Randall Furman, DDS

Going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do. But going to see Dr Furman and his staff is always a pleasant experience. From the first time he saw me on an emergency basis to him becoming the only dentist that I see, he and his staff have made me feel as if I were visiting family rather than going to the dentist.
What else can I say about Dr Furman, he loves Yorkies. I would recommend his practice to anyone.

Dr. Furman is a terrific dentist. He has the tools to show you exactly what he’s going to do and then takes the time to make sure you understand and are comfortable with his solution. Highly recommend him and his thoroughly professional staff.

I have always been fearful of the dentist, especially after having a terrible experience from a now closed practice. Dr. Furman not only assured me of any concerns i had, but has consistently been courteous, professional, and constantly attentive to any fears i may have had.
I now go into his office with no reservations or concerns for my safety or health. I will be a patient for life or however long i live within the area.
Additionally the entire staff is flat out superstars. The team they currently employ is a cohesive communicating unit and you never have to worry about someone not being informed.

Well I just had a root canal about an hour ago and I have to say it was virtually painless! I’m kinda in shock at how much I didn’t feel. I didn’t even feel the shot to numb my gums.amazing. Dr. Furman is great but Mandy is what makes you feel at home and relaxed. I went for a cleaning 2 weeks ago and Kera (I think that is her name) was very nice and did an awesome job on a mouth that hadn’t been to a dentist for 10 years! Nobody likes going to the dentist but if you have to go I completely trust and recommend them!

Dr. Furman was my dentist about 20 years ago before I moved a little further away. He is amazing and you are always confident in him. He is knowledgable and helps you determine what your dental needs are. I tried two other dentist but as you can see, I have come back home. I am comfortable as he talks you through you dental procedure and believe it or not the experience is one that you remember. When I was working, I would go to the office for a procedure and return to work. I followed his instructions and I felt great after a visit. He has a wonderful, friendly staff and if I leave again it will be, that he retired.

I’ve had two visits with Dr. Furman. As someone with a background or King in dental practices, I was very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Dr. Furman was friendly, knowledgeable and had some state-​of-​the-​art equipment that I hadn’t seen any other dental office. I will be going back.

I always enjoy coming to this office. I used to fear the dentist, but ever since I met the staff and Dr. Furman, I knew I was in good hands. Cleanings, X-​rays, and even shots/​fillings are virtually pain free. Best dental office in Virginia beach.

He saw me walking in and ask me what’s wrong and I explain to him and he understand right away. Dr Farman is very friendly and always has a smile on him.
Visiting him since 2009 and will continue.

I had a gem glued onto my tooth 4 years ago. The gem looked very nice, especially in the light, my smile had a little shine to it. A couple of months ago the gem had lost its color and looked like an ugly black dot on my tooth. I wanted to get it removed. I called 4 different offices, noone knew what I was talking about. They thought I was making it up !
I got so fed up explaining my tooth situation I wanted to give up, but decided to give one last try. I found this office and Dr. Furman knew exactly what to do ! I made the appointment a few days later and got my gem removed ! Dr. Furman and the staff were incredibly warm and wonderful.

Super, super nice guy. I haven’t been to the dentist in about 8 years and was extremely nervous. Growing up, my dentist was not so great. This guy is so nice and my dental assistant is fun and friendly and makes you feel so comfortable. They have signs everywhere that tell you to stop them if you ever feel uncomfortable and they DO NOT make you feel bad about it even if you keep doing it. I had 5 cavities and he numbed me up really well. They really do not want you to feel any pain and care a lot about your comfort. Unfortunately one of my teeth WOULD NOT numb so I have to go back in and get laughing gas and another kind of numbing agent. Cross your fingers for me that it works, otherwise we might have to take more drastic measures!

Best dentist who never worked on me. But seriously, thought I needed a certain procedure done and searched for a cosmetic dentist, Dr Furman’s office had good reviews so I gave them a call. Friendly staff scheduled me for a few days later. Showed up for the appointment, met a very upbeat and appropriately laid back staff. Clean place, open and bright — one positive sign when I got there was a teenager who apparently just got done with a cleaning, she was super happy and bantering with the hygienist about how ‘awesome’ the cleaning was. Dr. Furman saw me and after examining me told me I didn’t need the procedure and thoroughly explained why. He stood to make money off of me because I wasn’t using insurance. It is a sad commentary on how things are today when you are surprised by integrity but I was surprised and grateful. I didn’t have work done but in my short time there I would absolutely recommend Dr Furman just based on atmosphere, positive attitude and integrity.

Everyone was friendly. Long wait time to see the doc, but I think it was worth it. Dr. Furman took the time to answer my questions and that is more important than any amount of time spent waiting! I’ve been to other dentists who have only a couple minutes to spend with each patient — Dr. Furman took the time necessary to help me understand what the issues were and to share his thoughts.

Dr. Furman is one of the best! He is gentle, and his shots are painless! The staff is always friendly, and they’re also great with kids. Highly recommend!

The staff is professional and genuinely concerned with my dental health. I always have a great experience at my appointments. Friendly folks that give you honest information to improve your quality of life. Thank goodness I found this Dentist!

I had not been to a dentist in over thirty years. My previous experiences in a dentist’s office had been horrendous. Nonetheless, after thirty years, my teeth were becoming even more horrendous. And as fate and a tooth ache dictated, the thirty year run was over; placing me in Dr. Furman’s office.
After caring for my tooth ache; and upon my first visit, Dr. Furman set down a plan to bring back a healthy mouth. He offered numerous educational materials and advice. Throughout, his bedside manner was impeccable — warm — placing me in an experience that was relaxed and comfortable. All my previous fears of a dentist’s office slipped away.
A year later, my mouth is on the mend and healthy, bringing me to simple, regular cleanings. Before my initial visit, I surely thought I would end up with dentures — with many, if not most of my teeth pulled. But not so. Dr. Furman took the time to help restore a healthy set of teeth. But, most of all, he provided a sense of trust that I could visit a dentist without fear. Quite frankly, I now look forward to visiting his office.
But it’s not because he’s «all that» — it is also because of his staff. Wow! His assistant, Mandy, is as good they come. She was a big part of making me feel welcome and placing me at ease during every procedure. If she does not exorcise a laugh out of you, please check your pulse. Quite simply, she will make you want to come back to the office. And compliments must make the rounds to all the staff: from the wonderfully helpful, front desk — to everyone else I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Everyone makes you feel welcome.
And so, if you have any reservations of visiting a dentist, or new to the area — do not give it a second thought — schedule your appointment with Dr. Furman. Your smile will be wider.

Been going to Dr, Randall for over 18 years. Very happy with his work and great staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
