Hope is by far the most amazing person/​baker in the area. I met her in 2010 with a real crazy idea for my son’s 1^st birthday. She created the most amazing and delicious cake with only a weeks notice! She is my official «cake lady» and has been for 6 years now! Great taste and great quality

Awesome and professional I have used them twice in the past month and I am very pleased with each one of their products. Their cakes and cupcakes taste phenomenal and their presentation is amazing. Both times were for military events and they came through with amazing products.

I was looking for a special cake for my son’s 7^th Birthday and found yum yum eat em up cakes online. I didn’t even think to check Unilocal until writing this review, and I’m glad it worked out that way. My son’s birthday is Aug 29. I emailed Hope on Aug 15, she responded right away asking of my ideas for the cake. We exchanged several emails, then by Aug 17 we agreed on the design and price. Also on Aug 17 Hope sent me my invoice and I paid the same day. I contacted her again on Friday, Aug 28, the day before my son’s birthday and confirmed everything. We arranged a time for me to pick up the cake the next morning.
The cake was nothing less than awesome in every way. Just look how cool it looks, my son, his friends, and parents all loved it. It tasted as good as it looks.
My experience from start to finish was excellent.

You don’t have to listen to me but I will highly advise you to take my review under careful consideration and read it all the way through. You really will want to find someone else…
I don’t know why I went against my gut when I wanted to give this lady a chance to make a cake for a big event I spent MONTHS planning. Having read Diane C’s situation, I made sure to PM (project manage) the crap out of this whole cake thing. I made it my goal to follow-​up often with Hope from Yum Yum Eat’em Up Cakes. BUT because the reviews were not written by elites, not your regular/​active Unilocaler’s I figured I would take the gamble. I WISH I DID NOT. Future customers, BE VERY CAUTIOUS when enlisting «help» from Yum Yum Ear’em Up Cakes…
1. I reached out to Hope (the owner) April 7 for a cake to be made for May 2.
2. I was impressed when she replied same day. She was the first one to reply out of all my cake inquiries. After speaking over e-​mails and following-​up over the phone she said she would send me an invoice.
3. WEEKS pass, and she did not invoice me. I text/​call her… she asks me for my cake details to confirm one more time. (I am still waiting for an invoice)
4. April 25, I follow up one week prior to the event, and she says she will invoice me.
5. April 29 (3 days prior to the day I need the cake) Hope replies «I’m sorry when we spoke last you mentioned you would call me back with the credit card number but you never did. Soooooo I was under the impression you no longer needed my services. Ok so… You still need the cake what time do you have to pickup on Saturday?» (this is word for word from her e-​mail)
6. I reply and remind her we spoke on Saturday, April 25, and she confirmed she will be sending me the invoice and I have her text messages still saved (luckily) and I also confirmed with her that my e-​mails and texts are being received due to read receipts.
7. Hope replies «My phone is dying. I will call you soon.»
8. We speak over the phone and she tells me she has me confused with another Jill she had earlier in the week. I accept her lack of organization and poor business ethic and tell her I need move forward, If this cannot be complete please tell me so I can enlist help. She says she can do it and will send me the invoice.
THE ICING ON THE CAKE!!!
Friday, May 1, THIS MORNING. THE DAY BEFORE THE PARTY. I check my e-​mail to pay the invoice and the invoice is cancelled. At this point, I am frustrated with the lack of professionalism. I reach out to Hope immediately to resolve or understand where there was a miscommunication and this is Hope’s response (OVER A TEXT, BTW):
Going through my notes we spoke on the 7^th and 8^th I believe you told me that day you would call with payment the next day and I didn’t hear from you anymore until the 25^th which unfortunately I was booked then. So even though I mixed you up with someone else the 25^th was still too late. You contact me yesterday I sent you the invoice with the intention of trying to squeeze you in and over book myself. But again you didn’t make payment so I cancelled your invoice.
My point is, I don’t manage your schedule and in one day if as a business owner you cannot manage your workload you need HELP.

I planned my sons 4^th party at the absolute last minute and wanted a pretty complicated cake. My mom who lives in Suffolk suggested Yum Yum. I gave Ms. Williams a call and she requested that I send her my idea via e-​mail. I did as requested and by the end of the business day she responded. She made the cake!!! Her prices were economical, she was more than professional and prompt. I picked up the cake and it was beautiful and tasted absolutely insane!!! Every layer was a different flavor which was a surprise to me. Ms. Williams out did herself times a billion. I will use her for EVERY event that I plan in the future. I look forward to tasting more of her awesome creations!!!

I don’t know if this is a business were there is more then one person that makes the cakes or not. However, I once ordered a cake, cake pops and cookies from them two months in advance and the lady waited till the day of my baby shower when I had my husband drive to her ‘business’ to pick it up to say she didn’t make them because her home got broken into. Then she put me through a big hassle to get my refund, she said that she will give me a free cake next time. So then I contacted her a month later for the free cake and once again she waited the day of this time my husband’s birthday to say the cake was not ready even though I let her know two weeks in advance. She ignored my calls and was the most unprofessional, uncaring business I’ve came across. I will never TRY to work with this lady again.
