Solatube Home Daylight

I had three solatubes installed last week by Edgar and Kyle and whoa what a huge difference it makes! The guys were very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to brighten up their home.

Set an appointment a week in advanced for 8am Saturday for 2 tubes, got a message from office telling me they could do it sooner… Called office back and told them sooner didn’t work I needed to keep my Saturday appointment… Saturday 9am no one showed up. So I called the office they told me that tech couldn’t make it… Would have been nice if they called to tell me, so they obviously knew when they tried to reschedule they had a conflict on Saturday, just don’t understand why people cant be honest…

Awesome service! Caitlin in the office was extremely helpful. She communicated with me mostly through email which was what I preferred due to my work schedule. She sent Steve to give me a quote he was excellent, answered all my questions. I was happy with the price as well. I emailed Caitlin and she helped work out a early Saturday appointment to fit my schedule not even a week out. Steve the installer came back out and installed our solar fan quickly and let me know the step by step. I highly recommend Solatube Home Daylight! Thank you!

Excellent in all aspects. The tube brightened up a windowless bathroom and the light spills into the adjacent hallway. It was not a simple install as we have a tile roof and over 11feet from the ceiling to the roof. The installers, Gilbert and Hudson, were professional in every way and cleaned up everything completely. Strongly recommend both the product and the company.

Great customer service from initial phone call through installation. Roxanne on the phone and Steve the installer (who has made 27,000) solatube installations. This was painless, seamless and for the final results very reasonable priced. It has made such a difference in the hallway outside our bedrooms, we will have them back out again for more installations. Great product, great employees, great business.

Second time around with Solatube and I am a huge fan! Absolutely transforms any dark space in your home. The company is so easy to work with, the installer Steve who has been with them 28 years is amazing. everyone is friendly and efficient and there is no mess. All you’re left with is a bright and beautiful home. Love them so much, I am getting a fifth one installed.

What a neat concept this Solatube product is, bringing natural sunlight into the home without fading your clothes, towels and bringing heat in.
I’ve been wanting a traditional skylight in my kitchen for some time now and I was at a friends house a few weeks back who just had 1 put in her bathroom, wow what a difference it makes! I couldn’t believe how bright it was and she said she had them come for a consultation and they actually installed it in the same day and were done in 2 hours.
I had to get more information about this so I went up to their office in Vista which is absolutely beautiful, the entire building is naturally lit with sunlight.
Josh greeted me upon my arrival and showed me the different size tubes and the beautiful glass lenses that they offer, I think it’s neat that I can pick out which cover will look best in my house. Josh was very helpful and after we looked at the lenses and the different sizes tubes, he showed me some of the accessories they have, scheduled an in-​home consultation for me and was able to provide me with a price even though he hadn’t seen my kitchen.
Steve their installer came to house this past Saturday for the consultation, I was so happy they’re available on the weekends as I work full time in the week. He was very friendly, informative and let me know that 1 of the 14″ tubes would be the best option for my kitchen. He confirmed the price that Josh had given me in their showroom and again let me look at all of the glass lenses. I decided I like the optiview the best and they actually have a coupon on those right now. He also mentioned that once the tube is installed he can show me all of the different lenses, he said they just twist on and off so I will make the final decision once it’s in.
Unfortunately I do have an HOA so I do have to wait a month to get an approval but Steve gave me an HOA packet to give to my association and Josh offered to help me with anything else they might need.
I’m really looking forward to having this Solatube put into my kitchen and it’s a lot less expensive than what the box skylight was going to cost me. Thank you Solatube, I’m looking forward to having natural light in my kitchen and not having to use the electrical lights in the day time anymore!

Poor leadership and a week product make for high prices and even higher employee turnover.
All of the micro management trickles down to miserable employees. It is too bad. The company used to be decent.

