Chicho’s Pizza started out as a small idea by two former Virginia Beach lifeguards who aspired to make great pizza made of nothing but the freshest ingredients!

The first location on the corner of 21st Street and Atlantic Avenue, built in 1968, was an instant success! Patrons saw their orders being baked right in front of their eyes and passersby caught the tantalizing scent of pizza that wafted through the storefront window. It didn’t take long before the Chicho’s pizza + beer combo made the location infamous as ‘The Locals’ Favorite. Its popularity heightened even more when renowned bands would stop by for a slice or two after concerts!

In operation since 1968, we are still committed to its core values of freshness, quality, and simply great tasting pizza!

Ordered a large pizza at 12:30.
Call around 1:45 for an update after being told it’ll be 30 – 45 min. Said its on the way
Just called at 2:15 and guy had no recollection of a pizza being ordered to my hotel… What a joke of a place.
If you want late night food look elsewhere. These guys are clueless

To me this is the best pizza in Virginia Beach hands down. They hand make their sauce (from what I’m told) and you can get spicy or sweet. The spicy is unique to chichos and even though I am would never typically choose a spicy option, I love their sauce! But still, the sweet wins for me just by a little. And they don’t skimp on toppings. Have also had the wings here, they’re great too. And the allover vibe is great. Outdoor patio, usually live music, trivia nights, there’s always something. It’s usually packed and definitely a fun spot not far from the beach.
Also I get pick up frequently and they are always right on time and have super friendly service which I really appreciate.
My only downside is that you can only get spicy sauce on slices of pizza and not sweet. Sweet only comes on the full pizzas. Since I prefer the sweet, I really wish this was different but obviously I still enjoy it even if I get spicy.

As I was sitting enjoying a nice evening with friends a HUGE cockroach ran a crossed the table!!! I informed the waitress and they didn’t seem to see and issue! Will never return!

Two years ago, while in town for a cheer competition, we discovered Chicho’s. We ordered from there twice over a weekend during that visit and When we returned to Virginia Beach earlier this month, I made sure we chose Chicho’s when we were deciding where to order from. Not only was the pizza delicious, but the staff was very accommodating!

I was very disappointed after a friend told us how great this place was and even recommended their wings. I placed a pickup order on March 18th, 2016 and they called us back to tell us the discontinued one of the items we ordered even though it’s still on the menu. We proceeded to pick up the other two items but they were both wrong. We ordered a pizza with sausage, onions and mushrooms but there was no meat on the pizza. We also ordered 10 mild wings all flats with one blue cheese and one ranch but we received a different flavor of wings that were not all flats and only ranch. We noticed once we got to the car but I had my 2 month old with us and we needed together home instead of waiting for them to remake all of our food. We ended up throwing it all away because it wasn’t very good quality. I wish we had enjoyed it more because we live right up the street and would probably frequent often if we hadn’t had this bad experience :/

We came here on a Thursday night and it had more of a bar atmosphere than a family night pizza place. It’s a shame that people still smoke outside when they clearly see that small children are around. Why the restaurant even allows smoking in the area near the back entrance, I don’t even know. /​: For that very reason, this place shouldn’t be considered a place that’s «good for kids.»
Service was slow and it took way too long for us to get our check and get our card back to sign. I get that it was a busy night but I probably waited a good 7 – 10 mins just to get my card back.
The pizza was good, I’d definitely come back for that. Wings and garlic knots were a little burnt. But I’d have to say I wouldn’t come back to eat here, maybe just takeout.

Ok so I am originally from NY so ANY Pizza outside of that area starts out as a 2 in my book. This place is damn good though especially in VA where finding a good pizza is like trying to find a unicorn. This spot is right by the beach, has tons of outdoor seating, great drinks and a booming bar inside, corn hole boards outside, and is pretty much a local hang out spot. I love coming here on nice days. NY is a 7 hour drive so this is my new spot while I live here in VB! There are Chicho’s all over the Hampton Roads area too so you can pretty much assume the quality is the same at all the locations or at least it has been when I have tried them!

