Edible Lawns offers garden installation, backyard chickens, composting systems and rainwater harvesting. We also offer several different maintenance packages to meet your needs whether it’s complete service or just someone to take care of your garden while you’re on vacation.

History

Established in 2010.

Edible Lawns started in the Summer of 2010 combining the passion for sustainability with a love for the Waco area. We are a team with experience in urban agriculture located in Central Texas. We are committed to help take the mystery out of growing your own food.

Meet the Business Owner

Lucas L.

Business Owner

Lucas lived and worked in Bolivia for a year with Mennonite Central Committee on water and agriculture issues with Low German mennonites and local indigenous people. As Urban Gardening Intern at World Hunger Relief, Inc., Lucas managed a community garden, four school gardens and completed their internship program. Lucas taught workshops for the Urban Gardening Coalition on community gardening.

Most importantly we practice what we preach, growing food in our yard, composting and managing a small flock of backyard chickens. If we can do it, so can you!
