Definitely hole in the wall kinda joint. All burgers we ordered were amazing. The onion rings, tater tots, and just plain fries were all amazing too. We were just traveling through and this place had great reviews. I now know why. I have paid three times as much for a burger and have been half as satisfied. Do not judge this place by its cover. Staff is super friendly.

Great food, friendly service. The problem is they are hardly ever open! Closed Sunday, four hours on Saturday, and they close at 2:30PM during the week.

This is a small, clean, old fashioned burger joint! It was a delicious bacon, cheeseburger on a grilled bun! !It is off the beaten path and we’ll worth it! Super nice guys cooking and serving! Definitely want to do it again!

Very small space but worth it. Super friendly staff and everything is made to order right in front of you. Love the counter in front of the grill. Hand made shakes that are huge — easily enough for two people. Don’t forget the tator tots!

Best burger in Waco, in my opinion. You may have to compete for space as it is a small location, but it just adds to the experience of getting a great burger’s burger — no frills or gimmicks. Fries aren’t bad, but try the Texas toothpicks(fried jalapeños that aren’t spicy and come with ranch).

Love the Burgers at Double R!!! Don’t get put off by the vintage exterior, this place is well worn but very clean and friendly. We always stop here on our trips through Waco. Enjoy a GREAT burger!!!

Every time I come back, I order the same thing – an R&R Burger all the way. Picture this: Double patties Double cheese Bacon Fried onion ring Caramelized onions Caramelized jalapenos Fried ham slice Lettuce, tomato Mustard, mayo or both Crispy, crunchy tater tots This item is NOT on the menu, and I was happily indoctrinated to the R&R fraternity by a friend. I now share this with you because it is simply too good not to share! Warning: Not for the faint of heart or weak hearted.

Best burger in Waco. Usually get the dubl-dubl with curly fries and a fountain drink.

We stopped in during a weekend visit to Waco, and this may be the best burger I’ve eaten. The staff was awesome, and our food came out hot and quick! Grab the dubl cheeseburger, order a shake, and thank me later!!!

Holy Crap. Go here. Nough Said. Was passing through Waco and always try to grab some local food that’s not a crappy chain. So glad we found this place! What a burger! If I lived closer I would be 500 lbs. It’s a little hole in the wall, divey place, and they typically make some of the best food. Doubl-R kept that theory going. I had a Dubl-dubl with tots, who doesn’t love tots?! Service was friendly and fast, even though it was 1ish and clearly were in the lunch rush. My fiancé who doesn’t like burgers, LOVED this burger, so that in itself is impressive. The bun was buttered and warm and the patty was thin and edges were crispy. Looking forward to coming back to Waco just to have another Dubl-Dubl! Job well done!

Greasy spoon dive of a burger joint but don’t let the looks of the place or the part of town it’s in keep you from going. Really great burgers and super friendly staff. Seating is cramped and crowded but that just enhances the experience! Burger was hot and delicious on a toasted bun. There were six in our party so we had to wait a bit on our food but it was worth it. Would definitely go back again!!!

Best gut burger in Waco, with the only closest rival being Five Guys! The edge is the shakes with Dublin R. I had a strawberry, so good.

This place is decent. Food: I ordered the Dubl burger without onions(which is basically just 2 patties, lettuce, pickles, and either mustard or mayo) and curly fries. The buns were delicious, buttered, and warm. The patties were also very good, although they were a little smaller than I would have liked. The curly fries were just normal curly fries, but they definitely gave me the short stick on those cause I did not get that many. Service: The service here is great. Friendly cashier greeted us upon entering the place. He also filled up the water container for us when it was empty. After we finished eating, he even helped us clean up after ourselves. Environment: I would call this place a hole in the wall. No defined parking area, small building, looks a little run down on the outside, and not too many tables to sit down in(around 8 – 9 tables). It was cool watching the cooks make your burger for you right there. And the place seemed like a children-friendly place. A downside to the place is that it closes early everyday(before 6:30) so you have to have an early dinner if you want to eat there. I paid $ 9.56 for my burger and fries and cup for water. I would say it’s pretty pricy for a place that has decent burgers(not stellar or especially noteworthy) and a cool hole in the wall feel. Also, the portion size wasn’t very big, just enough to make you say«oh I just ate some food.» I may or may not come back to this place in the future.

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with tots. The tots were a little greasy and over cooked. The burger was pretty good with the bacon not tasting fresh. Small hole in the wall feel which I like! The burger I expected to be more than it was, but still a pretty great burger.

This is literally a hole-in-the-wall local burger joint located in North Waco. This establishment is not the neatest place but it’s never been about the looks here. They specialize in nothing but burgers, and it’s actually one of my favorites in Waco. They butter and grill the buns so that they are served up warm and crispy with the tasty well seasoned patty covered in melting sliced american cheese. Topped with chopped lettuce, sliced onions, tomatoes, pickles, and mayo you have yourself a delicious burger that’s going to stick to your sides. This place is a must try for those who have not yet visited. Side note: it’s not about quantity but quality unless if you’re looking for a delicious artery clogging challenge then ask about the 4×4 challenge. Finish a 4×4 get the second one free but only if you finish it as well.

I honestly didn’t have high expectations because burgers are just burgers … But I was wrong. By far my favorite burger in Waco! The patty is thicker than usual and very juicy! The buns are cooked with butter, maybe, since they tasted really good with a little crunch to them. The fries are also very good, thick yet crunchy and not soggy. Overall, a little pricey since mine came out to be over $ 11, but I will definitely think of this place when I’m craving for a good American burger!

We do not eat out much. Last Friday afternoon I found the time to treat my son and I to the best burger ever. Dubl-R Old Fashioned real melted Cheese burger basket. Always the same, taste the freshest pure lean ground beef and crisp ripe vegetables, they have served since 1996. We have been eating them for 18 years now. Of course Xristo ate the double doubler and bacon with Texas tooth picks. Never greasy. Perfectly seasoned and always served hot! Doublr has never disappointed and always served on a fresh, hot, butter toasted bun. Thank you David! OPA!!!
