Great customer service! They sent an extra set of hands at no cost. Showed up early worked very fast, worked so hard and did not break a thing.

Super friendly, quick, professional — but the guys they sent out were all muscle, no finesse. When movers are talented, the whole thing works like a ballet but these guys were kind of clumsy and not as efficient as most movers I’ve used.

Great customer service and easily booked the movers. All of the movers were great! They arrived on time and got to work immediately. The weather was awful and they took the time to lay down pads and pathways throughout the house to protect the floors.
It was great having them take apart all of the large furniture and they were careful to keep all of the items together. They wrapped and used plastic wrap on all of my furniture.
I can’t imagine having completed the move without them! I will certainly be calling Bust-​a-​Move the next time that I need to move.

I needed movers at the last minute for my local move. When I called, the person on the other side was polite and well informed. I was recommended to make my reservation online.
The online reservation was simple and easy to do. The pricing is reasonable and the options are flexible.
On the day of the move the guys arrived on time and not a moment was wasted. They did a great job!

Johnny and his guys were a great team! They moved my family and I from Newport News to just outside of Atlanta. They were very professional as well as careful with our belongings. Everything was wrapped and taken care of. They also provided a fair price For their outstanding service. If you are moving, do yourself a favor and call Bust a Move!

They helped me for my long distance moving. All of them were nice and kind. They wrapped all the fragile furniture before putting them
in their truck. They work very efficiently so you are not wasting your time and money. I would highly recommend them!!!

I live on an army base. They send 2 guys. One gets arrested for who knows what reason and isn’t allowed on base. The 2^nd isn’t allowed on for another reason. It took them 45 minutes to call me and tell me they were having issues. The ONLY good thing is the refund that I got back.

Johnny and his crew are amazing! Got eveything moved out of old house and moved into new house all in one day.

First time using a moving company, I was a little hesitant as I was moving to another town. Pricing was reasonable. They showed up on time and did a great loading job. A little late to my location but that was due to a mechanical issue with the truck they used (Enterprise) Not their own. They were very efficient at unloading and setting up all that they had taken apart. I had a big chunk out of my dresser mirror and was told Johnny would get with me on that but after several emails I have gotten no response. Other than that I was satisfied.

Best movers ever! Mike and Paul were on time and introduced themselves right away. They worked very quickly and efficiently and even finished early. Please tip them well as they were very professional and efficient! I would definitely use them again! Nothing was damaged in our move.

First let me say I am horrible at writing reviews. Too often though I believe people are quick to complain and do not give enough praise. I’d like to say my experience with Bust-​a-​move was great! The guys were professional, courteous, and thoughtful. Thoughtful of our belongings and our time. They called to keep us informed of the time we could expect them and were right on time to what they quoted. Johnny and Corey were on point. Our move was from a third story apartment to another third story apartment. Not once did they give me the impression it was a monster of a move (even though I knew it was). All of our belongings were handled with care and we had no damage. Thank you guys for your service and I would definitely recommend them again!

Johnny and his wonderful team had us moved quickly and effortlessly! I run two businesses and moving was just NOT at the top of my list. They had everything under control and they wrapped ALL of our furniture to protect it! Nothing was broken when we arrived at the new place and everything was where we needed it to be. I felt so bad because the first stop, our apartment was so far away from the street and moving truck, but the guys were great! They even were able to make jokes with my four-​year-​old son while working quickly!

Watching three men pack my life into a 10×15 storage unit is a surreal moment. I have moved many times in the last 8 years, but always the destination was my mailing address. This… this was different. They were putting everything in a metal container with a garage door – my sofa, my books, maybe my soul, too…
The movers were kindness personified, but also blessed with Mercurial speed. In under 4 hours, with Tetris-​precision, they quickly had stowed my things into the storage unit, all the while chatting with me about the books I had toted from place to place to place. I will absolutely call upon them again when the day comes to roll up that door.

I have been meaning to write this review for sometime now but just haven’t gotten around to it until now (I’m the worst!). I have used Bust-​A-​Move twice now and couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and professional moving help that I received.
On the first occasion I needed help just moving a mattress and boxspring (That’s it!) from one apartment to another apartment that was less than a half mile away. Seems simple right? Well I actually found it extremely difficult to find a moving company who would just help me move the one item because it would take less time than the 2 hour minimum that many of these moving companies had. I called and called around. Finally I called Johnny and he understood the predicament I was in and gave me a great quote and even brought his own small trailer attached to his truck to load the mattress into! He was very friendly on the phone and easy to work with. I told him that my boyfriend would help with some of the lifting so he wouldn’t need to bring an extra hand from Bust-​A-​Move. Johnny was on time and the mattress was moved successfully.
The second time I used Bust-​A-​Move was during my big move from Arlington, VA to Norfolk, VA. I had a U-​haul truck with all of the contents of my one bedroom apartment and needed help unloading everything. Once again, Johnny was on time and super professional. He and another guy from Bust-​A-​Move unpacked everything in under two hours. All of my belongings were handled with great care. If and when I move again, I will most definitely know who to call to help unload my belongings! And if you are moving locally or even long distant call Johnny and you’ll be happy you did!

Imagine having your best friends come help you move. Now imagine your best friends being professional movers.

Bust A Move has moved me and my family 3 different times now, the last move being 1÷30÷2014, in all the messy snow and terrible weather! I was a nervous wreck! But thanks to Johnny and his crew, Darius, Paul and a new guy, the move went fabulous. So professional, on time and everything was wrapped and protected, it was very smooth. Thank you to Bust A Move again, I will always use you (I hope not for awhile… LOL!), and definitely recommend you EVERY chance I get! Thanks again.

A 1 ½ hour wait: had to call to inquire, after 30 minutes of waiting, and was told they were «running late». No call? I’d paid other people waiting for our arrival to help, as they waited. And waited. No communication by management regarding procedure; had to replace filled dresser and cabinet drawers (contrary to other moving company directives and brochures explaining procedures in the past), which was a huge waste of time.
Actual moving staff was efficient and courteous, though they arrived at new residence «taxi-​style»: seemingly taking the most indirect route possible to arrive — as we again, waited.
It’s too bad communication isn’t considered primary in establishing good business relationships, as the reverse is often true, too: good communication, poor work.

Pure professionalism from start to finish! Being Military, I have had to move multiple times around and this company is among the best that I have used. The manager Johnny gave great advise and did whatever he could to make sure that I was happy. The rates were quite fair and two movers helped us move a 10×20 storage unit to a house in a record three hours! Bust-​a-​move and get it done right the first time!
