Post Office

I can’t believe I’m leaving a five star review for a post office. This place is great. I’ve been here many times. There’s rarely a long wait even when there’s a long line. The people who work here are quick and efficient. Again I can’t believe I’m saying this about a post office. I love it here. Great service and pleasant employees.

Sheesh. I know that the post office is on the chopping block for budget cuts and is understaffed, but sheesh. I had a ridiculous time getting the keys to mailbox at my new apartment. I was told to go there and pick up my keys on Tuesday. I take off work early, and get to the post office to be told «I guess the guy didn’t do your box yet, come back next week.» Sheesh. Desperately needing to get a check coming in the mail, I called the higher ups to see if we could expedite the process. «Sure, no problem,» said the man and tells me to come pick up my keys on Thursday. I successfully get my keys and arrive at my apartment complex’s block of mailboxes and realize that he never told me what box the keys belong to. I call him back and he has no idea and advises that I try my key in all of the over 100 mailboxes to see which one was mine. Sheesh. Finally I find my mailbox, but when I go to check my mail the next day my key no longer works. I call the same guy and he tells me «oops, it looks like the first guy who was supposed to change your locks finally got around to it.» Sheesh. Needless to say, I try to limit my interactions with this post office.
