Tavos does great work. Gus gets work done
in timely manner. He knows his stuff on older bikes as well. He bored a YZ80 for my kid and it runs tops. His shop is super clean and he some decent gear, new and used.

I brought my cruiser in with what I thought might be a problem. Tavo saw me right away, looked at it and put my mind at ease. He took the time to explain and look over the bike. Since there was nothing to fix, he was happy to let me go with a hand shake. But I offered to give him some money for his time. He’s a good guy.

Great place place. Knowledgeable and very helpful. Very reasonable prices too. I went in to have my front tire and levers replaced. When i left i found he cleaned my bike some greased my cables. Didnt even charge for it. I going to regularly stop here whenever i need a motorcycle mechanic.

My 150cc scooter needed to be picked up where I got a flat in Carlsbad. Gus the owner, happily closed up shop to rescue me and my bike and took a look at the damages. I left my bike in his care for 4 days.
He was very attentive and called me with any new discovery of my bike.
He sent me pictures of parts that were damaged from previous owner and took the liberty to walk me through the process before looking and adding new parts.
When I came by Saturday morning to pick up my bike, I got a brand new tire, tune up, exhuast pipe and a new swing arm that was completely damaged from the previous owner. My bike looked and sounded the best I’ve ever heard. He even wiped my whole bike down which made me feel like this guy is a very genuine and knowledgeable mechanic.
I highly recommend you taking you bike to this guy, he’s the only one I feel comfortable working on my scooter and I trust his pricing and work.
I will forever be his returning customer and you will see why this guy is he best in North County hands down!

I recently bought a 2003 250 EX Quad. Where was my first stop? Tavo’s of course. I do not buy new bikes or toys and Gus took car of the most recent addition to the family. He put new front tires checked all the fluids (not just the oil), gear case, brake fluid.
Although I have yet to take our new toy out when I got it back it fired right up and Gus patiently went through the items that he fixed.
2004 CRF 80– Gus rebuilt this one and we have had ZERO issues, my son’s bike continues to run strong and starts right up.
97 RM250– Gus recently replaced the Gas tank on this beast with a nice YELLOW desert tank. Gus also installed new ASV levers (brake and clutch) and new rear tire. I love my desert tank and true to form Gus treated this bike as his own. When I saw the bike’s new tank I was expecting an opaque desert tank, however when I saw the matching yellow tank I was very pleased. I did not know that a YELLOW tank was available but Gus did and he made sure my bike looked good.

After having my 50cc scooter repaired by another mechanic for 7 years, I thought he could fix my new 150 cc which kept cutting out on my way to work, choking like it was out of gas. About 6 visits and $ 600 later I decided to change mechanics. I found Tavo’s Motorcycles through a local scooter shop. Gus got to the bottom of it teaching me and showing the right way to ride and put on the gas cap correctly. Turns out it was ‘operator error’ causing the problem! He explained not every bike is the same, and educated me on how to operate correctly the bike I now own. He also was able to pick up my bike from home and drop off at my work, he took my bike apart and took pictures and showed me precisely what he did. He adjusted the valves plus fixed an electrical problem in the handle and two times taking it completely apart to examine plus picking up and dropping off– it cost only $ 400 and the problem (which was mostly me) got permanently fixed Thank God! And Thanks to Tavo’s I don’t have to push my bike to work anymore. LOL ;-D

I found this place through Unilocal.Called multiple places to see where I can get a good price to replace tires on my 2006 R6. After couple calls this shop had the best price. Once I got to the shop I was helped out fast and customer seevice was outstanding. I dropped my bike off wednesday evening (5pm ish) and received a phone call that my bike was ready to be picked up thursday noon. Upon arrival i found out that not only did he replace my tires but made some adjustments free of charge for my safety. Overall i am extremely statisfied and will be coming by again along with any of my friends that needs their bike fixed.
Also, the shop is behind NAPA auto parts. I was lost for a bit since gps told me that i arrived at the plaza but couldnt find the shop.

Gustavo is an excellent motorcycle mechanic! Far more than a part swapping tech, he searches out the root cause of the issue and solves the problem! He goes out of his way to provide excellent customer service and his pricing is always very reasonable. I trust his work and he has become my «Go To Guy» for motorcycle repairs and maintenance on my KLR 650 & Buell Ulysses

Gus is awesome. Fair, honest and takes the time to make sure you understand what what needs to be serviced on you bike. I bought a used bike that had issues and made the mistake to take it somewhere else before I brought it here. The other guys had my bike for over a month and it still didn’t run right. Gus had it back on the road running great in two days. I have found the only mechanic I will ever take my motorcycle to again.

Gus is awesome! He has helped me out with scooter repairs 4 – 5 times and he always does a great job. Moreover he’s honest (you’ll see when you meet him — it’s great to have an honest mechanic!!). Great resource for scooter information. Also, I want to mention, Gus has driven out twice to pick up my scooter because of a break-​down and flat tire. He has a great repair shop, very professional. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else…
