You haven’t changed a bit Chris Estep. remember when that «african man» who worked with us tried to steal that cage and I caught him! good times back in the old oceanside days… I never thot I’d see the day when you’d actually welcome the petting zoo people into the shop. Well hopefully some day you’l charge admission and reach your goal. I would buy a backstage year safari pass to see the wonderland you got going on… Because knowing you, there isn’t anything ordinary only the truly extraordinary. Because exotic is your middle name. Always will have mad respect for your amazing animals, there care and breeding, and your ability to drop thousands of dollars if its something crazy rare…, So people If you want to see the most dopest birds in the world without having to buy a ticket to australia and spend your entire life looking thru binoculars trying to see one, then look no further… Just don’t touch anything this isn’t a petting zoo. And if your lame and unknowledgeable like the rest of the world theres always LLL reptiles to cater to your want it now needs, were quantity is more important than quality, and they’l sell you any animal you want, who needs to know how to raise them right? .Love always, Little Jorden from Back in the day.

Absolute love this place. I went to have my parakeets wings clipped and nails trimmed. $ 4 — a bird!!! Way cheaper than anyone I around. I called them all. They have advice and tips if you ask, they are very friendly even the bird greet yu when yu walk in. Love this place will recommend.

First off, they are only open on Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm.
I was blown away by this store… in a good way They have some spectacular looking birds. Their toucans and parrots were spectacular. Yes the store is noisy but the birds seemed very lively and happy. They had huge tortoises as well and some fun reptiles too.
I went with my parents and my little girls (2 and 3 years old) and we all had a great time. The owners seemed to know their animals and I wish them well in their plans to build a larger educational children’s zoo here in North County.
I agree with Stephanie and definitely recommend this place.

I am not sure what Sadie H saw, because I was just in the store. The animals are extremely healthy and very well cared full. The owner, Chris, knew each animal well – knew their temprament, their needs, and their quirks. The store is crowded and noisy with happy, healthy birds. There were plenty of heat lamps for the tortoises and snakes, their cages and terrariums were clean and well-​appointed. There is a huge variety of exotics, and I wholeheartedly recommend Reptile Haven and Exotic Birds. Please, when using Unilocal,please consider some of the more horrible reviews are most likely written by a disgruntled employee or a nervous competitor. I am neither.

I absolutely hate Reptile Haven. They are a disgusting business. They neglect their animals, let the cages stink up and endanger the health of the animals and customers, don’t use any heat lamps for their animals during winter, and are all around just terrible, terrible animal caretakers. I’ve seen puppy mills in better condition. It terrifies me that they have more exotic, high-​maintenance, finicky animals. It’s a miracle their surviving in such conditions. Go to LLL Reptile in Oceanside or Escondido instead. The staff there are absolutely wonderful and the animals are so well taken care of.
