Very convenient. Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Stocks a wide variety of stuff, from nuts and bolts, bike tires, fishing gear, to yard supplies. Fair pricing.

I’ve been coming here for years. More often than not I find what I’m looking for and I’ve always found whoever is at the counter to be friendly and helpful. I also find them good for odds and ends that you won’t find in a chain store, for example, brass nuts & bolts to mount a motherboard in a custom made computer case. Long story short, they’ve been around since I was a kid growing up nearby and when I’m out at the parents house doing work for them I prefer to stop in here and give my money to a locally owned business vs a chain.

Not sure what happen to a review I wrote over a year ago with lots of pics, or all my checks. There were two listings under different names. The other listing evidently never got merged by Unilocal.I believe my last review had them at a 3. I am happy to upgrade today. Located in Chicks Beach in a strip and yes it’s small, yes the prices are a little more on some items, yes the selection is more challenged than the big box. But you know what, this little hardware store also surprises me often with what they can do in their 500, or so square feet retail space. I have used the numerous times for Rug Doctor. I have used them numerous times for easy convenient items rather than go to the big box, park look around and usually have issues with getting help right away. I can tell you customer service will not be a problem, they have always greeted me and are ready to assist with my needs. The front sidewalk area was cleared of ice and snow and no trash. A walk in the door found them organized as usual signage on the end of aisles to find what your looking for. No debris on the floor ever, but like most hardware stores they can get dusty and this is no exception. The front area with the snow and salt looked better than expected too! So what do they have under roof. Almost everything in smaller quality except for lumber. So you can find electrical, plumbing, tools, bicycles and many more. Today while in I saw they had traditional medal rail sleds. But the most important item for me was a snow shovel and that is what brought me in twice today. With the recent snow in the area over the past two weeks no one has had a supply of snow shovels. They had both the plastic traditional and the plastic coal shovel type and I grabbed one of each. I have really liked my little local hardware store and appreciate keeping my business close and in town when possible.

Was just here with my husband and we received very poor customer service. My husband had a couple questions, and the man at the counter gave some pretty rude answers, and talked down to my husband. We went ahead and bought what we came for, but we’re considering returning it and just going to Lowe’s. I like giving business to smaller stores rather than big chains, but with that kind of customer service, I would rather go to a big chain like Lowe’s. At least they’ve always given us good customer service. Very disappointed, and will not be returning.

Amazing customer service and advice. They usually end up throwing in some flowers for free when I buy them and today they gave me free PVC remnants for my dog. A few weeks ago the owner drove a product from the oceanfront store to this location just for me. In the end, I get a better deal than Home Depot, get much better service and get to support a small business.

I like any hardware store that sells live bait. «You might be in a coastal town if…» If you live in the Shore Drive area, you’ve surely seen this little place in the shopping center at the corner of Shore and Pleasure House. They’re holding the flame for old fashioned hardware stores, and God love them for it. You can go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and wander aimlessly or you can probably find all the basics you need here. They sell beach cruisers. So the outside is lined up with brightly colored, cushy two-wheeled bikes and beach chairs. Inside they have all of the beach cruiser parts and accessories you might need to repair and/or pimp said beach cruisers – including sparkly banana seats and black seats with flames on them. And of course, there’s the bait.
