Chichos – Strawbridge

Great service. Greeted as I walked in the door. Served quickly and with a smile. Service is a pet peve of mine and I received GREAT customer service. Will definitely recommend and return myself.

It’s been a while since I have been to Chichos, but my mom had some visitors from up north down for the weekend, and decided to go here for dinner after trick or treating ended on Halloween. The last time I was to a Chicos was when they had the small storefront for take out years ago.
This place is located where Atlas used to be, which is near the movie theater. When you come in, the place looks very nice. Once you come in the first set of doors, the door to the bar is to the right. Keep going straight to the next set of doors to get to the main dining room. This place can handle large crowds, including events, and there is a game area at the back of the main dining area for the kids to play if they wanted to.
We came in after trick or treating time on Halloween. That was likely why it was a fairly quiet night. Once we got seated, it took a little bit for the server to come to the table, which was a bit surprising since the place was not busy. Once the server came over, things went smoothly thereafter. Everyone had water to drink, so that was pretty easy. The pizza I had chosen was the White Pizza, substituting tomatoes with pepperoni. This pizza was very good, and definitely one of the better pizzas I have had. It was made and cooked perfectly. This would be a pizza I get again. They also did the substitution at no additional charge, which was also great.
Overall, this was a great experience, including the food. If you’re in the area and looking for a pizza place, this would be one to come to.

So I have been a local to chichos since I can remember. I even worked at the orgin ally strawbridge location in between my college breaks since it was right behind my parents house.
A group of us, about 13 came in saturday night around midnight after a wedding near birdneck and it was dead. I mean like dead for a Saturday night. They had a live band, R N R who were awesome and I enjoyed listening to them but there was 1 table of 2 people and an awkward orgey threesome of people in their 50s at the bar. When we came in we got the stank eye from the older threesome which was not needed. Sorry to interrupt your make out session.
We all ordered a round of drinks and shots which were good. And ended up getting 3 XL pizzas, spicy with pepperoni. I love the spicy sauce it is so unique to chichos and so good. The cheese however was chewy and hard stringy. I dunno, the texture just didn’t do it for me. Also the crust was so flavorless not even the most enthusiastic crust eaters would eat this. A little seasoning would go a long way.
We will probably be back if we are around the area but wouldn’t go out of our way. Just wished there was a more lively late night scene.

I don’t even need to talk about the pizza because everyone knows how great that is. Today I felt like something else and reluctantly got the Philly cheese steak and WOW. It was awesome and the fries were better than five guys. And that’s saying a lot. You need to try them.

I love Cho’s! It’s the local’s pizza for sure. The new location is done right! Even though they have a great bar area, it’s larger and very family friendly. There’s a game area for the kids and the pizza is great. I’ll be back.

Now, I like pizza. But tonight wasn’t the greatest night. Ordered a Classic Supreme and received All the Way. No big deal, but the oldest kid doesn’t like the peppers. So we peel them off. As my wife and I get about half way through our first slice we look at each other in disgust. Come to find out that not only was there bacon bits (which we’ve had enjoyed 3 ATW pizzas before tonight) but chunks of nasty ham pieces about the size of my index finger up to the first knuckle. Being irate, I called and complained to have this pizza removed from my bill… which it will be tomorrow. Thanks for the knots! This won’t reflect my pizza place options, but just know that menus are all different from location to location, which shouldn’t be since there’s only 3 Chichos!

Checked out the new location. It’s definitely big and looks like a great place to hang out. The pizza was not on part with kempsvilles chos but after asking for it to be more cooked it was better. We will be back but the pizza needs a bit of an overhual. Not cooked enough on the bottom.

Coming to test this place. I hope their staff is up to par and food is as well. This is a tough location and it will be bye bye fast without consistent good food quality and responsive staff.
There’s always Ginos, Primos, and pungos Pizza if this flakes out.
