Looks like the price has gone up since 2010… I believe it was $ 7 a person when we went July 6, 2012. There were 3 of us(aged 20, 25& me, 28) and they stuffed us in one seat, which was a little uncomfortable. Definitely better for some prime scary time though! I commented that it was sort of a poor man’s Pirates of the Caribbean, and a lot of the animatronics do remind you of that famous pirate ride. However, as the other review mentions, there are a few things that pop out when you don’t expect it, giving you a scare and making you scream! They use blacklight paint to freak you out as you ride through darkness, illuminating it on the doors only as you pass through them. There was a random Tyrannosaurus Rex flailing around, which made us laugh. It’s really just a silly thing to do on the boardwalk, and a fun way to get out of the heat! I would suggest going to the arcade instead if you don’t have a lot of money to spend — $ 7 goes farther there.

It was silly, primarily meant for kids, but it spooked me twice during the ride. Priced at 6 bux a person, we didn’t mind the cost for a fun bit of silliness on a Saturday night. It’s supposedly a Pirate Ghost Ride, and most of the décor is meant for kids, not adults. But at two times real people popped out and scared me enough to make me squeal.
