History

Established in 2009.

Founded by award-​winning horticulturalist Katherine Moreau, Verdant View is a full-​service landscape design firm and community agriculture leader. After extensive horticulture training with New York Botanical Gardens and decades with landcape-​focused community organizations in the Lower Hudson Valley, we founded Verdant View because we want you to step outside and be moved. Of course, enjoy the stunning views, but also find yourself surrounded by evocative aromas, organic textures, chirping wildlife. We collaborate with each of our clients to create fully customized landscape solutions, no matter the scope or season. Business Owner

Kathy Moreau, the founder and design principal of Verdant View, is a New York Botanical Garden certified horticulturalist and landscape designer. Her gardens have been featured on multiple landscape tours in Westchester County, as well as published in Better Homes & Gardens.

Kathy has also been actively involved in organizations that build community through horticulture, agriculture and open land preservation. Former leadership positions include: Chairman of Gardens and Landscapes, John Jay Homestead (Katonah NY), President, Rusticus Garden Club (Bedford NY), and Founder/​Director, InterGenerate’s Heritage Egg Co-​op (Katonah NY). Kathy was the recipient of the Ruth Sharpe Award for Open Space Preservation. She recently served as consultant to the City of White Plains on community agriculture projects.
