Food is delicious, staff is amazing, attentive and friendly. They have done SUCH a good job making this a fast, casual and fun place to grab a bite:)!! MUST TRY, yum yum yum!!!

I’ve been here twice & have enjoyed myself both times. It’s a beach bar, so don’t expect a fine dining experience. It’s a little confusing when you walk in, there doesn’t seem to be a hostess so you kind of seat yourself or wait for an employee to acknowledge you.
They have daily specials & a decent happy hour. The first time we came was a Sunday where we had their taco & margarita special. The tacos were good for being a dollar! The next time we came was for their Wednesday .50 wing night. I had heard great things about their wings & they didn’t disappoint. They have a lot of flavors to choose from.
I’ve heard friends say that their service has been slow, but we’ve always had a good experience! I’ll definitely be back to try out more of their deals.

Beer was cold, cheap and good. The waitress was great! the wings had great sauce but they were COLD! Just left on a Friday night very disappointed! the prime rib although it was well seasoned and tasty was really fukin cold I had to ask to warm it up a little more and even then it was cold! I got a little worried when the couple behind me complained about their meal being cold too but still i kept positive, my wife had the shrimp thank god they were fried so that’s the only dish that was hot! my sons burger was cold! And it was a bit rare who cooks rare burgers for a kid?! Thank god I’ve gotten my son used to under cooked beef! I read reviews before I got here and I had really high hopes for this place so much I dragged the wife out while she had a headache on a 20 minute drive cuz I really wanted that prime rib but damn was I dissatisfied! I may return only cuz happy hour is till 9 and they have live music, that’s always a plus but the food was really dissapointing! Attention owners get your kitchen together! If ppl go out to eat u should at least serve hot food I thought the wings were warm on purpose and told my wife most places have really hot wings so they probably do this on purpose so u can enjoy them right away I was defending u guys but then my steak being cold and the couple behind me complaining about cold food?! Coincidence? I think not! Something wrong is happening in your kitchen that u should really look into, thank god I had a gift certificate for 25 bucks my wife won at work! I was gonna give 2 stars but the nice waitress earned u 3! I guess if I ever return I’ll only have beer and wings the coleslaw was mediocre and so was broccoli I must say the my wife’s fried shrimp wasn’t overly breaded and it was really good why did we have to ask for tartar sauce when I ordered fried shrimp instead of already coming with some on the side? Lol the world may never know! The place had a fun crowd but I was surprised my thick steak came out so fast but realizing how cold it was I guess they have them precooked in fact it was so cold the fat on the steak was hard and for all my steak lovers u know that’s a no no! A good steak has some fat that u can enjoy with the lean meat I left it alone cuz it was so cold! Damn bucket heads I really wanted to love u specially reading u won awards for ur wings but wow DISSAPOINTING!!!

Good food and reasonably priced comparatively. Good for kids. The service was a little lacking. We never received drink refills. This seems like an active, little place with fun events and specials and things like wing night (50 cent wings Wednesday) and kids eat free (Tuesday).

We have now made it a tradition to go every Wednesday and I have to correct my earlier statement, their wings are definitely some of best in this area. I have now tried pretty much all of their flavors, which are all very good, and stick to my top 2 every week: the honey habanero and their top awarded one, mango buffalo, a definite must try! (not even listed on the menu since they haven’t updated it the menu since the new flavor was developed).
The only negatives at this point are the following:
1) the menu is difficult to read, fortunately we only get the wings and know them by heart at this point
2) some Wednesday’s it’s not busy at all so we get a seat in the dining section but other Wednesday nights it’s packed to the point where we have to sit on the bar side which is always super loud

Mango buffalo wings amazing. Fun friendly bar and grill. Why would you go anywhere else?

Happy hour prices are great! Their daily menu specials are awesome.

Not a classy place. We ordered wings because the establishment won Hampton Roads «War of the Wings». The wings are good. But not worth putting up with being surrounded by other patrons dropping f bombs every other word and listening to x rated rap music. Get me out of here.
And no. I am not a prude or a snob.

Service is always pretty good. I have been twice once for all you can eat crablegs and they ran out. Second time just ordered appetizers they are prefab frozen not very good. Its a cool locals place put food subpar

My friend and I visited here the other day. We have lived in the general area and totally over looked this place. To make a long story short, Bucketheads is a local gem. Sure, it is your typical dive sports bar, but the staff is SUPER friendly and the price is RIGHT. Seriously. Try the pork sliders or tuna tacos. I can’t believe it was that good! I’ll definitely come back.

This is for Prime Rib nights on Fridays! I saw that Prime Rib night used to be Tuesday’s so, I recommend calling to ensure.
The prime rib recipe is apparently the same that was used in Second Alarm, restaurant from 1980’s in same location. This has been one of the best PR’s I’ve had in the area. Flavorful & not bland. Comes with au jus, horseradish sauce & two sides! It was a thick cut 12oz for about $ 15.95. So worth it! Go get u some! I know I’ll be back! Gotta have it!

Came here for the first time and the food was excellent I had the chicken taco. Sweet tea was very nice as well. they got very busy but the waitress did an excellent job for having such a large crowd. I will be back again.

Great food. Had the BBQ since the bartender recommended it, pulled pork overflowing the roll, very good homemade slaw. Very friendly bar crowd, even though I had my Steelers hat on. They had a Veterans band outside, big crowd but never had to wait for a beer.

On a rainy cold day my boyfriend and I decided to go meet virginia beach and didn’t really find much open but this great looking bar & grill down the shore drive, it called our attention by the looks onice the outside, it was a bit empty but the people that were there seemed to be locals because they knew the bartender… the bartender helps us right away and the drinks were amazing… I had my fist bloody Mary there is was really good and the food wasgreat we ordered appetizers of chicken strip and cheese sticks they were amazingly good. I can’t wait to return the virginia beach to visit this bar again, very satisfied

Pretty decent spot for Sunday football if you aren’t into the loud, crowded places and want good service. Food is pretty good (they were out of mozzarella sticks, gotta stock up on football weekends!) You can throw in for a $ 5 pool and pick winning teams for the day (winner takes all)
Amazing buffalo wings which are 50 cents each during game time. We enjoyed the ahi nachos as well.
Will return here for games as its a guaranteed seat with guaranteed good and fast service.

This place was newly taken over and the food is the best on shore drive! I have been a lot of places and have been here when is was a different establishment and it is the best food I have had on shore drive. The owners have really made an effort to reach out to all the locals. Their bar has great prices and the service was amazing! It is a sleeper place that we need to keep around!!!

Nice new place. Across Shore Drive from Froggies. I expected it to be a dive seafood place. It wasn’t. Fun and diverse menu. Beer came in a mason jar. My wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was huge. It came out wrong, though we didn’t notice but our waiter did and immediately scooped it up and had it fixed. Good fries. I had the fried shrimp platter. Fresh lightly battered shrimp. Some were butterflied, some were not. We got the ahi tacos. It was more Asian than Mexican.
**note to the management. Please change the «Queso» section on the back page to read «quesadillas.» They are clearly not the same thing. It was confusing and I’m guessing your wait staff spends a lot of time explaining that.**