Had a GREAT experience with Solatube.
We bought a house 2 years ago. Light wise, the house is feast or famine, with some parts having a ton of light, and others being so dark that you need lights on all day. The worst is our «great room» (living room/​kitchen combo) where the living room section is surrounded by windows, but the kitchen is a dark hole. We found we had the lights on in the kitchen all day, which is a bummer when natural sunlight has a much more cheerful feeling (not to mention energy use, etc.).
Like many people, we ran into Solatube at a home and garden show. It took a year before we called, but I’m glad we finally did.
Our installer, Steve, was prompt and efficient. We showed him what we were interested in — a tube in the kitchen and another tube in one of our bathrooms (another dark pit in the house). He quickly recommended appropriate sizes for the space, as well as the fixtures that would give us the best light distribution. We also wanted an attic fan (not sure what they’re really called — but it something that circulates the hot attic air out to help keep your house cooler). Since we had talked to them before, researched our options, he didn’t really have to «sell» anything — so he got right to work. He was friendly, clean, efficient and he knew his products/​job well. Before I knew it we had a hole in the kitchen ceiling and sunlight! It made a HUGE difference. The biggest difference was the guest bathroom. it was absolutely flooded with light. So much so that I had an instinct to hit a light switch when I left the room. We were so excited by the results that we asked him if he could install another one in the guest half bath. He said it was no problem and got right to it.
All in all, Steve got to our house, as promised, at 11am and was done at around 3:30, having installed 3 solatubes and an attic fan thing. The job was done quickly and the price was very reasonable. I’m very happy with the product and very happy with the service we received!

I was very happy with the «can do» attitude when faced with my very steep and difficult concrete tile roof.
The light in my stairwell is fabulous and we’ve had a heavy rain — and no leaks!

Yep, the company was that good about coming out and doing the consult, and I was happy with the price they gave me.
The Tech called me and asked if he could be a hour earlier, and said please come on over. Plus the Tech loved my two Pitbulls also. Really that he was a dog person also.
So I had them install the two attic fans, Two hours later the Tech was done, and I get to file for two fed tax credits which will be about $ 380 bucks.
They also gave me a Military discount which was awesome.

Fast and efficient service-​installed in an hour with no mess-​wonderful

We just had a large solatube light installed in our rental house (we have used them prior, and recommended them to friends who have also used them and been very happy). Not an easy install due to super high ceilings and sharp pitch roof but t
hey were right on time, did great work, very attentive to detail and the light made a huge difference in the house. It is a great investment and well worth it. Thank you!

This company met my expectations and more. The installer was very pleasant and easy to have in the house to install two Solatubes. He kept me informed at every step of the way. When I chose a lens option that cost more money, he made sure I got the current voucher, which I knew nothing about — so that it cost me nothing. It was supposed to take up to 2 hours, but due to beams in the way and part of the attic blocked because of the way the house was built, it too over four hours. He worked well with my roofer — Urbach Roofing — who was installing a new roof at the same time. I had both done at the same time to avoid any warranty problems. Through the quoting process and delays due to taking 7 weeks for HOA approval I corresponded with several people at Home Daylight. They were all very pleasant. I highly recommend this company.

This is the second home in which I have worked with this company… they were really great about coming out and talking to me about my options… no pressure… Edgar was very helpful during the design process. On the day of my install, Joe was so great to let me know that I didn’t need 4 units like I thought, 3 would do the trick, so I ended up saving $ 800…
At one point during my install, after I left to run an errand, Joe even stopped to put our potbelly pig in the backyard when he heard her eating my kids’ jack o’ lanterns! If that’s not great customer service, I don’t know what is…
We are doing major remodels to this home… using many different trades… contractors and construction companies can be flaky… these guys are very professional… I would recommend them to anyone who asks… thanks

We highly recommend this company. Everyone who came out to our home was professional and clean. We were offered discounts that we didn’t know about and the installation was completed on time without any problems. The price we paid was the price that was quoted.

I couldn’t be more impressed and happy with Solutube & Home Daylight! Seen them at the home show and figured it would be too expensive to be practical to add sunlight to my master bedroom closet. There’s also the concern with home show dealings that you’ll be pestered to death! Nothing to fear afterall!
The salesrep showed up to my home on time and what a nice guy. He was helpful and pleasant. He’s a true asset to this business I hope they appreciate him!

The installer, again great guy! On time, friendly, worked quickly & left no mess. For drilling through my roof and ceiling I expected some dust, nothing! My closet was left clean but regrettably still messy! LOL!
The outcome was even better than expected! We are still amazed every time we walk past our closet, even though its brighter than our halogen light bar is we still keep thinking we left the lights on! It’s amazing, yes amazing!!! I cannot wait to do my guest bath next. Don’t think twice with dealing with this company, they are all great people, I hope they find great success as they deserve it. I recently had Barney from Solatube in Vista install three 10″ solatubes.
He quietly performed the install in abut 4.5 hrs.
Barney did neat work with minimal dust or mess.
I am impressed with the quality of the components, especially the bathroom light/​exhaust fan combo.
Labor’s a bit high, but you’re buying a five year leak guarantee and a 10 yr product warrantee.
