Why have I been going to Subway, when Zero’s Subs was so close by? This place is great! The atmosphere is casual and fun, and the sandwich I had was just plain delicious. I got a Chicken Philly with Cheese. Nice toasted roll, tender white meat chicken, cheese, onions!!! I’m going back soon to try the Cubano.

The grinder is always good. This is probably the nicest zeros in VA Beach. I would definitely come here of you are on the beach. They have two sandwiches for 10.49(grinder included). Just prepare to eat.

Decent subs. I’ve had many great subs in my day and these are pretty good. The sides leave some to be desired(mostly frozen types of fried food you can find at any Sheetz). The subs themselves were good quality. I’d say nothing to write home about though.

I was looking for a quick place that had to-go options on my way home from the beach… This place had great reviews, and they weren’t wrong! Cute, small dive-type place. Fairly large parking lot behind this location, thankfully. Maybe 6 tables inside… Very non-descript. Don’t let that fool you. The girl taking orders at the counter was friendly and hilarious. I told her I couldn’t decide between the Italian Grinder and the Philly Steak and Cheese… She whispered the Grinder, and that’s what I got. She suggested the hot pepper relish, and I told her to make it exactly how she eats it, so she added jalapeños, too! I got a large, and it’s a good thing I did. I ate both halves in one sitting. One of the best Italian subs I have ever eaten. The hot pepper relish is a must, although I am glad she added the jalapeños because I enjoyed the extra heat. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was toasted. Meats were flavorful, and the additions were delicious without being overpowering. On my way out, she said, «now when you come back tomorrow, get the 17th St Club.» And I think I might.

While on vacation in Virginia Beach, my brother-in-law and I biked from our oceanfront hotel to Zero’s Subs. This Virginia Beach based sandwich franchise operates roughly 30 restaurants in three states, though all but two are located in Virginia. The 17th Street location sits just five blocks from the boardwalk. Then menu is written on chalk boards above the food preparation area, however descriptions of many of the sandwiches were not available. The staff was kind as they walked us through the menu and offered suggestions along the way. Our carry out order was ready in about five minutes. We ordered a variety of their signature oven baked subs. My favorite was the 17th Street club with sliced turkey breast, baked ham, hearty bacon, and smoked provolone($ 4.65 for 6″). By default subs are dressed with lettuce, tomato, onions, spices, oil, and vinegar. The hearth baked bread was very good and the ingredients were all high quality and fresh. Located close to the beach, Zero’s Subs is a perfect spot for a quick lunch. While the normal prices are fair, be sure to catch the«2 for Tuesday» special, to get two 12″ subs for just $ 10.99!

Stopped in after reading great Unilocal reviews and I’m glad I did. One of the best & freshest sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Additionally, those working there are by far the nicest people on the planet. Definitely worth the little extra time to visit this awesome sandwich shop. Fair & reasonable prices to boot.

Delicious subs! I would have happily paid $ 15 for my sandwich, which only cost $ 5. High quality bread, fresh ingredients, friendly people.

Justin tells me that these Zero’s Subs are all over Virginia Beach. We don’t have any in Atlanta so Justin’s been craving these subs since he moved here 3 years ago! While we were iced in at our hotel in Virginia Beach we were starving and looking for food. We were lucky enough to find a Über driver in the area who drove us over the snow/ice to Zero’s. We got an awesome deal of 2 subs for $ 11 I believe and we both got the Grinders. The warm bread with the salty-peppery deli meat was amazing!!! And it was such a huge sub. If we weren’t starving, we could have easily shared one, but we both were able to eat whole subs. Another awesome part of this place is their brownies! I have a weakness for their brownies I even got another one right before leaving. The atmosphere here is fun too, kind of a dive-bar feel. They even serve local beers. Pretty awesome!

Pretty tasty Zero folks. Just went in and order Chicken and Cheese and a Philly steak and cheese. We were definitely satisfied customers. The customer service was great too. We were greeted as we walked in, no bell notified the cashier, rather she was being a great employee using her observation skills and noticed us. We also recieved a goodbye which seems to be far fetched these days. I will def be coming back here.

2 for Tuesday. They also do happy hour 2 for deals. The Grinders were just as good today as they were many years ago. Clean place and friendly staff.

The best Subs I’ve ever had! The grinder(Italian sub), Philly cheese steak, and meatball and cheese might be the best I’ve ever had.
