceful, and everything I needed to clear my mind.
The house was definitely not the most luxurious place, but that did not stop us from having an amazing time. In fact, we really loved the rustic feel of the cabin. Also the big window in the living room kept reminding us that we are literally only a few feet away from the beach, making it harder to stay in most of the time.
People in charge of our stay, Debbie and Virginia, were extremely helpful and super nice. They made sure everything is as satisfactory as it gets for us, and everything was ready by the time I had arrived.
My only negative view of our trip was that we were told that there would be Kayaks available during our stay (and I love, LOVE, kayaking). But the Kayaks weren’t there until the very last day, and we didn’t get much use out of them. However, this issue was quickly overshadowed by the wonderful, and unexpected, features of our trip (specifically, the surrounding location);
— Wine tasting at several vineyards (Paumanok Vineyards, Jamesport Vineyards)
— Delicious Fried Soft-​shell Crabs, and Lobster Roll from the birth place of the mighty flavorful sandwich (Lobster Roll Northside)
And I saved the best for last
— Two words. Briermere Farms. Unilocal it!

First of all, i don’t consider this a real business. I called prior to arriving to let them know what time i was coming, they didnt answer. I arrived at the address that was given to me and there was no staff on site just friendly cleaning ladies. After settling in, luxurybeachfrontgetaway tells me im in the wrong house? And if i wanted to stay it’d be an extra $ 600. Then puts me in a garage that they turned into a guest house which they are calling a cottage. The bed was awful, they didnt know what rate we agreed on for the 2 nights that i was staying and to make matters worse, they wanted cash. I would never go back to this place and not recommend this to anyone. Just a horrible stay and a horrible business.
