I live within walking distance of this place and go here regularly. Love the old comfy feel of the place with mis matched coffee cups and bar seating. Very small with just a few rows of booths. Quick service, good food, and bottomless coffee. Can’t ask for much more !

Love this locals spot. Everytime I come in it’s full but no wait time and food comes literally in way less than 10 mins

They don’t serve fancy gourmet plates but if you’re looking for a comfy, cozy place for good, inexpensive food that isn’t oily, this is the place to go. Been here twice now when I’m in town for work and easily one of my favorite go to places for breakfast. The place is small and cute, nothing over the top or fancy… just a cozy neighborhood café all the way down to the random mugs they use for coffee. The wait staff are all friendly and never had a problem with the service. The food is ridiculously cheap with each platter between $ 5-$ 10, and what’s best is that the food isn’t glistening with grease or oil. The first time I came I had steak and eggs which were ok, can’t expect a mind-blowing steak for the price(exact amount I forget) and the other time I came in I had eggs with corned beef hash, hash browns, and a couple pancakes… which hit the spot of comfort food. Definitely coming back place whenever I’m craving something simple, easy, good, and not bogged down with oil.

Had a nice breakfast. Prices were good, staff was nice and the food was classic diner style breakfast.

My husband and I came here for the very first time last week ~ I’m so happy that we did, since we live so close, it certainly won’t be the last time. The staff is incredibly sweet & genuine and they make the most incredible and tasty eggs Benedict that I’ve ever had!!! I’ve had an eggs Benedict from other places nearby that were good but this was made to PERFECTION! I also ordered the waffle with strawberries & whipped cream ~ they literally melt in your mouth, wow! I’m not exaggerating either. This place is so cozy & calming, I just love it :)

I was in the vicinity and needed to get some breakfast. The criteria: quick and cheap. I pulled out my trusty Unilocal app and this place was at the top of the list. When I got there around 9.30am on a Saturday morning it was very busy. I was dining alone so they recommended the bar and I gladly obliged. I got the Eggs Benedict with hash browns. My dish was just okay and didn’t blow me away, and for price of $ 9 bucks I guess I should have expected that. The hollandaise sauce was average and the biscuit wasn’t very flavorful, I think I actually liked the hash browns the most. The service was quick and friendly and I got checked on multiple times during my visit. I think this place is more of quick service and cheap(decent) food. If I am in the area again I would probably go somewhere else for my breakfast cravings.

We had lunch at Eddy’s café and the food was just OK, not bad but certainly not great. I guess I could best describe it as having a sandwich prepared by your mom when you were a kid. Nothing fancy and no extras just a pretty decent sandwich. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive and that was a big plus. Would certainly have no reservations about eating there again however we would not rush back.

Very nice place for a Sunday morning breakfast. Nothing fancy or pretentious, and the pricing reflects that. Great value and family friendly. Super fast service. As someone else posted, mimosas would be nice.

Coming into Eddy’s I was immediately taken by spacious it appear since they these full mirrors on the wall. Had a seat and was instantly approached by the server. Ordered a coffee that came in a cute Santa puppy mug and this gave it a home-like feel. Not like some white diner mug but like I’m a guest in their home. Everything tasted great, prices were cheap

Eddy’s place is a nice little place. Like a dinner and divey. People are always friendly and food is good. I usually come for breakfast so I have tried everything on the menu, but I have never been disappointed. The décor is very nautical and well done. There are even a couple of seats at the counter. Sad part is no bloody Mary’s or mimosas here. Great place to grab a bite though.

Visited a friend’s hometown for the 4th of July weekend so we stopped at Eddy’s Café the morning after for brunch. I’m not sure what Virginia Beach’s brunch scene is like but do not come here for boozy brunch. We all tried to order Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s only to find out that they do not serve alcohol. The food is good and filling — nothing exceptional, though. For Virginia Beach standards I guess this is decent. Great staff, very sweet people.

Eddy’s Café is your above standard breakfast and lunch spot. We come here occasionally when its a lazy weekend and the idea of cooking our own food is repugnant. There are no surprises on the menu which is just fine. It is straight up eggs, pancakes, benedicts, sausage gravy over biscuits. The two great things going for Eddy’s are the lightning fast service and seriously cheap prices. You can literally get seated, order and eat your food in under 15 minutes all while spending less than 20 bucks total for two people. The only thing you don’t get here is a place to take a nap after stuffing your belly full of all that delicious breakfast food. You have to go home to do that.

I love Eddy’s. They have great customer service and pretty decent food for a fair price. What l like the most though is that they have never once messed up my eggs. I’m pretty finicky about my over hard eggs actually being cooked all the way through while not being burned. Many places often burn them or leave the middles uncooked. But Eddy’s gets it perfect every single time. As a fun bonus, they have a candy dish at the entrance with butterscotch candy. I love that. Nice place overall.

Simply put, this place is VERY average for breakfast foods. I actually enjoy my breakfast at home much better. The best thing is the variety of foods they offer for the cheap price. But hey, you get what you pay for in most cases. The portions were so-so, as I probably could have eaten a little more to feel satisfied. The service, however, was great! I would give this place a try if you are in the area and need a quick bite on a budget.

This is one of my favorite Mom & Pop’s local diners. The quality of food is a notch above iHop, although I wouldn’t recommend the cheese omelets at either place, since they both use processed cheese. Yuck! Their Belgian Waffle is tasty and they are quick to refill your freshly brewed coffee. The service is great! A decent meal for a fair price. This family owned business is a big supporter of local police and EMTs. They are frequent fliers here.

***Great food*** ***Low Prices*** ***Lightning fast service!*** Checking out Unilocal for some places near our shopping trip and Eddy’s Café came up as an option. Came in on a Monday at 11am for lunch, they were about half-full. I ordered Country Fried Steak, and my wife had the Bacon Cheeseburger. My meal meal came with eggs and toast, and I really enjoyed it. My wife’s burger was«huge»!(Her words). It was cooked to order properly and she said it tasted great. The service was excellent also. One thing of note was how short the time is between when we first entered the restaurant, and when our food came to the table. Less than 15 minutes!(I love fast turnaround like that). In short, nice diner with tasty food and great service. FAST cooks during our visit. Folks, when 2 people can both eat a nice meal for 20 bucks, makes you want to forget about fast food places and pay just a couple bucks more for tastier food like this in a diner setting. I will be back, and I highly recommend Eddy’s. :-)

Simple and local, popped in for breakfast on a weekday. Plenty of seating and my waitress was sociable. I chose a simple swiss cheese omelet with hash browns and toast. What arrived was exactly what I ordered. A bit of hot sauce for the eggs, a bit of ketchup for the home fries, a bit of jam for the toast and before I knew it, my plate was clean and my belly was full. Plenty of okay coffee.

Unilocal send them a sticker! My boyfriend and I are Saturday regulars. We love this place because it is close by, the food is great, affordable and the wait staff is super friendly. I get the«Eye Opener» with a side of fruit. I def. recommend Eddy’s!