Pretty good pizza had pepperoni and pineapple xl and the long happy hour was great. Service wasn’t terrible but it’s really small inside and no heat lamps in the outside seating area. Didn’t have room for 8 people anywhere

Again, a last minute decision. We ordered take out so can’t say much for the place itself, apart from being walking distance to the beach — big plus for me as we were able to go for a walk. The pizza was okay. I think that what really sold it was the fact that it was super fast and two whole pies were only $ 12. Winning!

Please let me start this review on a note of «there are no seats available»
Then it reeks so bad of smoke I might as well have smoke in my lungs and I’m inside the establishment. Third the very sweet server asked if I would mind moving to a high top because he band is coming and 20 mins prior she put me in that seat. Uggghhh now I am waiting at the high top with someone’s half drank Corona waiting for the table to be cleaned. This 5ft3 girl DOES MIND SITTING AT THE HIGH TOP because I had to jump to get up on the chairs BUT the groupon says DINE IN ONLY… SERIOUSLY!!! This isn’t seeming worth it at this point!

A locals fav for many many years! And deserved. Best pizza at the Oceanfront. It’s all in the sauce, either sweet or spicy :) Great place to watch games, or check out local bands. The bartenders rock! Parmesan wings are the truth!

Thought we would watch a little football and have some pizza at Chicho’s one Sunday afternoon. First thing we noticed was the smoking on the enclosed patio that we had to pass through to get inside. Then once seated we got a big whiff of smoke every time the door was opened. Not good if you are not a smoker.
I ordered a side salad which looked like they had put in the container — not bowl– a few days earlier. Tasted like it too.
The server brought out our pizza with paper plates and just not any paper plates but the really cheap ones that soak all the grease and then go limp. Really!!! If you are going to use paper plates use a little better quality.
The pizza was just average not really worthy of ordering again.
The only positive note was the waitstaff was very friendly and helpful.
Needless to say we will not be returning.

The service was kind of iffy. I waited for like 10 minutes before someone came to help me. I originally went because of a groupon but I would definitely go again. The pizza itself made up for the shitty service. And their garlic knots are AMAZING. I would drive the 20 minutes there just for those garlic knots. Fairly priced. The location and even the inside is kind of sketchy but again, I would return because the food was really good.

I ate here with my family on Thursday night. We ordered 3 pizzas. One with just pepperoni for the kids, a white pizza, and the BLT pizza. My favorite was the white pizza. It was delicious! The pizzas came out fast even though the restaurant was completely packed, which was great because we were extremely hungry.

The spicy pizza sauce here is great, don’t be intimidated if you don’t like spicy, it’s worth a try, not too hot and I’m a baby about hot foods. Great drink specials, outdoor seating, and of course, live music some nights! Non-«chain» pizza place, so it’s my go-​to every time I’m in town!

One of those nights when I needed to do a bunch of work in the hotel room, so I got myself a Chicho’s pizza to go and it was damned good. I figured to go with the proper special, the one they call «The Virginia Beach.» Loaded with extra garlic, sausage (sweet or hot, I chose hot), onions, mushrooms and sun-​dried tomatoes. Very tasty, not greasy at all. Quality.
And it was prepared fast. I called when I was on the way, it was ready when they said it would be when I arrived. Good stuff!
Most of the pizza went for dinner (with a beer from the 7-​Eleven) but the rest was perfectly good as breakfast. Because that’s how I roll.

Pizza is phenomenal! The spicy sauce is so incredible! $ 6.99 XL on Sunday Funday! $ 2 Tecates.. Perfect!
The staff is on point and I thoroughly enjoy hanging here!
Live bands are amazing and the atmosphere is great!
They have expanded the deck to include cornhole, as well as the existing pool table. All free!

Expected average pizza by the beach, but it was very good! Took about 20 – 25 minutes. Pizza had good amount of cheese and good quality sausage and pepperoni. Thought the price was fair. Fries were also battered and crispy. Took to-​go to the beach and family really enjoyed it.
Inside is kind of divey bar scene (but not dirty). Staff is very casual.

Some pretty damn good pizza. Very surprised. Not sure why I had low expectations. Apparently, I’ve heard (not read on Unilocal) that these folks were struggling. Anyway, I’m impressed. Nice juicy slices that are very saucy
It’s definitely a local’s type spot. Very hole in the wall feel.
The very best thing about this place… Photo Hunt. Adult style. You may get offended when you see it. But I did find two women playing the game so my group joined them and help them achieve new high scores!
