One of my favorite go to pizza joints in VA Beach. Taste close enough to New York pizza. When I save up money and want good quality pizza, I Better call Sal.

Ordered lunch for office. Two deluxe cheese steak subs. One had extra onions & peppers. When they arrived they were not marked and we could not tell which one was which. I called Sal’s and was told to just look at them. Again, trying to explain the look exactly alike. I was told«I’m not sure what you want me to do.» Very frustrating. Poor customer service. Next time try marking the box with what’s inside. It is too bad because the food is very good. But her attitude left a bad taste.

I’m a Jersey girl who moved to VA Beach 2 years ago. Great pizza is easy to find in Jersey/NY, but not here. After much searching and many disappointnents I have FINALLY found my place. I’d put this pizza up against Jersey pizza any day. Thank you SO much, Sal’s!

I’m definitely hooked on this place. Anytime I get the craving for a down home, New Jersey/New York slice, this place hits closest to home. When dining in, their Garlic Knots are served with marinara, piping hot, drizzled with olive oil, parmesano, and seasonings. Absolutely delicious, and different from others I’ve tried. I’m a sucker for the Sal’s Special wings. Frikkin’ fantabulous! If you’re a homesick Northerner, or you just want a good… no, GREAT slice of pizza, try this place. Bön appetit!

Placed an order, it took an hour to arrive. When it finally came they gave me the wrong order. I called them to tell them about their mistake and they said they would send the delivery driver back out with another pizza. When the driver finally got here with the«2nd» pizza it was cold. Then he asked for the other order back so that he can take it to the correct customer and had the nerve to ask if I «did anything«to it. I advise not to order delivery from this place.

Great local establishment. My ONLY gripe. is please get a website going. I didn’t have a menu and could go off of anything but my friends recommendations and the girl on the phone was awful and had zero customer service skills. Never the less. the Pizza was AWESOME! We got the large Meat Lovers and was super tasty. I also ordered the wings and the wings were pretty darn good! I also ordered there famous Garlic knots which didn’t disappoint at all. The food was just plain top notch! Now only if they got a website and more customer service and this place would hit it out of the park. Will still be back as the food is awesome! Skip big chain pizza places people and support your local establishment!

I absolutely love this place. The 24 inch pies are my favorite. I am originally from New York and this place gets really close to what New York pizza is. Their cheese steaks are delicious as well.

Look. I love the taste of your guys pizza but what in the world has happened to the crust? It’s so unbelievably chewy. Not joking I gave all my crusts to my Yorkie and she stopped eating them. The sauce, cheese, sausage pizza is a damn gold medal grade A knock out, but please change your crust. Your garlic knots are light and crunchy, why not the pizza crust!!!

We wanted to try a new pizza place and this was close to us with good reviews. Loved the thin style pizza. The staff was friendly and helped us with the menu when we were using the wrong one online! Good variety

Very attentive staff and good food. The beer was cold and the food was hot. Try the hand made guacamole they make at the table but beware that the guy making it is very into his work. Guacamole everywhere!

I’m especially picky about the pizza I eat so when a good pizza comes around I know it and this is by far one of the most amazing pizza places I’ve ever been to! I’m in love

I ordered the Mediterranean pizza but to much disappointment, the eggplant was fried. I ate one slice with the eggplant removed and told the waitress I didn’t care for it. I was still charged for it. **After asking for it to be removed from my bill, it was, but a seasoned server would have removed it before bringing me the bill** but I received an attitude because I asked for it to be removed. The pizza would have been so much better if it had been roasted. And more authentic… the poppers are typical frozen bar food poppers. Garlic knots were on point. Servers need to know the menu. I asked the server which she liked better the Greek or Mediterranean and she said«Greek because I like the eggplant.»…eggplant is on the Mediterranean not the Greek. And the menu has a mis-spelling. ** see picture

A few friends and I were really hungry and found a take-out menu at the house for this place, so we decided to order for takeout. After placing out order, I was told it would take about 25 minutes for 3 slices of white pizza with spinach and tomatoes, a large spinach Stromboli, and a small pepperoni calzone. My boyfriend and I arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early and waited for our food. Upon walking in, I was reminded of pizza places in NYC where you can see the oven and a window with their pizza at the entrance. The place seemed like it was family-operated, which is something I love in small businesses. Now for the food… the white pizza was very delicious, and peppers and Parmesan cheese gave it the extra kick it needed. We got about 5 containers of marinara sauce with the Stromboli and calzone, which is a definite plus because I love having something to dip in. The Stromboli was pretty good, but probably could have stayed in the oven a little longer because some parts of the dough was still soft. I didn’t have a chance to try the calzone. Overall, I was pretty impressed with this place and would have to try it again soon!

Free delivery available! I got the pizza, wings, garlic knots combo. Cost $ 27. Ohh and a 2 liter. Pizza wasn’t bad. The crust was alittle hard. The wings were smaller than I like them to be. The ‘hot’ sauce was classic and good. The garlic knots… however were really good! Definitely suggest them. The sauce with the knots was good also. Overall just an on dinner event.

So we did delivery this evening for a work meeting at the office. At 6:40 they said that our pizza would be delivered at 7:10. At 7:35 we were still waiting around for the pie. We had to make a phone call to see what was taking so long. I don’t get food delivered too often and for this reason is why I’d rather get in my car in get the food myself. Who likes to wait? The pizza wasn’t too bad but after waiting for almost an hour I was expecting for everything to taste good since I was so hungry. This wasn’t the case. Sigh…
