The Sheavly Financial Group, Inc. is a Registered Investment Advisory firm based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We are located at 324 Southport Circle #103 located one half mile south of Town Center near Mount Trashmore.

We utilize TD Ameritrade’s Institutional platform as custodian for our client accounts and a variety of investment tools and supporting research to help guide us in developing the best possible alternatives for each individual portfolio.

Karrie A. Thomas, CFP ®

Karrie A. Thomas, President and Chief Compliance Officer, has been with the Sheavly Financial Group, Inc. since January 1, 2001. She began her employment with the Sheavly Financial Group as a part-​time office manager, and upon graduating from Old Dominion University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, became an Investment Advisor Representative. Karrie completed her CFP certification in November of 2014.

Karrie’s career began when she joined the U.S. Navy in 1989. She traveled the world in her five-​year career with the military before being honorably discharged to continue on with her education. She moved to Virginia Beach with her husband in 1993 and fell in love with the area. Her husband continued on with the U.S. Navy and has since retired after 20 years of service in September 2009.

The CFP certification is a voluntary certification; no federal or state law or regulation requires financial planners to hold CFP certification. It is recognized in
