Ground Round Grill & Bar is a fun time meeting place that features a sports bar for friends to hang out and a seperate dining room for families and children. Our menu offers a wide variety of appetizers, salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, Certified Angus Beef Steaks, ribs, and seafood. We also feature a great kids menu with many choices as well as healthy options. We have happy hour every day from 3 to 6pm and 9pm to close that features drink and appetizer specials.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Matt Woelfel has worked in the restaurant business for 25 years prior to operating a Ground Round Grill & Bar. Mr. Woelfel started his career washing dishes at the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Hutchinson, MN in 1988 when he was 14 years old. Mr. Woelfel went on to learn other restaurant positions and purchased the Hutchinson Country Kitchen in 1999. In October of 2006 Mr. Woelfel purchased and renovated the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Redwood Falls, MN. In January 2008 Mr. Woelfel along with a partner acquired the Happy Chef Restaurant in Faribault, MN and converted that location to a Country Kitchen Restaurant. In July of 2012 Mr. Woelfel began construction on a Ground Round Grill & Bar in Waconia, MN. The restaurant opened on January 28, 2013.
